Bethesda apparently has some fundamental objection to mini-maps. Elder Scrolls Online has a navigating bar across the top but I'm used to mini-maps in every other MMO that I play. I find it very inefficient to play with only the nav bar since I'm frequently opening the map to find out where I'm going.
Back in 2018 when I last played the game I found a Mini-Map add-on, but when I returned recently, that add-on was out of date. It looks like, just today 2 Jan 2023, a popular Mini-Map addon has been fixed and released. This video shows how it works, how to install it and set it up.

The sound in the first half of the video is awful. Oddly, Microsoft Game Capture cannot get the microphone sound right. The same microphone is used in the last half of the video with Corel Video Studio doing the capture. I have no idea how to fix that.
