Media doesn't like Steph because he wasn't supposed to be as good as he became. They never expected a player to come from out nowhere and take the entire league away from lebron the golden child, let alone change basket ball forever. The people love Steph, but the media doesn't. They look at Steph as an aberration that lasted way too long that made an unexpected impact. That's why they will always try to minimize him, when it comes to lebron.
Exactly, Steph wasn't supposed to happen. The media had Lebron winning championships for years to come. Then, entered Steph and the Lemedia went into legacy saving mode for Lebron.
Facts . Lebron carry was scripted their whole agenda was to “ make lebron win, have a new jordan like era” but curry shattered that and they didn’t know how to handle it . U csn see this with fact the refs don’t give curry no calls , u ever see the mans arms after each game. He look like he ran threw a thorn bush
Exactly in the era Jordan was in, there was no competition to compete against him because he was that damn great and nobody else could have reached his level. In the era LeBron is in, there is competition because LeBron didn’t stop anybody from winning championships ie Dirk and his team in 2011, Spurs in 2014.
So you guys are just going to ignore the fact that Durant was on the team? Now I don't necessarily think they needed him but he was still on the team making harder even for the 96 Bulls to beat.
If Curry didn’t show up against Serbia, US would have only won the bronze. To me, Curry has nothing left to prove for the rest of his career. He’s accomplished everything that people said he wouldn’t do.
people keep saying steph wasn't good in the games that didn't matter, but that's because nobody was passing to steph when it didn't matter. when shit came down to the wire, everyone started passing to steph
No 🧢 They believe n that n’gga just like we do idgaf what nobody say that’s respect u can tell when LeBron passes the ball to curry how much he believes as well as KD
Those NBA players make me sick. They disrespect Steph Curry and minimize his accomplishments on every turn. BUT yet, they grin in his face and let him carry the load. And poor little gracious Steph, just "take it on the chin". Steph keeps his head up and walks proud every time. If, Steph Curry had not been on this Olympic team, in Paris, this would have been a miserable Olympics and miserable trip to Paris for team USA. We saw how Steph was making "everything" light-hearted and fun. How he was joyfully engaging everyone. Can you just imagine that trip to Paris for these guys WITHOUT the "take charge" gregarious, personable, natural showman Steph Curry? LeBron James is NOT THAT guy. Kevin Durant is NOT THAT guy. And NONE of the rest. Steph Curry is a special kind of human being. And God bless him and his family.
This is typical LeBron fans always accusing people of hating they clearly can’t be objective. They’re too biased. The reality is Steph Curry should’ve gotten the MVP for the Olympics.
It is almost like casual basketball fans cant tell the difference between a one way player & an all around player. If you dont know the difference, you probably think Steph deserved MVP.
@@Reaper13-hi3yo did you just call lecherrypick an all around player? the guy who doesnt play real defense and only gambles on occasional blocks and steals?
I knew it was over when they posted the results like two daya before the Semis lmao. It couldn't be more obvious how EVERYTHING about this Olympics was about LeBron.
Brother the instant I saw "LeBron saved Team USA" after beating South Sudan by 1pt in the prelims was when I knew.. They was already setting up the "better competition" excuse just in case a loss happens etc.. But if USA wins, "LeBron is 39 cArRyInG USA", all that.. So yeah Steph actually being the best player on the floor in the closing elimination games was enough for me to say he deserves MVP and Bron is not better/greater than Steph..
@juliuscaesar6994 Lebron is not better than Steph? You realize that when Lebron and Steph are the best players on their teams going head to head in the playoffs, Lebron is 2-1. And only lost that one best his 2 next best players were injured
Well, that's BS. "They voted before the last 2 games and there's no trophy." Sooo, maybe Lebron could've made a statement honoring a co-MVP?? Nooo, that would be bad for his legacy.
LeBron's whole thing is... that he hopes in 10 years after he is retired nobody goes back and looks at the tapes and they just refer to the numbers and the trophies. Because we all know Curry has been dominating the new era of basketball not LeBron
The most iconic parts of LeBron's career has been him WATCHING somebody else come up big in the "do or die" situations. It never seems to be LeBron saving the day, it's always Chris Bosh, Ray Allen, Kobe in the Olympics, Kyrie, AD, and now Steph. LeBron may truly be the GOAT of "Watching my teammates bail me out as I disappear in the clutch". But he surely ain't the GOAT of basketball!🤣
@@Murali_bala13 LeBron didn’t make ANY play in most of the examples I gave. Unless you consider “chucking up and missing a 3 point attempt so Chris Bosh can get a clutch rebound and make the clutch pass to Ray Allen who clutchly steps behind the 3-point line and clutchly sinks the Finals-saving shot” as LeBron “making the right winning play”. FOH with that nonsense!🤣
@@labynoe conveniently forget LeBron hit the 3 before Ray Allen 3 to tie the game... Lebron blocked the shot before Kyrie hit the 3. I mean yeah it isn’t a thing it’s only there to uplift a player. Nobody values in season tournament mvp or western conference mvp so why even value that.
