Andorra is one of the bigger micro states of Europe, located in the mountains of Pyrenees, between Spain and France. About 500 square kilometers and about 80.000 inhabitants. Nice ski resorts. The capital is named Andorra la Vella. Their main language is Catalan, and it’s a very old country, independent since about the 1200’s if I remember right! Well worth a visit, I’d say. Sadly their efforts in the ESC never gave them a place in the final, so they dropped out of the ESC after about 6-7 attempts. Would love them to come back, because their singing language is so nice to listen to. Nice reaction, btw!
Poor Andorra. The only country to never be in the grand final. If they had sent this song one year later, when the two semi-final system started, they would have qualified, I’m sure. I used to listen to this type of music all the time when I was a teenager and it’s cool to see a song like this in Eurovision because Eurovision should be for all types of music.

Andorra is a little country between Spain and France. The song is sung in catalán, a language from Catalonia - they want to be independent from Spain - . There's a lot of spanish celebrities that live in Andorra to avoid paying taxes in Spain.
So Andorra is the only country in Eurovision history to never appear in a Eurovision final (never qualified) and this is the best song they sent by far and it's considered a huge robbery and that they deserved to qualify that year but they didn't Btw Andorra is a tiny country sandwiched in between France and Spain :)
Pop punk in Eurovision? That's unusual. Lead vocals were flat sometimes, but the backing vocals sounded really strong and it looked like the boys had a good time on-stage. I think this is the best result Andorra ever got. I hope they come back stronger someday.
Yes. Were on of the big favorites that night and considering Andorra is a small country it was okay it got 12th. Also, there was 28 countries competing.

I'm glad you mentioned that the song reminds people of Busted, because I thought the exact same thing. It reminds me of the pop-rock bands that were famous during the late 1990s to the mid-2000s. I thought the song was quite good but back then when there was only one semi final, qualifying was a miracle.

It’s a really fun song, but I’m sure that it’s from Andorra has a lot to do with the fact that a lot of people including me like it. If this were an entry from like the UK or something I doubt as many people would like this.

Andorra is a microstate between France and Spain. They're the only country that's ever participated in Eurovision that never made it to the final, this is their highest place which came 12th in the semi. The last time they participated was in 2009.
Well i believe back in early 2000's Eurovision firstly was not so popular, because it still was internal European mostly show song contest, secondary if it was only a semi-final, even in 2018, when its a semi, most of the venues are still half empty. That was Catalan, not French. Last time you said the same about Luxembourg, that you couldn't find it on a map. Yeah, these countries are small. I believe this is the best result of Andorra in Eurovision. I wish they qualified this year. Maybe that would have made them stay. Nowadays we have only one microstate, San Marino.
Dude, you know you can search for things on the internet, right? Andorra is in there, I promise! :-) That having said, I think this is the only entry of Andorra that would have deserved to qualify for the finals. They sound like the Catalan version of Green Day to me.

Awww poor Andorra, they nearly did it, with very few allies to help them. In a semi of 27 they placed 12, would’ve definitely qualified with two semis.
Eurovision first had semifinals in 2004, and up to 2007 only one semifinal. And in the early years the semifinals wasn't that interesting for the fans or others, so that's why the empty seats are there.
I don't remember this song (or any song for that matter) from Andorra.. But, seriously, we need countries like Andorra, Bosnia & Turkey back to enrich competition with diverse entries. We don't need San Marino that much 😂

But in 2007 it was also organizers' fault because they sold ticket packages to companies that gave tickets to employees or customers (and as you can see from the empty audience, they failed by doing this). Many fans failed to get tickets because of this.
I seriously had to pause the video in the middle of the song because i just get exhausted by watching this whole performance.. Too messy and and too much going on to fast in just one entry..
