A short running session on my N Gauge railway layout, where I was assisted by my niece who was fascinated by the filming process and really enjoyed helping.
Trains running today:
Ivatt 2MT with the milk train
ex GWR Prairie with a local passenger
Class 22 diesel with oil tankers
ex GWR pannier with local train
Standard 4MT with mixed goods
Warship diesel with an express

Hah! When I was young, Britain’s railways really did look like this👍. I rode behind a pannier tank from Didcot to Reading and remember being annoyed it wasn’t a Castle. Would love to make the same journey by pannier tank now!

I would’ve loved to have seen those days. Severn Valley Railway has a nice pannier running at the moment, so I at least get to pretend on occasion!!

Thankyou Wolfgang! It’s a little cooler here now, but still very humid. I didn’t have the energy to go out yesterday to see any trains, but enjoyed running a few trains on the layout. 36 degrees sounds unbearable, I hope it cools down soon for you….
