ESPRIT® Tips & Tricks: Slot milling ramping technique 

Applying a pocketing operation to a pocket feature - where the tool diameter is the same as the slot width - will yield a toolpath with a ramp entry move that has an inconsistent length along the entire slot. The solution is to apply a contouring operation to the same feature with altered "Strategy and Links" settings.
