I did a set of wheels for a customer on his Escalade to get away from the chrome 22's". He was more into the offroad look. He didn't want to spend much money but I did end up finding the DX4 7S wheels for him. Multiple offsets and color options in the 6-139.7 bolt pattern. I believe they are only 20 lbs/each in a 17x8.5. Saved him roughly 31 lbs./wheel alone in unsprung weight. Just my $0.02 worth of gearhead.

Center lone wheels have a wheel that’ll hold up the weight of the Escalade with no issues of having to change them often and also fuel has a wheel that is made for SUV’s and trucks and are lightweight

Appreciate the step by step dyno numbers, love the content. Have you concidered doing 0-60 times along with the mods showing the improvements similar to the dyno #s?

Ice the port-a-cool! If your concerned about ice chips eating the pump then you can rig up a kind of "intercooler". Use a heater core (usually works best because of fitting size) between the pump and the cooling grates. Have the heater core in a tub of ice water. It will chill the incoming water thus cooling forward air temps by 5 to 10 degrees!

I really like the technical information on this channel, coming from one of the best (at least) tuners in the US!

Did you reprogram the transmission? Is there anything to gain in acceleration and or fuel efficiency in the transmission shift/hold program? Edit: I missed the part where you talked about the trans. My bad.

Get some smaller, lighter, forged wheels. Saw some NICE 20" Welds that would look bad ass on the Escalade. I went from 20" 2010 camaro rims (HEAVY) on my daily driver, mildly modded G8 GT, to lighter Factory forged CTSV 19" rims....noticed a very noticeable response when accelerating.

500 hp all motor. Not to shabby brother.

If you can't find light weight wheels you can get a carbon fiber driveshaft built for it. The Driveshaft Shop makes custom one piece carbon driveshafts.

gotta love that Florida heat! I lived in central Florida (Lakeland) most of my life. I don't miss that heat.

If it were me when it comes to the wheels, I would look for a set of the 17 inch police package Tahoe wheels. They are wide enough to put a nice set of radials/slicks on it and it's still big enough to clear the brakes. Plus they are definitely alot lighter than the factory 22 inch wheels you have now.

You were talking about shaving weight. How about carbon fiber or fiberglass for as much of the sheet metal as possible? I was thinking the hood, doors and front quarter panels would PROBABLY be the "cheapest" to do and you could likely save around 100 lbs. Ultra light wheels are nice _IF_ you don't live in an State where there are more potholes than paved surface.

I would love to see what power a cam, ported heads, and lt1 ported throttle body. On my 14 Silverado 5.3 with a Magnuson TVS2300 on it.

I'd say a set of weld rims, take off all the sound deadening material and possibly gut the interior. What brand blower are you going to use?

I lost 80 lb by taking off my spare tire and the assembly that ratchets it up into place on my 94 Chevy C1500. Do you have a towing package you would want to remove? make or buy fiberglass or carbon fiber hood and fenders. And then there's parasitic drag like the rims you mentioned and what about the drive line? Any accessory police on the front of the engine maybe convert 2 aluminum if they're not already

Tony NorCal will have wheels u need. You can find him thru fb he has fastest Escalade there is. He also makes parts for numerous gm vehicles and works with many manufacturers to have wheels made to fit gm suvs

Put Carbon fiber driveshaft on it to reduce rotational mass instead of just vehicle mass. Nice setup, waiting impatiently for the blower to go on.

Its going to make somewhere between 650-680hp with that setup.

Call Billet Specialties or forgeline theres a couple others I can't think of right now but if you call billet specialties ask for Alex Taylor the young lady from drag week she knows her stuff so she should be able to help and when you going to start project angry neighbor to race Cleetus? I have a few suggestions I think for motor wise I think its only fair to go LT4 from a ZL1 or a blown LS7 from a Z28 or blown LS3 from an SS or of course the LSA from a 5th gen ZL1 but for the blower I think it's only fitting to go with either a big Whipple or a big Kenne Bell and the car should be one of them newer Chevy SS or something like that and instead of all white or black have the body black and the doors white lol and get some nice Welds or Billet Specialties wheels for it and if you go with 4:10 gears I would go with a 29x10.5 tire but if you go 3:73 gears then do 28x10.5 drag radials and instead of manual do a powerglide or th400 with a Chevy big 12 bolt rear

Maybe you can solve a mystery for me... One night I was driving my 924 (single cam) and the timing belt stripped some teeth. You would think that this would be the end, valves bent etc,.. not the case. For some reason, and I cannot replicate this, my car had a tooooon of power that night,.. like I tap the gas and it would burn rubber. If you could help me figure out what happened and maybe incorporate this into a tune, I would really appreciate figuring out this mystery.

I had a rental Escalade last year and the trans programming left lots to be desired.

Ditch the 22” wheels for some 20” and definitely save some weight there. Surely Weld makes some 20”s.
