Remember Eric Cooper balling with us at Rancho Cienega Park back in the Day and he was so smooth but what i remember about Joey Johnson was that Tip Dunk in City Basketball Championship game at Los Angeles Sports Arena against Crenshaw High. Joey Johnson got rebound with time running out and dribbles for long shot be he misses but runs and jump over Gary Malonson, Paul Weekly, Dion Brown and Stevie Thompson so dammm high then slammDunking ball over entire team.. The whole Arena went silent 🤫 then you heard Awwwww in amazement of what happened .. i still remember that Jummpin Joe Johnson play

people always say damn dude had hops for back in the day, but it wasn't uncommon. what was uncommon were scenarios where those old school white coaches knew how to utilize a player 6'2" or under who could play above the rim. they'd always stick these guys at a forward position and let some sad flat footed guy run the guard. meanwhile you've got an undersized guy in constant foul trouble because he's guarding huge guys and on offense has no room to work
hammertime Small Fowards at Varsity are 6ft 5ish. Unless a small school. I knew a center for a very small highschool that was 6ft 0 and 250 lbs. That school grew some and there centers are taller now.
