Fantastic stuff thanks. We were at that concert in row two. Got to the front for the last half dozen songs. I stood right next to him and his guitar stand and as he went off after Layla I asked him for his plectrum. He told me he was still going to need it for the encore. Sure enough he came out and as he put his guitar down for the final time I looked at him and he took the plectrum out of his pocket and handed it to me. As he did about 20 arms shot out around me, but thankfully he made sure I got it. My son was only a youngster at the time but goes every time to see EC now with me and I have given him it with an EC signed photo. Great memories of one of his finest ever concerts. Thanks again for putting it up for us all to listen to.

The solo on this version of Sheriff is simply next level. Clapton at his very very best. It’s what made me pick up the guitar for the first time. It’s what made me buy a proper Blackie. Never looked back. It still gives me goosebumps. People go on about Alchemy Live Sultans of Swing as the best live solo ever - this blows that out of the water in my view.

At last ! ThE 17th feb. show has turned Up!!. I bought a tape from a hippie in Candem in 1991, one month after ThE gig ...And I Would freak out endlessly by ThE way he sings in "Sheriff", among many things....Twenty eight years later, I can listen TO It again ! Thanks a lot !

I actually taped this concert off the radio that v night. And to this day it is still as fresh as paint in its sound. A timeless classic live performance and even better than the album Eric released from one of his 28 nights at the Royal Albert Hall. Everytime I play this concert it transports me to each occasion and location where I was in 1991 as a youthful 20 year old whilst playing this concert.

There's an argument for stating that Clapton was at his absolute peak during the 1990s. Starting with the 24 Nights / RAH shows, Unplugged, From the Cradle... he was simply phenomenal throughout the decade!
