Lifetime Raiders fan and I've watched 👀 every snap of AOC. Had AOC entered the nfl draft his Jr season many nfl experts predicted he would be a 1st round selection. I highly recommend listening to Hondo Carpenter latest episode today about AOC and the situation he was in last year. I firmly believe AOC will lead the Raiders into the playoffs in 2024 and remains the Raiders starting QB for a decade.
Most NFL fans are "fanatics", which makes them uber biased, which also makes them incapable of being objective and being reasonable about QB play, draft position, and damn near every other subject about their given team! That, coupled with most Raiders fans being illiterate and angry, makes them not worth listening to! AO4 had ZERO mentoring under McDildo and then steadily progressed once McDouchebag was gone! This guy could be our guy! Build the team around him and stop crying about what we don't have!

Minshew Mania will always be ready to go and is the definition of a Wild Card; hard to read & unpredictable and also hasn’t been on a team w/this many weapons. AP gave O'Connell respect. Said he earned the starting reps in the off-season. So if mishew wins it, he just straight up won the job. If O'Connell starts, AP isn't the type of person to hold someone's hand, so if it's O'Connell, he earned the QB1 slot by being at least equal to minshew
Although Minshew is the only RAIDERS QB opponent that really impressed me. (Pissed me off) last year and never had a thought that he'd be a RAIDER. I'm still sold on the unseen talents of Aidan O'Connell. Just something about him. I'm 58 and I've seen brother.

O'Connell can throw bombs. 40,50,60 yard bombs and most of the Raiders receiving core are deep threats. Minshew can scramble and create but doesn't throw the deep ball like O'Connell. O'Connell is more suited to get the ball to Raiders playmakers but Minshew is capable but it's a different offense with both. Potentially more dynamic with O'Connell's arm but still effective with Minshew's ability to stretch plays.
@@toyasparkman9727 Minshew can get the job done but the offense will run better with O'Connell's deep ball and accuracy and his chemistry with Davante, Jakobi, Tucker, ,Meyer, Zamir. We'll see how the competition shakes out.
If Minchew wins the job, he’ll have to win by KO. Anything close goes to the kid. He’s got his work cut out for him. AO12 showed some nice improvement last season as time went on and always bounced back after every bad game. Not easy for a rookie to do. I thought he had his most impressive performance in the 2nd half of the last game vs Denver, making some nice tight window throws, scanning the field through his progressions, and showing great command of the offense. All after leaving the game with a hurt throwing hand for a series. I expect a nice jump in year 2 with a full professional offseason under his belt. He won’t need to be a world beater either, this defense has a legit chance at being elite.
Either way it's great to have two good options at QB. Remember folks the Raiders had Jimmy Garbagalo and Hoyer at QB. AOC has a completely different situation this year and so does Minshew, because he didn't have the weapons he has now.
People aren't paying attention to AOCs history. He's had to EARN his way at each level. This means he's mentally ready for challenges and perseveres. Most QBs wouldn't have been able to survive last season. He's going to make huge leaps this year and the QB competition only helps AOC progress . I'd take Minshew over Purdy. He's gritty and won't lose the game for you

Minshew was a great pick up, I feel his style and mobility is what O’Connell lacks incase Aiden doesn’t show out. In my mind the only way O’Connell doesn’t play well it’s Oline injuries, which minshew mobility will help after that fact.
Look at the film of AOC’s career at Purdue. He can sling it. The Raiders have the kind of coach they need, they have some great players. I fully expect a winning season from my team. No excuses. The value of having the players believe in the system , and themselves, cannot be understated. Minshew is a good quarterback. This is a team sport . Believe, Be a team . Go Silver and black.
Most of the negativity about AOC are from Raider fans who never watched him play a single game in college and just don't like the fact he's only a 4th rd draft pick. He has arm talent and if he came out after his junior year he probably would have been a 1st rd pick. He was one of those guys that took a lot of risks and sometimes he turned the ball over too much. He also moved around the pocket pretty well which is another thing they bitch about. He was thrown into an awful situation last year and was never groomed to even start then they changed coaches which caused more chaos. I'm not saying he is a franchise QB at this point but I will say that's not so far fetched an idea watch the PFF draft show when he was picked in the 4th both guys were pretty positive about him. All I know is we should find out this year and we deserve a break like so many other teams have gotten. I feel like Minshew we already know and he's fine but AOC could be better than fine.

They’re not looking at what they can get out of Minshew. They’re looking at what they can get out of Aiden. Minshews hit his ceiling and Aiden’s still looking for his. If all else fails with #12 and it’s crystal clear he’s not the guy you don’t go with Minshew to find that out? Minshew is a great back up. Most Raider fans havn't seen Minshew Much other than he "is a backup". Most colts fans didn't know who Minshew was last year. Most fans and experts thought the season was over last year after AR got hurt.

Why do many throw so much shade on AO12? The kid went through hell last year as a rookie and did a great job considering the circumstances. He finished the season as the #2 rookie QB just behind CJ Stroud. He deserves the benefit of doubt going into Year 2 yah think???? He doesn't have to be the next coming of Patrick Mahomes to be successful for crying out loud! Everyone is always focused on the next shiny object.

Raiders really over paid terribly for minshew. AOC will start but still not good enough. Inexperienced head coach and trash new OC. And a defense thats only good on the line but has a weak secondary. 7 win season max
Minshew is a cap hit of $8M this year, $14M in year 2 or a $7M dead cap hit at most if they cut him. That's not really a "terrible overpay" for a QB who you may need to be the starter.