Klutch Sports have made it a thing in order to fool gullible children into thinking LeBron put another important accolade on his resume. Let's face it, the people aren't the brightest bulbs on the xmas tree, their pitiful minds are easily manipulated and Klutch have been doing a _lot_ of manipulating of late...
LeFraud fans say Curry isn't MVP because of first few games and I say, the first few games were blowouts, Curry didn't need to go off from behind the ark, but the ONLY two games that were tough, Curry absolutely stepped up and saved USA from double digit losses.....
Bruh do you realize curry shot like 3/20 the earlier games 😂 boy wax trying to score just couldn’t. Lebron didn’t take many shots any game mainly was playing PG. idk why everyone’s getting so whiny over who won what. USA won but if you wanna get into the details Lebron had more assists rebounds and defensive plays than Curry and barely less pts so that matters.
Curry didn't need to play well in the first 4 games. He allowed others to shine but he saved the best for the last 2 games when it mattered most. If he didn't play the way he did vs. Serbia, USA will not reach the finals.
You have no clue Tell me you didnt watch the USA games without saying it out loud. Steph couldn't guard the trash can and until the last 2 games avg 5.1 ppg and virtually no assists. I can see nominating the Joker but you got to be in the gold medal game to get the MVP imo
@@cochise4390 joker would be the only player i would consider. I am no LBJ fan but outside some head scratching turnovers in the 4th- LBJ dis it all: scored, dished, rebounded, and defended
@ChristopherMcdonald-uc4rw Hell yeah. I hate his antics. I don't hate the dude. I hate that he's manipulating narratives. I hate what he & klutch sports get up to. I hate that nothing is ever his fault, always his teammates or the coach. I hate the nepotism of forcing his son on the lakers. Finally, any man who must call himself king is no true king. Sadly, the world is dumbed down and so are his fans.
@@Obi_Haves why don't u make a trophy and hand it to Steph if it bothers u so much....? I enjoyed the camaraderie and chemistry between LeBron and Steph.... Basketball at its best with their 2-man game.... Why let a stupid MVP award ruin a great Olympic experience...
i DONT CARE 'when' the 'voting' was done; ill NEVER UNDERSTAND 'how' a player that 'averaged' the MOST TURNOVERS on his team 'and' the MOST 'total' TURNOVERS in the ENTIRE OLYMPICS would get the MVP!??!?
Lebron coughed up some very pivotal moments throughout the games. Throwing the ball out of bounds on a fastbreak, coughing up the dribble in the open floor when he faced a double team that barely met him, passing to the opposing team when he jump-passed to Devin...Lebron is as clumsy as they come...lol
@@alejandrobarrionuevo9957 funny how you leave out he also led in assist, dummy the primary playmaker will almost always lead the team in turnovers you goof
The problem is actually that they are just awful ppl. One trait you'll always find in awful ppl is hypocrisy. They understand context. That's why they'll hold it against Curry when they bring up Iggy and KD winning FMVP for GS. Curry did the most in the finals both of those years. But Iggy and KD won FMVP for stepping up in key moments. The context matters if it goes against Curry. It doesn't matter if it goes against LeBron.
@@BruvahSulaimanumm ib 2018 and 17 KD did more than Steph majority of the games. As far as 15, Iggy got it the same reason Kawhi got it. So it was consistent
It's like giving the NBA finals MVP in the semi finals before even finding out who's playing in the finals...lol. Steph Curry was there when it mattered. That's what counts.
There shouldn't be an MVP because the Olympics is not just about the game of basketball. That's just one of many tournaments. The decathlon would be the MVP event.
LeBron 4th Quarter Turnover Turnover Missed Shot Dunk (because didnt run back on defense) Turnover Shooting Foul Turnover It's NOT ONLY that Curry was the hero. It's ALSO THAT LeBron sucking so bad in the 4th is WHY HE NEEDED TO BE
Made sure player empowerment would happen so less competition overall would occur and robbed a few players of awards throughout his career based on status than actual play
they must have changed the ruling because in the 2020 Olympics (held in 2021) KD won MVP and in pool play he was avg at best. The first two games he scored 10 points twice. the last game against the Czech republic he scored 23 points. In the meal round to win the gold medal he had 29 23 and 29 points to win MVP. If they're saying the MVP voting was before the semi-finals then KD wouldn't have been a legit candidate. But KD was the MVP of that Olympics
No wonder why all stars like Demar Derozan, Paul George, etc don’t want to play with LeBron because when they win LeBron gets all the credit, but when they lose they get all of the blame.
