Boomburst is 140 BP. Plus Punk Rock, that goes up to 182. With the Tera Normal STAB, that goes up all the way to 273. Stronger than Explosion. Every single turn with 0 drawbacks.

Tera types make that type move do 2x damage instead of 1.5 like normal STAB. So Tera normal boom burst goes up to 364 coming off of a pretty solid special attack stat with EVs

I remember using toxtricity with throat spray, punk rock, and Tera normal and a rotom with helping hand. My enemy was causally taking 613 BP boombursts on both Pokémon with no drawbacks aside from dedicating rotom to support.

Funniest thing about Toxtricity is it's the first poison-type to get the combo of Technician and Acid Spray (Roserade was robbed), and nobody bothers using it for that trait since it's better off just making loud noises.

Toxtricity was already fairly good in gen 8, but tera really kicks it up a notch! It used to be that Boomburst was limited by it not being STAB, but now, big noise go boom lol

I think if you had swapped out Scizor with Hitmonlee then it would've been able to floor that Kingambit with Upper Hand if it uses Sucker Punch. Then you could've used your Mammoswine against Dragonite to finish with Ice Shard if it was fast enough to outspeed its ES or if not, Icicle Crash for more damage and you would've won that second battle. But overall, THAT TOXTRICITY IS SO METAL!

I used to run Toxtricity in doubles with Zeraora. Plasma Fists turns Boomburst into electric (and heals Zeraora via Volt Absorb.) And if you face a ground type you can hit it for neutral by not using Plasma Fists.

Ooft that ending was rough. Not sure if that was a prediction on the Endure, they were playing safe, or they just forgot Noivern was easily in Extreme Speed range but the Dragon Dance seemed unnecessary. (Even if EQ didn't kill Toxy in one it was still a 2 turn kill with setup or follow up Extreme Speed)

Having 2 games is pretty good, because it allows for close games that you lose to be included. Like, this series is an exhibition match for a concept, so I don't expect to see games where you just get picked apart. (The SLP series was full of that and I didn't like it)

I literally made a Physical and Special sweeper set for Toxtricity and only put shift gear on the physical set, how did my dumbass not realize I could put it on the special one too

I love toxtricity but one of the things I don't like is that the amped up form gets shift gear but the lowkey form doesn't. It's a really bummer cause I vibe more with the lowkey form myself.
