It is very much the same but does require a shrinker stretcher . Tip the edge 10° then shrinke/stretch it back to shape, then tip some more and repeat.
In New Zealand I have to use 5005 since we can't easily get 3003 here either. I'll have to try the tungsten burr to grind back the welds. I have been using 2 inch Roloc flap sanding discs which works pretty well. My welds are somewhat lumpy since I gas weld and weld on both sides so lots of grinding. I've just worked out how to improve my welding technique so I need less filler so less grinding.