I agree . Lebron gets all the credit when the team wins when the team loses they blame teammates. It doesn’t make sense. That’s why as lakers fan I’m tired of having Lebron on our team even with Bronny. I expect the lakers to rebuild this year.
Shouldn't be voting until the tournament is over. Lebron had a ounce of class he give it to Curry knowing the voted to early. That would do more for his perishes legacy he is so weird about then a Trophy that the World knows he did not deserve. Really Lebron give it to him, you gain so many fans that don't watch basketball. Just good PR advice going to closed ears.
@@cljackson512 they get the Bronze without Steph, and that would be enough proof for anyone with two brain cells to rub together. Plus the fact that James had all those turnovers, that almost lost them games, should also speak volumes, but I know how you Stanzboys struggle with facts when it pertains to your daddy. But you keep on fronting for your favorite pair o nutz.
Here's a genuine question: *Why does anyone care about who they give awards like this to* ? It's not like any fan is incapable of thinking for him or herself and disagreeing. These awards are meaningless... UNLESS you give the NBA authority over your own opinions.
This is typical LeBron fans always accusing people of hating they clearly can’t be objective. They’re too biased. The reality is Steph Curry should’ve gotten the MVP for the Olympics. And it’s pretty obvious that LeBron had some influence on the MVP voting. He probably paid off the higher ups to give them the MVP award because LeBron’s narcissism can’t handle the fact that someone could get an MVP over him.
“He probably paid off the higher ups to give him MVP award because lebron narcissism can’t handle the fact that someone could get MVP over him.” Do you not see how ironic that statement is after commenting that😂?
Joker led all players in points, rebounds, assists and efficiency but he wasn’t even mentioned for MVP consideration. Who was the most valuable to their teams success… Lebron or Joker? The dismal of Jokers performance throughout the tournament is a byproduct of Klutch Sports stranglehold over the media. Joker was best player in the Olympics and is arguably the best player in the NBA and no one in sports media even talks about it.
Everyone talks about how Joker is the best player in the world. The media has and always will be stupid. Still think it's fair to give tournament mvp to the team that won the tournament. LeBron definately ain't deserve mvp tho
@@riotordiet9154 even from the exhibition matches it was pretty much a guranteed USA win lol. Sure voting early is bad but the one thing you could make a sure bet on was USA winning gold
Guys like Wright are only saying this about Steph in order to maintain what very little credibility they still hold onto. And whatever team James is on, it's always about ONE guy. And anyone who isn't bitten by the James cognitive dissonance bug, knows this FULL well. #WeDoneWithLeBron Edit: That David Ferry shout out was spot on. Classic stuff. 😆😆
The example you just gave about Steph having those 3 good games and Durant only had that clutch shot, and Durant got the MVP. While in this Olympics the same thing happened, apparently LeBron James had the stats, Steph had the clutch games but they "gave" the MVP to LeBron James. That "glaringly" PROVES that Nike and the Nike "boys" LeBron James and Kevin Durant, get the awards every time, no matter what. More food for thought, ALL the players for Olympic USA men's basketball team are under signed contracts TO Nike. All of them except Steph Curry,Ant, and Joel Embiid. Ant was relegated to the bench. And Steph Curry was minimized and so was Embiid. Embiid was down right almost harassed this whole tournament.
@@theentirety117 ha. Your cognitive dissonance isn't my problem. Your response just speaks to how brainwashed you are. Go get another booster you genius.
The worst thing to happen to Steph’s career is the Choking One, Lebronze James. Lebron and Klutch has made sure that Steph will get no shine as long as Lebron is still an active player in the league.
From RayGun making it to the Olympics and Lebron winning MVP when Curry deserved it more, just exposed how pathetic Olympic oversight is for everything that isn't Track and Field.
This the reason all these stars dont want to play with lebron anymore in the regular season. They all realized when they win, its only because of lebron. When they lose, its everybody else fault and the media picks a scapegoat.
this olympic mvp situation also raises question for me is that how deep Bron is connected to have so much power and control over this whole worldwide entertainment business
You should make a video on the undeserved awards Lebron has recieved throughout his career...also how his stats would look if he didn't get away with constant phantom calls, travels, flops, charging etc.
“An Olympic mvp shouldn’t exist”… I fully agree! The Olympics are different than the nba. It’s supposed to be about the country not one individual player.
They probably back tracking after they saw no one came out to celebrate the gold for the team. But what Jokic got? Bruh...that dude can run his entire country right now if he wanted to! 😂😂
7:25 - "So, the MVP voting is a little funny...." No, It was incompetently handled. Period. Voting for the tournament MVP began _before_ the semifinal game was even played?! Nuts.
I bet as soon as Lebron retires, a lot of these garbage awards are going to go away, even the in-season tourney. All of this mess is being done to prop him up to a place he doesn't belong. Well, hate to tell ya Bronites, but this dude is a FRAUD and always has been! The minute he abandoned Cleveland for his AAU Heat team, he lost all respect and been trying to win it back ever since. Too bad 4-6 can't do that. Lebron = Participation Award King!!
