Thank you for sharing all of these ideas! I recently bought my kit, and am collecting all my faves!! While they don’t cure anything, I do see benefits from using them, for a range of issues my family and I were experiencing!!
I would love a video on your favorite blends to diffuse and use topically, and a demo of how you do it! Ooo and maybe a diy portion on bath salts or something! 💕💕 love your videos :)
I recently discovered a “pro” tip...fill a jar with plain epsom salt, and put all your empty essential oils bottles and loose caps in. The epsom salt will take on the scents, and you can use them in your bath.
I’ve heard that essential oils are good to put on your lips at night for moisture. Someone told me adding peppermint to your lip mixture could stimulate collagen production.👌🏻wanna try it.
Hi Ang! My husband and I love lavender and RC if we’re a little congested or have a cold I love Copiaba in tea just hot water with a drop or two of Copiaba and a drop of honey so good! Panaway is great in my opinion for an over worked muscle from gym class And cinnamon bark in baking Lemon in my water And THIEVES!’ For immunity and cleaning 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️thanks for sharing your “ oily” journey
Do you mind elaborating on how much of each oil goes into the muscle rub roller you were talking about. Do you add coconut oil or is it just peppermint, stress away and panaway alone?
I have to admit that I was skeptical about essentials oils. Until I had a full fledge migraine, and someone gave me a drop of peppermint to rub on my head and neck. Within minutes, it was totally gone, which is something no pain killer has been able to do. I am totally sold. Lavender is amazing as well. I'm still learning, but this stuff is great!
I love the pillow cases of the cushions you are sitting next to in this video. May I ask where you found them? That seems to be a hard color for me to find. I'd love a tip for where to find them. Thanks. I love your nail polish too. :-)
Yay I have been waiting for this!! I’m new to oils. Do you happen to use a humidifier? I’ve heard it does wonders for your skin and the dry air in he apartment I’m considering purchasing one but I don’t want to spend the money if it’s not worth the hype
I loved the video! I am excited to try essential oils in the future especially when I am pregnant. I would love to see a video with baby friendly oils and pregnancy friendly oils.
YES!! I'm so happy you got into Young Living!! I've been commenting and praying that for you guys for a few years now as I've seen some of the different posts and blogs you've put out about different health or emotional struggles because I knew they'd be great for ya'll! Thanks for sharing!!
I love that your promoting oils! Everyone should be using young living oils! Life changers. Digize is such an intense smell haha that i use the kid version tummy gize and add a roller top to it. It's awesome for upset tummy, bloating, cramps, etc!
@@Tmandd Actually, DO NOT do that. Some oils can be dangerous to healthy adults and even life threatening to infants. It is NOT a good idea to just drink essential oils. I don't think it's a good idea to even use them. For some people, they feel it works, becauee they believe in it with no doubt, so the placebo effect takes place, making them think that it's doing wonders for them when it's really not.
Peppermint is good for you and settles your stomach I don't see why you can't take it if you choose to do so do not drink it you get the same effect if you smell it just remember it's all in your head
They are technically both the same oils, but the label had to change because of (FDA??) labeling regulations. However, I personally don't encourage causal ingestion.
Can you please share some of the kid friendly essential oils. My little man is teething and I’m going to start trying the copaiba like you said, and I would also like to see what other oils could help him with how he’s feeling. Thank you so much for your help
None of these oils have any actual medical value. They have a nice scent. That's about it. Young Living salespeople make false therapeutic claims in order to generate more sales. Young Living is known for this. The founder, Donald Gary Young, was convicted of practicing medicine without a license.
I'm so excited about this video! Trying to learn more...i would love to know the list of top 10s for you, Matt, and MacKenlee...individually. Thanks for always keeping it real and sharing your knowledge!
Curious because I've heard that Raven is a "hot oil" and that is should be used topically on children? Is their a safe dilution to carrier oil that I don't know about? Would love to know bc my little girl is super congested right now! Thanks!
I have sooo many questions about essential oils. We have a SAge (brand of oil) where I live which is suppose to be really good. But I hear so many contradicting opinions about them. Ex. Not to use with kids under 2. always have a Window cracked. What is safe and unsafe to use on their skin. I’m just not educated enough and want to know more.
Can you "overdose" on oils? Are there different guidelines to follow for using them on babies? Are there certain oils that you shouldn't use on babies?
