A breath taking collaboration of “Black Magic Woman” featuring two guitar legends!! Special thanks to Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana & Richard Varney. #ericclapton #santana #crossroads #guitar #festival #blackmagicwoman
Santana and Eric Clapton just a killer combination of unique style and sound. This is one hell of a phenomenal concert 🎉🎉. Santana and Eric are 2 iconic guitar players and the sound is indescribably insane the way this sounds,it's freaking amazing and sick how this performance is
You do realize that Black Magic Woman and the Thrill Is Gone have the same chord progression. The same four chords are played exactly the same way. So Eric knows the song well.
I’ve had the privilege of seeing and listening to Peter Green, who wrote this song, amazingly supporting John Mayall, in Halifax Victoria Theatre, England, Carlos Santana at the Manchester Apollo and Eric Clapton at the Manchester Arena, where I also saw BB King on the same bill as Gary Moore, that’s some guitar talent !
Both of them still have the stuff that made them in the first place. I am so happy to see Carlos and Eric !!!! Sing it Eric. Carlos keep on your playing your music ❤😊 All of Carlos music brings back so many many memories for me. You can instantly hear the music from Carlos, he is poignant and unique. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Indeed! Actually, Clapton released his own version of this song on the 2021 album "Lady In the Balcony," which is an unplugged live performance. Clapton says at the intro "This one's for Peter." I play it on my station.
@SophieBelleClaptonFrom 70 is last century, when I was high school girl.I saw his concert (80 is) ,when he was in Belgrade -it wasn t good organised, small Hall for so many people,he played alone.I was on the first raw in front of the stage and was afraid in case come pushing forwards... I used to live in London,(knew Fleent who knows Eric )and heard nice story about him. He has something (enough to be star) and each song performed by him is predestiniert to succes. He understand evrething without saying anything. Now he is very proud of his family as before he was proud of his carriera. You are so lovely girl !
Rock Royalty!!! Soaring guitars. Eric makes it look so simple, so effortless. And Carlos, what can I say. He takes you on a roller coaster ride. Bravo! Nice to hear this song as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Viva la raza!
@@SophieBelleClapton I have been listening to Eric Clapton for many years!! I love it like Carlos Santana himiself. Are you Eric daughter?? That honor 😊
Original version written by Peter Green while in Fleetwood Mac w/ the arrangement & feel based on the Beano version of All My Love (which featured Eric Clapton on guitar); Santana didn't seem interested in engaging Clapton in some guitar interplay, only looked his way to point out he missed his cue to start singing the final verse (backup singer took the bull by the horns).
2:20 BMW is a direct ripoff of “TheSuper Natural” which is Peter Green l’s playing on the Hard Road album with John Mayall. Credit to young Carlos for stealing good stuff.
As a guitarist I first copied Santana version and when I know about the original, I picked Peter Green's playing. My honest opinion.. Carlos did his homework on Peter Green style, especially minor phrasing.Carlos Santana " Peter Green's Supernatural gave me a musical direction"
