Remember the time where Espeon magic bounced a Parting Shot and used the Parting Shot to switch out and remove its Calm Mind boost?

At 8:02 I think your opponent expected you to use Destiny Bond so they went for Rapid Spin to avoid hitting Froslass.

Back in X&Y even SunMo, I kept Espeon on my teams cause it was just that good of a Pokémon that no one really saw coming. A fast and good special sweeper that can be switched in when the opponent is obviously going to set up entry hazards or status effects. Due to it being able to be both defensive and offensive, it's easily my favorite Eeveelution. Love its sleek design as well.

HELL yeah espeon is by far my favorite lead to stop hazards and an early sweerp to suprise people (it dosent work a lot of the time but its still fun!)

FINALLY, A COMPETITIVE ESPEON VIDEO! I've used Espeon sometimes with a trick set with Espeon wearing choice specs and using trick, psychic, shadow ball, and thunderwave. It saved me in a clutch battle once too when I had it on a sun team with weather ball instead of thunderwave

I used Espeon on every team back in 5th gen competitively. Magic Bounce goes crazy and it hits like a truck. I always ran mine as a duel screener

I stand by that Espeon REALLY needs a strong fire move. While Tera Blast exists and can be used for it, it's less beneficial for Espeon to be Tera Fire over Tera Fairy, as Fairy is a better defensive type. If Espeon got Mystical Fire, a fire move a lot of Psychic Pokemon can learn, You could run Psychic/Psyshock, Tera Blast (Fairy)/(Fighting), Shadow Ball and Mystical Fire, which would give Espeon an insanely good amount of coverage, with Tera Fairy or Fighting covering its weakness well. It wouldn't make Espeon top tier or anything, but it would make it another incredibly good special nuke with added hazard protection.

You should try a full team of Eeveelutions

I used to have a wild time setting up skill swap/psych up on magic bounce espeon on doubles with a gothitelle that knew flatter and always held a persim berry. My psychic girls would absolutely devour competitive. Paired with my garchomp to sweep hydreigons, the girls stood their ground

Haydunn fr is the man with a plan

The biggest issue it has is no steel coverage. If they gave it flamethrower it would actually put in some amazing results. Other than that the eeveelution stat spread is doing its bulk zero favors. In case your wondering every eeveelution has the same base stats rearranged. All of them have 60, 65, 65, 95, 110, and 130 in some order.

The first game getting the stealth rocket uno reverse was pretty good. Not sure if you needed it for the damage, but being able to just not care about focus sashes is nice.

Great video as usual 👍. One point i want to point out that should the shaymin go down their. If destiny bond is used in the first turn your opponent clicks sucker punch, you can essentially force them to kill your pokemon by clicking an attacking move as sucker punch would go first in the turn after and destiny bond would still be in effect. I tested that out today, it works.

I can't find the video but Haydunn's one liners are next level. And this is a little bit of paraphrasing, but it went like: "You're probably thinking that tentacruel was made after a squid, but it was actually made after a goat" then proceeds to delete his opponent.

I found this insane Moltres set that actually uses rain to have an almost 40 percent chance to ohko an assault vest and perfect ev and iv in SPD shuckle. It uses rain to guarantee that hurricane will hit and choice specs to deal insane damage. I am so sad that Moltres isn't as popular as other legendaries.

Espeon probably was overlooked because of the existence of Alakazam. It has more speed, Spa, the same abilities and more move coverage I think. Similar but weaker defenses.

Espeon is one of the best calm mind sweepers in Pokemon when it receives cotton guard from baton pass and has magic bounce. Just run Morning Sun, Calm Mind, Dazzling Gleam, and Stored Power on that thing, and it 6-0s people.

With Hatterene being so prominent in OU it might be hard to use it there. Espeon is still good and has the more speedy advantage, but Hatterene makes up for it for having duel stab, better use of Tera, and overall more utility options like Nuzzle and Draining Kiss (Built in Stab). Espeon could be nice in UU though. Edit: The main issue is Espeon's poor bulk making switches very risky compared to Hatterene's much more useful bulk.

It would be cool if they made magic bounce the move. Just make it work like upper hand in the way it's prediction based and won't remain on the field like screens.
