Love how Eric never fails to play something striking right in the first 30 seconds so that everybody around knows that it's not just another performance. It's Clapton the God's.

Clapton has the best musicians with him at all times,Chris Stanton has been his man at the piano forever.

What I love about Henry Spinetti is that he's always a 350% on them drums. He just loves playing on stage, even in 2023. Eric should have him alongside as his regular drummer buddy. He is a beast.

This is probably one of the best versions of Crossroads I have heard Eric play post-Cream. Exquisite solos. But, I don't think the singer duo helped one bit. Just one. thing missing though: that wild sense of abandon that you get from trying to keep up with his admittedly technically wrong playing that we heard on Wheels of Fire. Man, THAT was a solo unlike anything else I have ever heard Eric play. I know he didn't like that version, and he's explained why, but I'm sorry. I just gotta disagree. Somehow, Cream made that version work in the end despite the "mistakes." But man, what a f*cking ride! Cream didn't merely "play." They roared.

I like his fender playing. But I prefer his cream 335 version

There just ain't no passion in his playing or arrangements any more. Sad
