This song is the last one (20th) from the DVD version of the live album "One More Car, One More Rider". The album contains songs performed during Clapton's 2001 World Tour. The recordings on this album are from two nights at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, 18 & 19 August 2001.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Mor...
The beautiful hollow body guitar Eric Clapton is playing is a 1948 Gibson L-5P. In 2011 he put up for auction 70 of his guitars and the proceeds went to the Crossroads Center in Antigua. This rehabilitation center was founded by Eric Clapton in 1998.The auction raised over $2 million and the star of the show was the Gibson that he’s playing in this video. It went for a cool $83,000...

We all should be so very thankful that God spared this man's life and did not allow rejection, drugs and sorrow take him from us early on. What a great musician and ambassador of the blues and a great humanitarian!

I’m dedicating this to my dear brother who passed away 3 weeks ago. I played this in the hospital after his severe stroke 5 years ago when he couldn’t talk. But he sang this song out loud and beautifully. The nurse came in and said how incredible it was. We’d walk around the floor and he’d sing this loud and clear. I also played it while holding his hand when he was leaving this world, 3 weeks ago. Thank you, Mr Clapton for the most beautiful version of this song. I hope my brother heard it.

Eric, you killed it again. One of the top versions of this song along with Gene Vincent's, somewhere over there... up in Heaven. And what an extraordinary band you got together. You never cease to amaze with the freshness of every line you play, and you've never sung better then you do today. Aretha was right you're not white, you have the colour of music, the one that Ray Charles can perceive. With your guitar you paint colors that even the blind can see . God bless you.

ABBA, a group from a couple of generations before me, came out with a new album after 40 years, and they came in second place, the first time theyve ever even had a top 20 album in America; and i was so happy for them! I could not help but see what came in first place, so i youtubed some of her music: As happy as I was for ABBA, so was I heartbroken over the music of this generation found at #1! Shamelessly EVIL! I couldnt believe the filth I was hearing! Music is subconscious programing and if that statement is true: We are in trouble!

We just don't know how lucky we are to enjoy the talents of truly great musicians such as Eric Clapton. We were both blessed and spoiled to experience others such as Les Paul, Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and many others as well over the past 60 odd years. We should be truly thankful for what they gave us in music. We grew up and lived in amazing times. Think about that for a moment.

OK. From a musician's stand point there's a lot you can say about Clapton. High's and Low's of course as we all have had. But one thing he gets that's lacking in some of today's music. He knows how much less is more. When you play the right notes, you don't have to play nearly as many of them and people will listen to you much longer than they will someone constantly trying to impress you with those wonderful (they think) calisthenics they have worked out on the guitar. Some of you will understand perfectly what I just said, others will not. But then, that's the way of the world these days. Everyone has their own reality. And many think theirs is the only reality. And for them, I suppose it is. And I'm sure there are quite a few who don't really like Clapton, but then, a LOT of us do!

Such a beautiful song. Reminds me of a certain restaurant and the beautiful times dancing to this song with someone I use to love.

May I Thank You ALL? The other day I happened to reach the corner store at the very same time an Elderly Gentleman was exiting ~ juggling the door, his purchases, and carefully pocketing the change to his beautifully mended suit pocket. It was easy to hold the door for Him. He looked at me with Soulful Eyes and said..." You! He said, Patting his left breast pocket, he continued in seasoned English, with Soul in His Eyes and Love in His Smile.... "You Touch~Ah My Heart~Ah !" Smiling at One Another, He nodded and made His way out the door as I went in.... OUR Hearts flew over the Rainbow, for in the Beauty of this Song ~ YOU HAVE ALL ~ AS ONE ~ TOUCHED ~ AH...MY...HEART ~ AH.. So Rare And So Very Fine.

@@susanrichard1653 One thing has nothing to do with the other. But I invite you to reflect on the difference between “the voice” and “the singer.” It’s true, Clapton’s voice is not particularly strong. But he is a SUPERB SINGER.

This band could play this song in thousands of way and still entertaining. This one is I guess a more relaxed version of the song. Yet it is still very beautifully played and presented; rich, creative and intensely melodious.

Makes me so happy that he introduced his band mates. Humble. Music at its finest.. sounds amazing and fills the heart. Soak it up while you can.. nothing like this anymore and I'm 25. I'm thankful my parents taught me real music. I was born in the wrong era

This version brings back the most romantic day of my life. Miriam and I shared a drive-through lunch on a rainy day at the amphitheater where the Skagit River bends toward the sea on the outskirts of La Conner. We reminisced the drama of our open water dive in the depths of the San Juan’s that morning. As we made our way back through the Tulip fields, a double rainbow appeared directly in our path. The bright, lower arc completely encircled a ring across the hood of my tiny car-never seen before or since. We held hands briefly, and a couple miles up the road I pulled off at a seafood stand just to cool down. We returned home-she was engaged and I was married with children-and chatted how many motels we passed on our way home. Non existent are 12 yr old girls, swing bands, or Samoan crooner’s that match these 6 artists in embracing the romance of rainbows…..evoking these distant memories of a beautiful woman.