@@anitalynn19 i confirm! Yes, essential oil toxicity is a real thing. Yes. And not all essential oils are safe for babies (even though they may be found in essential oil baby lines)
So do these actually work? I've watched tons of Anti-MLMS and all of them are about essential oils and how they are a scam. I've seen people say the oils cure autism and cancer (Ik it's not true). Just asking because I'm really curious
YES!! I've been using them for 5 years and they totally changed my life. I wouldn't keep purchasing them if they didn't make a difference but I have a monthly subscription box to Young Living products because of how much I love them. Because plant cells are so similar to humans, the oils work on a cellular level, promoting healing and holistic wellness rather than just treating symptoms
You said to let you know, so yeah you should totally do tons more videos on everything oily, your favorites how you use them, how you make different diys (if you do that). This is weird but I could watch you all day lol! You would be so so good in Bravo's Real Housewives franchise. Your so pretty, got crazy style (not literally crazy, but lots of style lol), and I like the way you talk too.
Angela, I am a huge fan of the podcast and your channel, so what I am about to say, I say in love and not as a hater. I got on the oil band wagon about two years ago but then I got really frustrated with all the uneducated posts about oils. For instance many oils are considered “hot” and should not be put directly on skin. Also there is not enough research about effects of and proper use of oils for babies and children and that is something I would never, ever mess with. I am a Christian too so I believe everything we have on this earth can be used and steward well for our bodies and family but I don’t ever want to ill advise someone about using oils, especially on an infant when we don’t know the long term effects. Again, I am saying this out of concern and love. I am not at all hating. I just think we have to do our research and make the best decisions. When you have a platform where hundreds and thousands of people are going to listen to what you are doing, please be careful about what you suggest. All the best to you and your sweet family (:
I'm a little confused by something. You said that you don't want to ingest the oils because you're breastfeeding and you don't want your daughter to pick it up through the breast milk. But then you're lathering her in these oils, which is no doubt causing her to absorb and ingest a lot of them already, and constantly use diffusers around your home? Also, quick question. Have you taken your babe to see a doctor about those breathing problems? I hope she's okay.
Did you use essential oils during labor? Curious to which ones you used! I am most definitely bring, stress away, joy, lavender, and panaway but curious which other ones you would recommend.
I love young living oils! I have a carrying case filled with oils! Seriously I only have like 3 spots that are empty! I use so many of them for cleaning and diffusing as well as just topically. I’m with you on Thieves for when you feel like you’re coming down with something. I nanny an elementary school aged kid and it seems there’s always something going around at the school and I feel like I’ve definitely dodged a lot of the sickness going on by using it. I have some of those roller bottles that are empty and I am totally going to make that muscle rub! I would definitely like to see another video with both yours and Matt’s favorite oils, I love seeing what people use the most and how they use it, it gives me ideas for mine as well!
Angela Lanter THIEVES!!! For all the things! I probably use lavender every day as well. I diffuse the citrus fresh or the lemon almost every day too to get some more energy. And I really love the smell of peppermint so I’ll apply that topically if I start feeling stressed out. Or the lavender. I started using lavender and gentle baby and Joy as perfumes too and just dab a little on my wrists. Also, I know Christmas is over but for the entire Christmas season I’ve diffused Christmas spirit and it smells soooo good!
You definitely don't know that Peppermint and Eucalyptus globulus or radiata are known to possibly slow the breath of young children under 6!! Some say under 3, but I wouldn't risk with that! Instead, you can use spearmint and Eucalyptus dives with are safe for the little ones! 😎
Essential oils are potent; that’s why you hear so much about carrier oils and dilution percentages. But in water - just like in the bath - essential oils don’t get diluted at all. And when they’re not diluted, essential oils can be very irritating as they travel through the mouth, esophagus and stomach. Research has concluded that ingesting essential oils should be done in a vegetable capsule or gelatin capsule in order to prevent irritation of the digestive lining. Oils are commonly labeled ‘therapeutic grade.’ The definition of what that means varies widely because no accepted standard exists and no independent group tests for quality. Some are called ‘dietary’ oils. Is there a difference between ‘dietary’ lemon and regular lemon essential oil? No, there’s not. It’s the same oil with a different label. There is nothing inherently special about dietary oils or oils with nutrition labels that makes them ‘safer’ to ingest than other brands.
If you're still buying after a year, you're already suckered in. At that point, they know you'll pay full price. Plus, it creates urgency for you to place a massive order right before your discount expires, so you end up with as giant of an unsaleable stockpile as possible (and they make as much money off you as possible).
Baby friendly oils & recipes!!! That would be so helpful. I have the starter kit and use theives for cleaning everyday! I’m in deep rn, ready to start making my own products
Another use for essential oils is when you’re pouring water in your iron for steam ironing, put about 2 drops of your favorite oil in the water. Your clothes will smell sooooo good!! Thank me later. ❤️
I just started using oils about 2 weeks ago from listening to you talk about them. My son had a bad cold which my husband started first. My son is 26 and just found his first job after graduating college. He is saving money so that he can find his own apartment. Anyway we went to a natural food store looking for oils and asking a lot of questions and came home with eucalyptus oil and peppermint and they really helped him breathe again. I also bought 2 diffusers .
