There is something exceptional in him that makes me consider him above others. Not in terms of technique of playing, although he would be able to play almost anything. Just a combination of an unique style along with soothing voice make him undeniably second to none.
Masterpiece. I've been playing for ten years and i can't get over how Clapton, and musicians like him, can make such beautiful songs, with so much feeling, out of the most simplest chord progressions. It's amazing.
Everyone can learn to play those chords, scales and learn the theory and with enough practice - the technique. What you can't learn is the feel and the groove. And that is what it is all about.
Love can mend your life But love can break your heart... pickin up the pieces with music... I love that song,it always makes me cry cause it is so pureand true Thank you EC and Robert Cray🔝
It''s a Saturday night. It's 1 am in the morning and Imagine this song is playing and a bottle of whiskey by your side to give you company. Reminiscing the 'past'- those both good and bad memories. Longing of the old love's body !
You people know robert cray is playing most of the leads on this song. They play a nice duet a the bridge and the end of the song. They co-wrote this song together.

I can feel your body When I'm lying in bed There's too much confusion Going around through my head And it makes me so angry To know that the flame still burns Why can't I get over? When will I ever learn? Old love, leave me alone Old love, go on home I can see your face But I know that it's not real It's just an illusion Caused by how I used to feel And it makes me so angry To know that the flame will always burn I'll never get over I know now that I'll never learn Old love, leave me alone Old love, go on home

Thanks for posting this Michael20397! I had never heard this original version before, except when Cray and Clapton performed it live on Nightmusic. Anyways, this original HQ recording is beyond sweet!
Wasn't into Clapton growing up. This song was the one that 1st got my attention. First heard it on an episode of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman of all things.

Maybe the song helps but it doesn’t take away the pain & heartbreak 💔 Wanting & longing for that “one” I had mine now he’s gone forever 😢💔 we loved listening to the blues 🎶