One day, years from now, folks would tell the truth. For now, let their bias speak for them. MJ, KOBE, STEPH.. that's it. Every other person comes after.
every role played has stats, but not all players could finish the job successfully like saving the team from losing... players can fill the stats sheet even if the team fails to win... sc was used as dcoy in the first games that can't be seen on stat sheets
So if they voted before medal rounds how jokic didnt win??He had the best stats and beat impact!!They said he couldnt win cause of bronze but yet awards was voted before the medals!!So what a joke!!
KD and Steph at least should've been co-MVP. Steph was better in 3/4 games. You have to analyze a series game for game because a historically good or bad game can ruin your stats or improve you stats. For example KD vs Boston in 2022 was had 23, 27, and 16 thw first three games which is an average of 22ppg. But in Game 4 he had 39 points and his average went from 22 to 26.
Let it go guys. Lebron was the MVP. He was consistent great trhoughout the whole tournament and their games. Curry did an amazing job during the last two games.
Jokic was clearly the MVP. First player in history to lead the Olympic tournament in total points, rebounds and assists and took a Serbian team to a medal after a game v the US when Serbia was the better team. It took an unconscious shooting performance by Curry and some very questionable officiating for the US to survive. It was clear the officials weren't going to let the US miss the gold medal game because it would have completely tanked the ratings. Curry played poorly through most of the tournament until those last two games.
Bron haters are hilarious if it was lebron who only showed up for the last 2 games and was a walking brick the other 4 there’s no way y’all would be crying about him not getting mvp
@@jjnthegoat2200 exactly you’d think cause we have 3 of the greatest players of the 2010s maybe everyone can appreciate greatness but they just cry about lebron deservingly so winning mvp
Curry showed up when he was needed most. That's value. Who cares if he's not shooting well in games that we're blowing the other team out of the water regardless. On the other hand, those 2 games he did show up in kept the USA from 1) playing for a bronze medal and 2) then kept France from making a potential comeback victory when all the momentum was on their side (got within 3, home crowd, Wemby going off). That's VALUE. Not scoring 30 when it's not needed, it's scoring in the clutch WHEN IT'S DESPERATELY NEEDED. That's VALUABLE. That's an MVP
Steph Curry is definiately a fun player to watch and a tough opponent to beat. Your team can be doing everything right and this dude will shoot four 3 pointers in a row. What are you supposed to do?! The dude hit 4 threes. That must've felt hopeless as.. the opposition. We wont forget about this game for a while.
Curry is not the MVP , yall literally going off 2 games when it was a 6 game and he playing good 2 games which he was amazing but don’t change the first 4 hell nah . I would say kd over curry I would say jokic is the MVP over both . Jokic then lebron , Lebron got the nod because his team won . Curry was never the mvp , he wasn’t even in top 10 when they released the odd after them first 4 games dude was ass . SAS is just like all you guy who saying 2 out 6 games is good enough . That mean he played good 33 percent of the time .
If Olympics want to do an MVP then pick 5 stats or advanced statistics and whoever leads wins MVP. Don't do random people voting. This is like they took regular season into account when handing out finals MVP but let the fans decide. It's basically a popularity contest at that point.
Funny how when Steph shows you a clutch performance, people would talk about "oh he didn't show up until the last 2 games". If Steph did balled out the first couple of games and didn't play well on the last two, the narrative would be is that "Steph is not clutch" or "he is good but didn't show up when you need him the most in the clutch". I ain't even mad that Steph ain't the mvp. Steph would be criticized no matter the outcome, but he is the reason why this olympics is memorable and legendary, that's something no one can argue.
So they gaurenteed no one but leflop could get mvp. And with his connections he knew only the first 4 games counted. Which is probably why he stopped going all out in the medal games.
While seeing this video, I can't help but wonder how amazing it would be to see Joker and Steph, I'm like, damn, they would be perfect. Right now if they were to team up, it would be a new dynasty. Joker would gladly make Curry the main guy, because he loves winning, as well as Steph. Imagine 2 selfless but indeed selfless superstars, wanting to win. That sounds like a sure thing to me. And they will both age masterfully. Just saying ✌️. P.S. Cuki dodaje 😂, "jebanje keve ako se desi to 😂😅.
The voting STARTED 2 days before the semis which means they were still voting during the finals. There has to be a window where the voting happens 2 days before the semis is only 4 days before the finals. There is no need to implicate that the voters voted 2 days before the semis that is dumb.
Lebum was chosen for that award before the Olympics even started. They created the award specifically for him. Just like the play-in tournament. Just like the in-season tournament. How else are you gonna convince people that a guy who’s not even a top 25 player is the goat? He needs to be artificially propped up.
