ESO - What Should You Buy in the Crown Store? 

The Snugpod house. It puts you right outside Elden Root, within seconds of a stable, the Master Writ turn in location, the Undaunted pledge camp, and a wayshrine, plus all the crafting stations and everything else that's in Elden Root itself. Arguably the most conveniently located house in the game. The Sugar Bowl Suite in Rimmen is free and another well located house. There's a wayshrine literally right outside the door, and its central location in town gives fast access to the entire city, including one of the best writ crafting areas in the game.

I love having the merchant! My only disappointment was that it doesn't have the ability to do a quick repair of armor, like other merchants, nor the ability to purchase anything in case you should accidently run out of repair kits (which I do all of the time) in a dungeon.

For returning players, the transmits doesn't count gear from before the collection patch launched unless you kept the gear in bank/inventory.

Lucky u should make a list of must do's that a new character should do.

I recently came back to ESO but moved to pc from console so had to start from scratch. I'm finding your videos so incredibly useful, even though I played eso for two years, I stopped for about 4 and sooo much has changed. Thank you! I rolled a dps necro as my first character thanks to you, but I hadn't seen your race video so I went imperial as thought it looked OK for if I wanted to try magicka later down the line, some of the passives seemed to suit both such as extra health.

Did not know that the pack pets applied to all and that you didn't have to summon them excellent info

ESO should come out with a tradesman assistant. You could summon a tradesman to deconstruct blacksmithing, woodworking, enchanting and jewelry items (might be too OP to have the ability to craft sets). MONEY WOULD BE MADE ESO (ya hear me?)

Good list. It's also worth noting that the any race any alliance bundle is pretty useful, even if you're not a PvP player. Especially if you have to change your race to a high elf because you want more dps, but you can't because they're in Aldmeri Dominion and you're in Ebonheart Pact/Daggerfall Covenant

I just wish the merchant would repair gear like the merchant in towns do. For this reason I place the banker as #1 because I don't use my merchant as much since I can't repair gear.

I would put Banker number one, because there are so many wandering merchants and such in game.

Definitely agree with 1/2, although, if you can only afford 1, I think the banker is more valuable. If you're in a dungeon and need space, not only can you deposit stuff you want to save, but you can also deposit junk to quickly clear up inventory and then sell or deconstruct it later. This does potentially require more micromanagement, but for me, it's the most versatile option until you can get both. Although, I do have to say Fez always warms my heart with his excited "Friend!" greeting.

You can buy a transmute station off a trader I believe as well. I happened to win one in a guild raffle for about 5k worth of tickets lol. I was super lucky.

That's how I got my transmute station for my house, via writ vouchers. I can attest ot requires some patience but that's the same way I am building my crafting tables as well, so must be a glutton for punishment!

It doesn't have to take that long to get the transmute station with writ vouchers, if you have already been playing for a while and have built up some materials. I got one a couple of nights ago in a couple of hours, largely thanks to a legendary jewellery master writ that paid 605 writ vouchers. I then just searched around the guild stores for other legendary master writs that I already had the mats for and each of those paid around 80 to 200 vouchers. Just to clarify, when I say "as long as you've been playing for a while", I've only been playing for a few months. I did have the advantage of getting a lot of motifs from the anniversary event, but most of the writs I did were just normal base styles, because it was easier than looking to see if I had the motif and the material to craft in whichever style. I would estimate the total cost, which was just the cost of buying the master writs from guild stores, was about 200,000 Gold max, with most writs being under 20,000.

I couldn't survive without my merchant!

The Merchant is SO useful. Even six years deep, I’m still one of the biggest crap hoarders I know! I take stuff that I don’t need or want the gold for. It’s a hangover from playing single player TES games that I can’t shake off. Without that, the banker and the crafting bag, I don’t think I’d be able to move most of the time.

You posts are always awesome. You need to add a correction the banker and merchant can not be used in Cyrodiil or Imperal City, I think the same is true for Battle Grounds but have not tested that. Again love watching your posts.

For the dummies and transmute you can easily use these at a guild and joining a guild is really easy. But the chapters, assistants and classes are really useful. I would get the chapters and classes first then the merchant

Nice tips for use of crowns, By the way any update for the Warden tank, unless the one i saw from website is the one though didn't care for the monster set, not to sure on where to add your point like Health, Stam and mag

"Any Race, Any Alliance" is extremely important for PvE players because it determines which Harborage you will be using for the whole main quest. You want the one in the Aldmeri Dominion because it's close and convenient. The other two require a lot more travel both to get to and from as well as once you're inside of them. Plus, the AD one is right next to an Outlaws Refuge and a set crafting area. It's by far the best of the three.

Great video, however I think it needs to be updated with armoury slots, as well as deconstruction assistant, are those worth to buy from crown store, also storage box, and how does having ESO plus changes the needed of crown store ?

Love my merchant. In some cases I never have to leave a dungeon. Until I have too many set pieces I want to sell in the guild auction. The banker may come next. On sail of course. I would love for my merchant to pull out an anvil and hammer and repair my stuff. Decon would be a nice option too. I may need to get a cat for that too.

To me these things you should buy first from crown store: 1. Chapters DLC 2. Regular DLC 3. Extra character slots Only then it makes sense to buy anything else. But never ever buy in crown store what you can get in game for free.

Merchant and Banker are very useful you should grab it along with the 3 Classes and all the DLC.

