i'm new to the game since a few weeks and i'm used to specific gear sets being locked for the class i play (World of Warcraft), so this video helps me out a lot when i saw i could wear all 3 types of gear sets.
For building up to a 160 CP Mage Spec, I use Queen's Elegance/Seducer. Because they're so accessible, QE is from Auridon, so easy to farm, it's insane. You can actually just go back, and hit the Dolmens/Delve Bosses for a new set every other level. (Since Seducer's is a Crafted set, I go back and forth on odd/even levels) Seducer's is a good Sustain set, and only takes 3 Traits (Per piece) so it's also accessible for new Players. I know damage damage damage damage, or Spell Critical, or Spell Penetration. Early on, Sustain is a lot more crucial than Critical, unless you're running a Spell Critical build. That's advanced, Critical builds are advanced. The basics, for new players are Sustain. If you can't do that, Spell Critical is pretty moot.
Hi dottz came to eso! U were my to go youtuber for eso! And wow you grew man! Congratz!. Im pretty hyped on playing the game again. Last i played was when morrowind released
Great video, but what could be added to mag DPS, is that overland weapons are expensive, but at least atm most mag dds still run mother's sorrow in endgame and than you'll need one inferno for the front bar, since you'll most likely backbar the vma staff and you want your other set to be always active, so although it is expensive it might be worth for the future to invest into a mother's sorrow inferno and backbar willpower or sth like this until you get the vma staff
Gear lists and recommendations are everywhere, If you want to help beginners tell us exactly how much they cost and how to get them. I'm just about to hit CP 100 and am at around 100k gold. Is this enough to buy a set? If not how much will I need? Also, how is farming a dungeon that I can set a group finder for and farm all day as a solo player harder than trying to find a guild and or player who will craft a gear set for a total stranger? These lists just tell me what I should strive for this isnt very useful for me to advance.
If you want to roll the dice with a bunch of strangers who may quit kick or fail at anytime that’s your choice. If you want reliable people who get it done fast and drama free then you’ll need to pull your weight to get reinvited on runs regularly. That gear in his video gives you the tools for a solid role performance that will help your reputation in end game content with other players.
I have where you get the sets in the charts.... and at the end of the day man it is an MMORPG. If you wanna get sets from group content (the monster sets) youre going to have to queue for a dungeon or meet people. For the overlands/crafted gear (which i specifically picked so that you dont have to do dungeons for the majority of your gear), you can join plenty of guilds who will have crafters that craft things for their members who supply mats, and for overlands you can either farm them in the zones or farm gold and then buy them. i cant give you an EXACT price because markets fluctuate, and there are different markets per platform and region.
@@dottzgaming Thanks for the info, If I came off aggressive or malicious, this was not my intent. I do love the game and this is my second try since moving from PS4 to PC. The last time I played was Dark Brotherhood, and I'm finding myself in the same predicament where I'm almost at max CP, have around 100k gold, and cant do the damage that I see you and other vets do in their videos and I generally die rather quickly.
@@alexanderrahn7348 No problem man, and its all good, tone gets lost in text alot! And feel free to check out the other builds/setups/guides on my website dottzgaming.com , maybe one of those can help you figure out the info you feel youre missing!
@@dottzgaming I asked around on my server about those sets, and a full set of mothers sorrow for example is over 1 million gold. They seem more like end game goals rather than beginning of end game sets.
I was trying to figure out what gear to use as I level up. Right now I am using gear at level 27 but not sure what gear to use now. I have kind of been using a mix of 4 med, 2 heavy, 1 light pieces of gear. Trying to stay focused on Stam as I am trying to make Warden Stam. I am not stuck and having hard time figuring out what gear I should be using. Do I just go out and get a specific set at my level? or not until I get to CP 160? I feel my character is getting weaker and not sure seems that my gear is a mix and maybe I am doing it wrong.
