@@danielhornby5581 0:36 No it doesn't. I love the line "I dunno what all the fuss is about" with a massive smirk on him, knowing how many additional attempts they've got to trim from the VT.
Eric Bristow I watched as a kid winning most things but most of all his sense of humour was outstanding He could see the funny side even when he was behind in a game Always remembered as one of the greats ......R.I.P
That was edited. Bristow struggles to hit even maximums at the time..he came to rileys with deller for a 16 man comp.and was knocked out 5-0 by a local player.a former shadow of himself..a great player in his day.and shame what happened..r I p still." King eric "
Yep, got mine from Argos as a kid sometime in the 80s. Years later as an adult I thought they were long since lost to time and multiple moves and my partner replaced them when she bought me a board & cabinet for our new house. Then later somehow they resurface along with an envelope stuffed full of spare flights from the 80s & 90s. I recognised them instantly from the close-ups in this clip.
@@dazuk1969 Ahh mine are a bit Trigger's broomed now, so I couldn't give you an accurate weight, but the weights I'd noted on the chalkboard were 25g for the Bristow barrel set & 34g for the replacements - Eric's darts won 2 legs to 1 against myself!🎯📝
@@ManWalksDogs Well thanks for that, it's really weird as I was just watching Bristow talk about his Darts and how to choose a set that works for you...then I came across your post. Life is a funny ol thing eh. Thanks for reply.
Had the pleasure of playing Eric at a charity event . . Needless to say I got a whopping but a true gent and a great sport! The original and the best. . Thanks for the memories big man!
As an airman in the USAF at RAF Woodbridge, Suffolk, I was fascinated with the sport of darts. And Eric was the man!! 1985-88 in the UK was the best ever! 19 years old...time of yer, kid! And this guy damn near won everything! 😆🙏
@@Phuc_Yhou When I got there, I was housed in what was soon to be the old barracks, because the two big new ones for AGS and EMS were just being finished and about to open. About 2 months or so... along with the new Chow Hall. Do you remember that? Then, in 2014, I went back and they JUST about to tear THOSE buildings down, because Rock Barracks was done. Some RA soldiers at the guard shack even asked if I wanted to go and see them gir the last time!! I should've, but didn't want to impose, plus I was on a tight schedule...
@@David_Watts we were only on the house building site doing the groundworks, foundations, drainage rods etc so didn't work on the main buildings. I made friends with one of the guards who took me to see the SR71 at Mildenhall in his time off, in return I took him to a real ale pub and the art of drinking pints and a kebab chaser 😂
eric bristow is a legend what made him number 1 was he was so cool under pressure, all of the other top players have had chances to win a game, ie lowe and jocky etc. he would just smile and say why didn't you go for it 😂 then one dart in his hand at a double to win the game and hit it. if there was ever a player who should of been called one dart its this man. long live king eric.
That's because he has had dartitis since 1986, he made a brief recovery until the early 2000s when he retired. The Tayor- Bristow game you mentioned was last April, whereas this was 12 years ago.
Obviously edited just like a Jimmy White 147 demo. That`s not taking anything away from these two stars both ambassadors for their sport. God bless you Eric you will be missed...
Eric Bristow was a great dart player also got a hand signed photo from him right before he snuffed it because I was meeting a friend in liverpool somebody told me Eric Bristow is in the pub five minutes later he kicked the bucket 😱
Darts is solid your more likely to get good at heart surgery than you are at darts, it's so hard to be accurate consistently. No one commenting negatively would even win a leg against Eric bristow. And he backed Phil the power Taylor financially to start him as a pro. so he gave us two of the greatest ever