I look in the store nearly every day and am always wondering well do I buy that or is that something I can get in game, so this at least helps sort some of that out!

If your on Xbox where 1 crown costs 100 gold it's actually cheaper to buy a transmute station through crown trade, as the amount of writ vouchers it cost are worth more than the gold it would cost to buy through crown trade

Wish they would add Transmute stones to the store. Aye, I can get 180 a day using alts & random dungeons, but 12 pugs a day... hugging a Cactus while naked would be more fun!! :)

I would still have suggested that you also can transmute inside guildhalls.

Slight correction: Transmute station does not allow you to craft any gear you have ever looted as it doesn't retroactively add everything to collections. Like I am missing entire sets or parts of sets I know I have had in my bank for years and then deconstructed, and unfortunately just a couple of months before the reconstruction system came out.. But yeah, it doesn't contain all the sets you ever looted. It does contain some stuff I have looted in the past however. How do I know this? Since I was away for 6 months, came back and reconstruction was in the game - sets I deconstructed or sold much longer ago than that are somehow in my collections. For example, it says I only have one part of a set from a normal dungeon. A dungeon I have completed like 40 times? - like somehow I clicked and dragged all the items and destroyed them rather than bound them by selling or deconstructing? I don't think so. And then it says I have a bunch of items from sets from certain DLC dungeons that I haven't done in a year. Awesome feature though, bugs withstanding. Very confusing, but quite awesome.

As opposed to the dummy and transmute stations, what about character limit upgrades to actually be able to make up to 18 characters?

For the transmute station you can get access to it for free by Joining a guild with one in their guild house.

Fezez the Merchant is #1 not because he's useful, not because you get extra gold, but rather cause he is so freaking cute! Just look at him, little ball of fur, but also a great merchant from Hammerfel or Elsweyr (idk). Love that kitty and I am not even a cat person irl :D :D :D

I have jewelry crafting, but the mats are so rare and expensive I have never made any jewelry. I have a transmute station in my house but I have only used it once. I have a parse dummy in my house but I have only used it twice. Join a guild with a good guildhouse and don't waste time and money on transmute station or dummies. Greymoor is definitely good. The antinquity system is very useful and fun, and the greymoor questline is more interesting than most. Sumerset is good too, even if you never use the jewelry system like me. I use the banker assistant all the time. I rarely use the merchant assistant. Note that the merchant assistant CANNOT REPAIR unlike every other merchant. My top picks would be: banker, greymoor, necromancer, warden.

The merchant does sound useful but i currently don't have many items or sets on me so i end up holding all my items until i can deconstruct them for materials. But since idk what i should craft I've ended up just holding on to a bunch of mats

You don't need to buy your own training dummy, transmute station, basin of loss, aetherial well, etc. because every guild worthwhile has them. Also before you spend any money on the game, get the latest chapter and ESO plus. You'll get all the previous chapters (including warden and necromancer) and the current ones along with all dlc's and the craft mat bag (which is invaluable). After that get the merchant and maybe the banker. The pets are worth the money but not at all as impactful as any of the other things I've mentioned.

I find the banker of the greatest utility, because it enables you to play "almost ESO+", without paying for it.

What does eso plus come with (everything)?

I don't understand the pet that increases inventory Is it just five spots per character or is it an additional five for every character So my guy is Max is it 205 or is it 240 since I have eight characters

5:12 it's worth it to check on eBay for the ESO explorer's pack. You can usually get it for $4 to $8 and it comes with the any race any alliance unlock as well as the base game pre-order pet and a bunch of treasure maps.

Ok so this is all weird for me..I judt bought base game on steam...if I buy the full dlc special edition on steam is that all of the chapters?

Might be a bit/alot off topic... *Giving the races more individual flavour* The current racial passive perks are absolutely useless... imo each of the races need a perk that would be financially gaining to just them eg: *Orcs* have a bonus chance to get alot extra items from refining. *Bosmer/wood elves* get more resources from nods. *Altemas/high elves* have al chance to create ornate when crafting a trait-less equipment. *Khajiit* better fencing prices or better chance at getting rare stolen items. *Argonians* better chances to collect rare fish. (Also the ability to swim down over fishing holes to collect fish same time required to fish as it is to collect from ore or wood nods.) *Dunmar/dark elves* better chances at getting furniture plans from dungeons. *Nords* have a higher chance to get rare items from dead enemies (the rare blue items such as chattering skull.) *Brettons* get alot more ap from alliance pvp and pve. Also able to receive ap from high level crafting writs. *Imperials* more gold from all sources. *Redguards* more gold from questing.

I never had eso plus. But I have every dlc every mundus stone, a very fancy house with banker cat and merchant. I have the atherial source and the trail dummy. How? I think I am a good trader ingame.

Summerset comes free if you buy the latest expansion, wouldn't that be more cost-effective than just buying it separately? And Warden and Necromancer classes and zones would come with that latest x-pack purchase also?

I have the relequin chest but it doesn't look like that. I love the wings but hate it's look. Must be different on PC I guess since I play on PS4 but I finally gave up and costumed it.

My favorites are limited edition (or just rare) cosmetics like hair styles or personalities and....crates (yes I love crates). What you mention will always stay in the crown store so if I feel like it I can always get them anytime

The most annoying thing is that my 3-month membership renewed and only gives me 4950 crowns ... just shy of getting a banker or merchant. So I'll have to upgrade other things and make sure I keep at least 50 crowns in reserve for the next renewal.
