Staubschutzmasken yea it's crazy I was 8 years old listening to this I'm in to total different things I listen to trap but it's cool to be a rockstar now Adays so escape the fate will always be the rockstar side of me
I feel the same, i used to listen to this band when i was 15 years old now im 24 but sometimes i listen to them because i really love old days.. incredible how fast time flies.
just imagine teens finding this music for the first time? I bet they wish more than anything they could have been there. Emo was fucking sad and great at the same time.
Seeing a comment from an account named alesana with frank Palmeri as the profile picture on an escape the fate video literally rolls my high school years a decade ago into a ball of nostalgia
@@redhood720noscope8 yes but they aren’t nearly as heavy. Ronnie just barely utilizes his skills when it it comes to screams. If you watch his live shows you can see how talented he is when it comes to the lows. I’m not some metal elitists but I do appreciate a good balance.
+HostShots Well, if you just look at the lyrics, you can clearly see it's about Halo. "We've spawned to fight in the darkest hour" "We won't back down, the weak won't survive" "We've reached the covenant" "Spartans stand alone"
32 in June. Fell in love with this album when I was 16 in 2008. As a black kid from NY who loved just rap and r&b, this album along with Mayday Parade’s A Lesson In Romantics changed my life lol. Album will FOREVER slap! lol
I always thought this was one of the hardest breakdowns I’ve ever heard in ANY genre of music. The whole song leads up to this absolutely beautiful breakdown with great screams and it sounds completely different from the song
Here I am almost 30yr olds and remember going to their concert when I was 18 and wracking the mosh pit! Good ol days forsure! Always will live inside us!
This Album Literally Helped During A Difficult Time. I Used To Not Like Emo Bands, But Once I Heard DIYLF Holy Fuckin Shit I Was Mind Blowed. I've Heard Some ETF Songs When I Was Younger, But I Never Fully Got Into Them. But Damn, This Album Will Always Be A Huge Part Of Me.
So lock and load mercenaries I see the smoke from the hilltop They march one by one The battled starts, adversaries We bathe in our blood The worst is yet to come We've reached the covenant To kill what we have started Kill the machines We've spawned to fight in the darkest hour They really need to know We really gotta go (We fight to live, we fight for pride) they really need to know (We won't back down the weak won't survive) we really gotta go We stay here tonight (don't let them find us or we're dead) Promise me you won't leave my side (the warmest place to lie my head) And when the sun comes up we fight (don't let them find us or we're dead) So promise me you won't leave my side Trace the blood back to the grave The smoke has cleared Thousands are destroyed They send signals no salvation We fight in lock out Scope is ready to go Armed with explosives Spartans stand alone They really need to know We really gotta go (We fight to live, we fight for pride) they really need to know (We won't back down the weak won't survive) we really gotta go We stay here tonight (don't let them find us or we're dead) Promise me you won't leave my side (the warmest place to lie my head) And when the sun comes up we fight (don't let them find us or we're dead) So promise me you won't leave my side We stay here tonight (don't let them find us or we're dead) Promise me you won't leave my side (the warmest place to lie my head) And when the sun comes up we fight (don't let them find us or we're dead) So promise me you won't leave my side Charge the gates with rust on their horns They seek destruction and kill the functions Charge the gates with rust on their horns They seek destruction and kill the functions Charge the gates with rust on their horns They seek destruction and kill the functions Charge the gates with rust on their horns
Etf I've been listening to your 1st album for more than 10 years thanks Robert, Max, Omar, Micheal and Ronnie this is my first favorite album ever you guys are who inspired to play music never forget about you guys
I would give anything to be able to see them in concert during this era. I was nine when this album came out, I’m 25 now and it never gets old ❤️ Forever my favorite Album

@@gisellegarcia4312 Google lyrics got a lyric wrong, instead of "Trace the blood back to the grave" he actually says, "Trace the blood back down the grave"
I love how the comment section is just everyone saying they're old now. Btw I'm 37 and I'm old now. Married with a mortgage but still an emo kid at heart
i like reading people’s nostalgic comments. reminds me of all the moments i had listening to music that ties to specific moments in time. we’re getting old lol.
Man, so many memories. My family vacation to New Zealand, driving through the forests there listening to this thinking that I was deep down a werewolf because me and my friend group (and everyone my age) was obsessed with Twilight, despite how bad it was.
@@MadHattress bruh, I used to sit at my window at like 4am hoping to see a topless figure appear from the forest opposite my house, beckon me down and tell me that I was a werewolf and apart of his pack
I remember this was one of my fave songs back like 11-12 years ago.. i was on msn with my buddy yannick who passed away this year:(, we would be on the webcam with 2 girls and i would blast this song and we would laugh so hard😂😂 goof old times man memorys stay forever love you Yannick my Dawg 😘 ly4l
Im 15, i wonder if in 10 yeard ill be coming back and looking at this video with as much extreme nostalgia as everyone else here is, i think i will ive love this whole album for around 4 or 5 years now
I remember working at Meyers Park Country Club as a Sophomore in high school and listening to this song for the first time in the ball picker. At that point in my life the only thing I had on my mind was becoming a Marine. Hard to believe that was 16 years ago. The choices we make lead to outcomes we’d never dream of. Cheers to getting older
I was late too bro. The first metal song I ever even heard was raised by wolves. But I probably had all these songs memorized for both bands by 2012 when I graduated.
I've not stopped thinking about this song ever since I heard it which was when they released it in 2006, gonna be 26 April 3rd, I get goosebumps missing and thinking about how simple/fun it was not having adult responsibilities. ~Time to listen to the next song "Reverse This Curse" Good day wonderful persons.
Is it bad I listened to No Sympathy and Situations when this came out, but never heard the rest of the album until a few weeks ago, and am still in love with this band??
I've been listening to them since i can remember...i remember before Ronnie left oml 🤣 I'm almost 19, ik that's nothing but it shows how i was raised...my family did me right!
