Bravo bravo bravo: finalmente qualcuno che testa la chitarra davvero e ci fa sentire come suona senza fare 1 miliardo di note al secondo con gain a manetta!
@neo69hk yeah the firewire is better since has more speed and a bigger bus for your audio data...the final result its the same if you can tweak them properly..if you need to plug more instruments at once go for the firewire
@Bugrasisman yes it takes 4 months to them to build one but when it arrives to you its the best thing you can play with..basically they make the guitar expecially for you i felt honored ahah
@MrPapaHetfield ive ordered it from Italy directly in the factory it was made expecially for me like all the new MM guitars i had to wait more then 6 months to receive it
@Bugrasisman nope i havent tested them..but for what i know its the same guitar with some tweaks in the ends it sounds basically the same..even the bfr sounds 90%(it has some more resonance and some more body) the same but it costs twice as the standard
on the movie you posted above I can see it stays on the spot if you want, once you loose it. There is no screw to tighten it?, maybe you know a bit more about then me?
Is there a way to tighten the tremolo arm in this JP6? I bought the same last week, but the arm is loose. I always have to fish it up, despite the fact it is clicked well into the block.. or is this normal? Thanks.
Great sound men! Do you think an acoustic preamp (like LR Baggs for example), would be a good choice if you wanna have a better acoustic sound? I think the piezo itself sounds incredible, but maybe an acoustic preamp would better?
Yeah I found that into your average electric amp it doesn't sound too hot (I don't have one but I'm in the market for one and played several at Guitar Center). However it would seem you CAN get surprisingly sweet acoustic tones out of higher end amps. I played it through a 20th Anniversary Bogner Ecstasy and it sounded divine with the piezo.
@DragoArcobaleno7 il piezo sta settato neutro tutti i selettori a metà qui è diretto nella scheda audio..ho una testata mashall JCM 2000 DSL da 100W e una cassa markguitar 2x12 coi V30
@Darkvinx88 I told them to get JP6 and they said I have to wait 3-4 months. Still waiting for my guitar. I am sure it takes much more time, if i ask them to send you some free stuff :)
hey man i just bought few days ago a jpxii with piezo and i cant get good acoustic sound from the piezo can you help me or something? what was your eq and do you connecting the piezo to the sound card or to amp? im connecting the piezo to and electric guitar amp and its sounds sux
@toniomegghie grazie :D questo è il piezo simula una chitarra acustica anzi non simula "converte" la chitarra elettrica in acustica :) se ti va metti mi piace al mio studio di registrazione il link sta nella descrizione del video
hey i have the onboard EQ all at noon..the piezo signal must go directly into the sound card or into an acoustic amp,it will sound like shit into a normal electric guitar amp
maybe..but the real acoustic sound is from the woods of a real acoustic guitar..it will not sound more rich then this..i love it and its great for live performances but in studio it will not replace a real acoustic recorded with 2 microphones
not really..because the cab of an electric amp is not transparent..it adds his own eq curve specific for every guitar speaker...what you need is a PA speaker(speakers keyboardist use live or studio monitors) which is teorically transparent and with flat response..its all about the cab for acustic sounds.
Are the JP6's the only models with Piezo? I see it in the descriptions of the BFR, 13, or Majesty models, but I've heard that the JP6's can only use it
Sounds great, not sure I like the use of the whammy bar. But the chords(your playing), the guitar and amp sound amazing together. I am thinking about picking up a used EBMM this one: www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/music-man-john-petrucci-6-electric-guitar-w-piezo-bridge/518582000001002 The guy wants 1,300 cash on craigslist. I heard there was some issues with the Piezo Bridges a few years ago. However the last few years the issue has been fixed. And there are no more problems. Do you need a acoustic amp to get the sounds you just played? I have a EVH 5153 50w head and a 2x12 cab. Plus I have a line 6 120w Spider iv amp. I usually use Amplitube 3 on my iMac 90% of the time though. I think I could get some good acoustic sound from that program.
Tommy Armour hey thanks no,you dont need an acustic amp..in this demo im running the piezo signal directly into the soundcard and all you hear are effects applied on pc..it doesnt sound good in an electric guitar amp since the cabinet its not flat and colors the sound..you have the send the piezo signal to the PA or use some active keyboardist speakers ive paid mine 2500 euros 4 years ago
Vincenzo Avallone Hey thanks for the quick reply. I bought mine yesterday. I'm really excited about putting some time into it. I have the instruction sheet, but figured I would ask how you run your cords. I can see you are using just a single cord to your pc. So in order for the piezo to work you use the mono plug at the end of the guitar right? I assume when a person uses both plugs, they run the stereo(magnetic) side to a amp, and the mono to a seperate acoustic amp. Or in our case to our pc's. I use Amplitube 3 on my iMac for most my recording. Cleans, crunch, metal, pretty much everything. With the piezo, I'll probably horse around and plug in my Line 6 for metal, and plug the mono into the computer for the instant cleans of the piezo. Then if you just want to use it like a normal guitar without piezo, you flip the top switch all the way down that is the magnetic mode, make sure the 1/4" plug is plugging into the Stereo(manegtic) at the end of the guitar, And just use the bottom selector switch like normal. Top neck/middle(both/ bottom bridge.I think by typing this to you I just figured it out. IF there is anything else you would care to share, I would love to hear it. Might take me a few hours but it eventually sinks in. LOL
Tommy Armour hi yes,you can use 2 mono cables and send one to track 1(amplitube metal patch etc) and the other on track 2 piezo with effects etc..so you just record 2 tracks a time with 2 mono cables..you can also use a stereo cable but its more for live use and you would need some sort of splitter to send the magnetic to the amp and teh piezo to the acoustic amp..so just plug 2 mono cables in your pc one on track 1 and the other on track 2 and you just flip the switch to go from one to the other..easy and effective
Vincenzo Avallone Thanks man, I have the metal pack, and tons of artist presets on amplitube 3.. I go to amplitube 3, complete rigs, clean and there are a lot of choices I use for the piezo. My goal is to just pick up a nice acoustic amp, and use two chords, one for Mono out Piezo from the guitar to the Acoustic amp, and the other chord going from the Stereo Magnetic output on the guitar to amplitube 3. I have never tried to connect two cables to my pc. I use a adapter from the game Rocksmith. Goes from 1/4" to usb. I'm sure I could get some type of splitter. But I'll have to do my research. Thanks for all the info.
Tommy Armour i suggest you to get a usb audio card like a m-audio fastrack pro or something similar since ith 2 inputs at the same time latency will rise too so you need a proper audio card
Vincenzo Avallone hi waves gtr 3 is sa effect processor right? what i mean is what combination effects did you use? did you use chorus flanger delay etc? thanks for your help
