I would have no hesitation in choosing the third house. Views of the ocean which is only a few minutes away. Airy, light, and space in the attic for the Batman collection. AND astonishingly inexpensive. Lot of money left over. I'd love to live there for me but for the dogs too. I'd love walking while they're running. Paradise.
I enjoyed watching this episode. Lovely host and lovely couple. Hard decisions no doubt, but do hope they are happy where they choose to live. It's great they want to be close to their son.
House 1 is strange. All gsrden to the front, and it would seem to have no windows in the back at all. The kitchen is lovely, but no window in that area at all. With a garden in the back, and windows overlooking it, the house would be about perfect. House number 2 is very much what I like. Dining room separate from the kitchen, and a kitchrn that is well laid out and easy to work in. The loft room is really lovely. I would be tempted to extend the wall above each window upstairs to form gable end dormers to extend head height and add light to that space. The dormers are already there, but useless as is. It woild take a bit of work, but is not structurally difficult. House 3 is a neat idea. Personally, i would prefer the ground floor rooms reversed. I would sooner have the conservatory bay in the living room that is big enough to have a dining room that is not part of the kitchen. The bedtooms are lovely. I think house 2 would suit me best.
