To deny the accounts of Jesus you would have to deny truths about any historical figure because Jesus was most well documented. But just so you know christians believe in speciation and adaptation. So in a nutshell (and please don’t be overly critical of this example) a lion can become a leopard, and a leopard can become a cougar and a cougar a housecat (speciation) and a leopard that lives in the mountains could become a snow leopard and have a get a white coat (adaptation), but christians don’t believe that a dog could become a cat or a fish could become a bird. We are also awestruck at the world. And think it’s just as ridiculous to think that this world could have come from nothing. It's like errors in a twilight book, its irrelevant if there are errors in a fictional book, the bible is simply just fiction , anyone with more than half a brain could realise that. Those words are an exact quote from Psalms 22 which was written a thousand years before Jesus and tells everything that would happen on the cross. Jesus was teaching that we need to read to old testament to understand what happens. Believe me if Jesus did not want to die there he would have had no problem getting off the cross, but he had to for us. Peace

Its just blockchain. Relying on 1 original record is less secure than relying on multiple records to maintain the first.

just listen to what he said. It makes sense. If there was just the oeiginal, then the original could have many interpolations or removal of words. As a result, it would be less reliable. But if u got multiple copies of the original, CRAAP test can be applied and if one person alters the text, it can be easily identified

@@stevedoetsch The blockchain analogy just flat out doesn't work. Pulling transactions out randomly or adding in some means it simply doesn't work. Having copies might mean you can piece together simple mistakes, but it cannot tell you if whole sections were removed or made up from the original.

But if someone have the original it doesnt matter how error the copies that person can say "ive the original" instead of "ive copy II" which can be wrong too. Preserving the original is so much better. I think Frank is made mistake

I could be wrong, but I think the story of the great flood is a perfect example of this. Why would he apologize, making a covenant w/ us, and promise to never do it again?

Saying theres no truth is literally saying its depiction of historical events or its moral compass is dead wrong unless it comes from google or wikipedia. Everything is written by man and inspired by The God who saves. The prophecies were spoken before it was written. Truth is there's a lot in this world we wouldn't know, hear of, or understand w/ the writings and interpretations of man.

Jonas Sandoy if what you are saying is true which I doubt as I read the Bible everyday of the week, and nowhere do I read of God making any failures, and if what you state is the case then that makes you and every human being failures & the planet we live on as well, but who are we to judge the creator of the heavens and the earth and all that dwells upon it, when God created all things and placed man as the ruler over his creation, man was made perfect ie righteous, holy, and who loved God and obeyed him. God also endued man with a perfect will, but man through the suggestion of Satan, disobey Gods direct command not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Therefore deciding for himself what was right & wrong, good or evil. Now man has still a free will but that will can not choose God, but is inclined to all evil. So God did not fail in anyway, it was man who failed & brought sin and misery into this world upon the pain of death ie Gods judgment on sin both temporal & eternal.

Jonas Sandoy I’m sorry to inform you that Christianity has not failed nor has the truth of God’s holy word, for God himself has preserved it for time and eternity, for when you read of the hundreds of Christians being persecuted & murdered all over the world for there faith more than any other religion, it begs the question why are they willing to be put to death instead of renouncing the faith. My answer is that the gift of faith granted to them by God to believe means more to them than all of the worlds possessions and false teachings, so you would do well my friend to give heed to what the Bible really teaches instead of making rash nonsensical statements, plus the Bible also speaks of The unpardonable sin, which is contributing the works of the devil to the Holy Spirit. Therefore I suggest you look on U tube for Dr Ravi Zechariah of RZIM and you’ll find where he is more educated that I would be to answer questions from atheist like yourself. Plus I believe the Bible to be Gods Infallible truth & everything it teaches no matter what yourself or anyone else thinks or try’s to convince me other wise. Fact.

Plus there is historical proof of the flood, the crucifixion of Jesus, the exodus, the destruction of sodom & Gomorrah, and many many more prophesies spoken of in scripture which have come to pass, and some which are being fulfilled in these last days.