As someone who plays for pvp and solo content this is the guide I need. But the monster sets will be a problem. What do you recommend for people who just hit end game and doesn’t have monster pieces let alone a whole set?
Get the monster sets from the golden vendor in pvp. or, take the time and farm the sets. mSets are super easy to farm because the head pieces are guaranteed drops from the bosses on vet, and i only picked monster sets from easy dungeons. the shoulders you can just get with keys from doing pledges
Playing a magicka PVE warden with the bear here. I play ranged most of the time. Not doing trials as yet. Torn between using Julianos and Mother's Sorrow or Julianos and Necropotence. I have the Ilambris, Iceheart, and Valkyn Skoria head and shoulders which I change out depending on the situation. Could use some advice about which armor to match with Julianos to raise my damage. Mother's Sorrow would raise crit, but Necro raises magic pool which I believe raises damage. Thanks.
Older post but I found on my pet sorc build the Necro set was amazing not only boost to dmg but you get a really nice big magika pool for spamming abilities
Great guide, Dottz. What are your thoughts on the new medium set, Aegis Caller? Seems like it would stack well with something like Briarheart or Hunding's. Although I am new to the game and may be wrong. Still, would love to hear your thoughts!
I love your guides. I have a Templar Healer and I don't do Trials. What gear should I be farming? My crafting is maxed so I can make any set except the Elsewyr (I don't have that yet). Thanks for the help
If You dont want to play in trials, You never get Olorime set (from Cloudrest trial), which is the main option for Templar healer. You can substitute it with Spell power cure set from Imperial City location - White gold tower. This set will do the same work for small or unorganized groups like Olorime. The second set could be Sanctuary (Banished cells), Worm cult (Vault of madness - for magicka group), Hircine (Selenes web - for stamina group), Hollowfang thirst (Moograve fane - for magicka group), Jorvulds guidance (Scalecaller peak), Wisdom of Vanus or something Crafted - Seducer for example.
@@BundaZehart thank you so much for taking the time to help a returning player and new healer. I want to be good at it. I love the helpfulness of the ESO community
No, you should have both, take a look on that passive, most likely it'll say "when you have a sword and shield equipped", so when you change bars you'll lose that passive, so block on staff without any block passive would drain your stam easily
I'm using this as a reference. After playing the game casually for 1 year without getting too much into gearing / endgame, I've finally decided to go hardcore. Edit: Can you explain why you are using a poison glyph on the stam MH wep? Poison consumables look way better to me. Is it just in case you run out of poison consumables and have a decent enchant to fall back on?
Use whatever helps your specific build (magic, stamina), when you get to 160, that's when you start thinking more about it, a solid setup for magic would be new moon acolyte and mother's sorrow, for stam I normally shift around between briarheart and hundings/leviathan, you got the damage and crit on both and decent survivability
Tbh when it comes to monster sets for healer I cannot follow this nightflame hype. symphony of blades is by far the best imho. Maybe consider that as alt monster set for healers?
I recommended nightflame for this guide because it's super easy to get and this is a beginner focused Guide. Eventually I do think SOB is an amazing monster set to have as you get more confident in your abilities and are healing vet DLC dungeons :)
L00pTroop A beginner in this game will never get through vet Malatar without a good group. Besides, for 4 man dungeons Nightflame is very good. It’s a lot of heals, which is often more valuable to a beginner healer who’s still learning the role.
You may try Sentinel of Rkugamz which is also easy to obtain (in Darshade caverns I.) and provide quite good healing and Stamina and Magicka recovery to Your group.
No, this words fit perfectly, in first part of the video You can hear very important information: This video is for new players who reach Lvl 50 CP 160 (which is cap for equipment, altough You can get more than 1000 CPs You can use 810 CPs AND Your gear will be always CP 160). And here are recomended sets which are very easily obtainable and usable in the same time. Those sets will help You to be competitive in harder locations and able to farm better (but much harder obtainable equipment).
