I love listening to the bards in ESO. This bard in particular is my favorite. He has such a nice voice. "Six are the walking ways" (the second song) is my favorite song in ESO.
I absolutely love the bard songs in ESO. This is a GREAT twist, IMHO, that of setting the culture of the Dunmer people to song, just like you'd expect any culture to do. While I love the original bard songs, I honestly feel the world of Tamriel would be greatly enriched by adding MORE bard songs, so that EACH race/culture has their own unique bard songs, like the Dunmer now have. To comment separately on the vocalists who performed the songs, I find, personally, that I rather liked the female singer more. I found her to be more expressive, which I personally believe is an important aesthetic in music. My personal song favorite of these is "Brave Little Scrib." My second favorite is "The Cliff-Strider Song." Of the Original bard songs for ESO, my favorite is "Sway."
Raigh DarkHawk I agree! wish we had more songs and storytelling. It has been a very cool perk in this game since launch. I also think the female singers are more expressive here :)
Its actually mentioned in one of the pets in ESO, that there was a specific breeder of Cliff Striders who sought to turn them into the most fierce some winged predators in Vvardenfell. So its hinting that Cliff Racers in TES3 are a breed of Cliff Racers that are different than those seen in ESO. Description for Bitter Coast Cliff Strider "Thetys Ramarys of Balmora says, “Isn't it adorable? I love our Bitter Coast Cliff Striders, but feel bad that they can't fly well. So I'm breeding them into a strain that, one day, will dominate the Vvardenfell skies, pursuing its prey for great distances!”"
Thank you so much for uploading these songs! I loved these new songs and just sat on a bench listening to the bard for a while. It's good to be back in Vivec again!
is there somehting broken at 9:29 ? it ends off so oddly, its a pity > < but i still love this, also there barely are background noises. It´s still a very qiet video, but I have the same problem, I was trying to catch these up in german version, since no one did it seems. They aren´t as good as original language ,but still nice. What absolutely annoys me in german version someone smart did translate wrong. I am fairly certain, he sings "these words are based on mead" since "meat" makes no sense? and in german they translated it for meat.
Tropicanine I think it says meat here too... maybe it means: words are based on whoever is alive and whatever they decide they mean. They are based on the flesh and blood of whoever reads them, not on eternal ideas that philosophers might profess they mean. They pass away as quickly as meat rots (people die), and not on the eternal fabric of reality.
You can use an Add-On called "Lorebooks", by Ayantir & Garkin to pin these 4 books on your map, wich contains all the songs of Vvandenfell: - Songs of Vvandenfell (includes 3 songs) @ The Penitent Pilgrim Inn, in Molag Mar - Brave Little Scrib Song @ Desele's House of Earthly Delights, in Suran - Red Mountain Singing Song @ The Saucy Nix, in Seyda Neen - Cliff Strider Song @ The Rested Kwama, in Gnisis ... Also there is a related book, called "Mean Old Torchbug"... that has to do with our little scrib :D ADDON: www.esoui.com/downloads/info288-LoreBooks.html
