Gilbert needs to learn more about the Big 3 era in Miami. One of the big points of contention was that the team was practicing too often and too hard throughout the regular season. Lebron and the older players didn't wanna overwork themselves, but Spo had the stamp from Pat. Lebron really tried to get Spo fired, but Pat wasn't having it. TLDR: Heat Culture is more than conditioning. It's holding your team to the highest standard regardless of the talent level. Always compete, no matter who you have on the team.

The problem with Gil is he doesn’t want credit going to the Heat because it’s shows how much Lebron going to Miami helped his career. Heat lifer here Spo and, that coaching staff unlocked a level in Lebron that was and never will be seen again…Some say say his all time peak was the Heat years on both sides of the ball. Great organization doing things the right way at all times. Playing for each other and not for self was something Lebron had to learn to be a champion. Heat culture for you bruh we hear every year making noise with or without Lebron! I will be in Philly as always 2/14 with the wife representing as always Let’s Go Heat!

So you think lebron would just never develop his game past the age of 25 if it weren’t for a rookie Erik Spo?🤣🤣that’s so fucking disrespectful to lebron it’s wild how people go any lengths and I try to discredit his career. Most 25 year old players can still have the potential to improve, especially when that player has the talent that lebron does. Lebron is the reason he was that good, otherwise why hasn’t Spo coached up and created another lebron already? Since that HEAT CULTURE is all that they need lol
@kreeleake169

It’s funny because he never one any chips until he made it to Miami. Lebron whole career changed by coming to Miami under the tutelage of Spo, Riley the coaching staffs and D-wade…He could get it done in Cleveland he had to come be apart of Heat culture to take his game to another level. Don’t forget we win the chip in 2006 without Lebron! Heat Culture! Lol 😂

Riley is better at making teams than coaching them because he doesn't have the patience to push these young guys with all their flaws and sloppiness to peak form like Spo, that's Spo's unique talent that no other coach in NBA history does as well as him. Riley is still a championship level coach but Spo is like a coaching diety the way he turns bums into playoff performers and I say that with thanks as a Heat fan because that shit has repeatedly bailed us out of looking very goofy.

When Pat came to Miami he put together a formable team,, Zo, Hardaway, Brown, Dan Majerle etc. . The New York Knicks with players like Patrick Ewing, John Starks, Charles Oakley, and Anthony Mason etc. were the Heat's kryptonite. A Knicks team that largely consisted of Riley's former players and philosophy of play. When the Heat made it to the Eastern Conference finals they met Michael Jordan and the Bulls who also beat the Heat once in the playoffs before. Bottom line the Heat did not loose to chumps. Jordan's Bulls also reigned supreme for a number of those years. No matter who played against the Bulls during that time, outside Jordan's brief retirement, they lost. Pat saw the East as a half court, slug it out, physical conference and coached and/or put together the Knicks and Heat squads with this in mind, considering his personell. The Lakers style of play Riley thought best typified the West. Riley put his imprint on all three squads and was able to change his ideas, depending on what he thought worked best and the players available.

Nah those Pat coached heat teams were very competitive in the 90s same with the Knicks. In 97 man won coach of the year with the Heat. Those Knicks teams lead by Pat were a top contender in the east. Now Spolelstra is taking the heat to a next level one of the best coaches ever.

Shaq said personally that he wouldn’t have come there if it wasn’t for pat , secondly SPO coaches like Pat he’s been there since day one. Also the difference between the Knick and the heat was that Pat was not GM and head coach. In Miami he has all the power. From that position he realized that he’s a better GM than coach. Riley assembled all three of Mia’s attempts of a super team. He also started the start culture there. He stop focusing on building team fully through the draft and focused on selling Miami and winning to big stars. Remember before pat Miami had only made the playoffs twice in their entire history

Gill sounds like that guy that likes to knock down stuff he's never been a part of. That guy that likes to take people's flowers away. You know kind of like a sore loser. And he loves talking s*** about heat culture. It's really simple. It's about the spirit of perseverance, accountability, discipline, integrity, about work ethic, about not complaining or blaming, about team basketball. The funny thing is is those are all principles grown men should live by but it is a fact and many can attest to it that Miami definitely has their own culture. Many have admitted they would not have been able to play there. Many have said hell no I don't want to play there over that exact reason. So why does Gil always do this when it comes to Miami Heat culture? When we have a lot of different pros that agree. Because he is the hot take NBA King. That's why.
