As it pertains to the leaders of pregame/postgame commentary, there is no one greater than Ernie. 1000% deserving. So grateful to EJ and the whole crew (Chuck, Shaq, and Kenny) for being an integral part of my sports watching life for literal decades now.

I was at breakfast with some guys I knew and one said, “Save a seat, a friend of mine is going to join us.” A few minutes later I felt a hand on my shoulder and a “How are you doing, do you mind if I sit here?” and it was Ernie. He was humble, engaged in our conversations, adding his own insight and wisdom and it was just the best. It wasn’t like breakfast with a celebrity, it was breakfast with a guy you could easily want to be friends with regardless of his notoriety. He’s the real deal snd I’m thrilled for him. I never saw him again, but it was a highlight for me.
