I've been in the market for some guitars with Floyd Rose bridges and I noticed something that I didn't really start looking into until now. Pricing is stupid. #espltdguitars #espguitars #ltdguitars #espltd
I'm having the same dilemma between a pair of Eclipses. One is the EC-1000S which is black with Fishman Fluence Moderns. The other one has the same features but has finish in Woodland Camo. The black one retails at 1299 Euros while the camo one is 1599 Euros. I guess they're charging more for the paint job on the latter. My Arrow-1000 in Charcoal Black was 1600 Euros while I paid 1300 Euros for my Candy Apple Red One (same as yours) The pricing is outrageous.
Yeah some of the finish options will add to the price depending upon complexity and difficulty. The andromeda Arrow I have is another example. Camo finishes, even if they have a pattern template, still adds to the work load. There’s things that make sense but then there’s an equal number of things that don’t.
It’s jut weird, and if the body shapes are the same they’re using the same setups but with less machine time if they’re not cutting extra pickup recesses or drilling for potentiometer holes. I don’t know what their cycle times are but even 15 mins can make a big difference in cost when you’re dealing in bulk.
@@vinaymulukutla358 watching back I wasn’t maybe clear that I don’t have a problem with bolt on necks, I have a bunch of Fenders and even an LTD with a bolt on neck. However it is cheaper from a manufacturing standpoint than neck thru so the prices being identical is strange and doesn’t make sense. Especially when comparing to the M-1000 with 2 humbuckers.
