I honestly think ERRA is like one of the best of this era (no pun intended). With the awesome guitars, smashing drums, smooth bass, aggressive screams, chilling cleans, and intricate lyrical concepts really bring out a lot of character, i hope these guys make it to new heights :D

exactly dude. I think they are the epitome of an entire genre. this is the absolute best music in this genre, period. its so creative and technical yet somehow it flows together so well and ends up so melodic.

I acutally asked Jesse personally and said that himself and Alan don´t know much theory at all, his self learned and earned his creativity by writing owns stuff, and playing covers from other bands in this genre, simply progressed by taking up stuff from other bands and eventually evolved something even more awesome.. Erra

This - there is something magical about thier songs, it is more than music it seems and I say this because I feel it but I also think that I see comments like this so often about older ERRA songs and this type of thinking is never expressed for other bands. These guys are one of a kind, truly something magical and I feel super lucky that I am able to listen to this music. On a great set of speakers or headphones it is awe inspiring!

Don't we all? They sold out and that's why Adam (bassist).. Alan (guitarist) and garrison walked.. if they'd stuck to the style of impulse or augment they'd be huge

+SimqleHD I think you're way off with your comment. Adam wanted to focus on his real passion which was a sport. Garrison was offered a good job through a family member.

I bought Impulse in February of 2012 and even after listening to it incessantly for over a year, I still get so excited. This song is one of the best opening songs on a record I have ever heard.

that drummer is a madman. I think these guys are great musicians. Thier arrangements are very tough. It usually takes me like two weeks to learn an erra song because there is so much change. These guys are brilliant and yes very talented.

Alan Rigdon was main signature sound of erra, without him the new erra doesn't sounds like erra only Jesse's cleans reminds us of that old erra but Alan's band "The Artificials" sounds like old erra.

ERRA are in overall a fantastic band, I just wish they'd stuck to the style of Impulse and Augment though, I find the new album really hard to get into, and I loved these guys the first 2 albums

SimqleHD Hard to stay the same when 60% of the influence is gone. You can tell Alan was the one who wrote the Misery Signals type riffs. Crimson is a great example.

Sometimes it's better that this kind of stuff remains this underground... the great music industry will not reach them, and their music will always be whatever they want to do. Although I'm saying this, I don't feel that need to tell the world that what I listen to is better or worse than other musical stiles. I just listen, share with people that can possibly like and wear the t-shirts. And since there are so many reasons that can break a band, I hope they get to the public they want to reach.

New ERRA isn't terrible but goddamn, it has just never been the same since Garrison and Alan left. Really shows you how much they contributed to the sound and style. Like i said, there's some stuff in the newer albums that's pretty cool too, but a lot of it just sounds lackluster and mediocre compared to Impulse, Augment, and the original EPs

Although I’m no too fond of the clean vocals, because they don’t suite this music id have to say one of the best and talented bands in the genre absolutely love the technical and melodic guitars and overall music. certainly a band that sticks out in the metalcore scene

Most all of Erra's songs have the cleans at varying levels. But if you want more of just those singularly, the singer Jesse Cash has a side project called Ghost Atlas. It's got kind of a Circa Survive feel if you're into that.
