escovitch pickle
Chopped bell peppers
Chopped onions
Chopped carrots
Chopped garlic
Chopped scotch bonnet pepper
10 Pimento seeds/all spice
1 cup vinegar
1 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 medium size red snapper
2 tbsp green seasoning
1 tbsp fish seasoning
1 tbsp old bay seasoning
1 tsp all purpose seasoning
1/2 tsp black pepper
flour for frying

This is a beautiful recipe. I loved the way you are always so detailed in cleaning fishes. Yes, truly Guyanaese/ West Indiana people way of cleaning fishes. The preparation is phenomenal. 💯🇬🇾🙏👍🏽❤

I made this tonight and it was fantastic, the green sauce definitely took it up another notch. Thank you Candy for sharing your expertise. I'm in England so couldn't get fresh snapper so used fresh Gilt Head Bream which were also really good.

You're just amazing. I just love the step by step details,the washing n seasoning of the fish the vegetables. Wonderfully done Candy. One thing I must mention my husband wash all fish n meat with lemon n flour not vinegar. As u say we can do it the way we liked. Thanks for this recipe.

Hey Candy Girl do you have any Trini family lol yr fish looks soooo goos I grew up fish cause my dad was a fisherman not anymore he relaxes these days at 82 yrs. I had this kind of fish once from my ex sister who is Jamaican and it was delicious . Hey Candy watchin u prepare this fish is makin me hungry. When u place the first fish in the oil I was thinkin if ur goin to place the 2nd one the opp & u did.. I dislike cleanin fish, but its something I must do to my standard. Does ur kids eat the majority of Guyanese foods?

I hate cleaning fish too most times I let the ppl at the market clean it so I don't have to do much when I get home. And yes my daughter is guyanese too so she's used to guyanese food she eats most of the food. My son doesn't really eat he's just 1 yr old.

@@candythaglamcook I also do ask the fishmonger to clean it, but like u said we have to clean it our way with limes, lemon or distilled vinegar. Ooh great ur daughter is a Guyanese born so sure is used to all the dishes. As for ur baby-boy he soon will get used to it unless he's a picky eater. Can I request u make white pudding with any sour, if u cant its ok. Thanks in advance🤗...

Your not Jamaican? This is the first time I saw anyone use black pepper, garlic, in sauce. Jamaicans don’t flour our fish nor smother that green muck inside the fish. Look how many Jamaicans video of fry fish and Escovitch sauce not pickles, to show you how Jamaican cook.

@@candythaglamcook Of course, and that's from a guyanese taught by Jamaicans. I think we all have authentic recipes. Take a look at pepperpot for instance, Jamaican version does not include cassareep, that's unique to Pomeroon, Essequibo. Just keeping it real!
