At the start of the year I asked for what you all wanted to here more about and here is the first video addressing what I have heard so far. There are lots of tools involved in making a guitar and in this video I am running down the list of what I consider the most essential of the tools in my shop. These are the tools, both obvious and not so obvious that I would feel hard pressed to give up. I am of course mostly doing things by hand, but I think that many of these tools would be important residents of any guitar shop.
As I said, there are a lot of tools and this is aiming to be a fairly comprehensive rundown so it is a long one. That means two things. One, I am putting an index below so you can navigate through a little easier. Two, it brings to mind one of the most essential tools of guitar making, patience. If it takes a while to find just the info you want on this video it took me ten times as long to make it.
Thanks, as always, for watching. If you enjoyed this video, please hit the like button and consider subscribing to my channel. You will get notified when I post new videos (and I have certainly got more in mind to post) and you will be helping me to reach a wider youtube audience. You can see some of my completed work on my website, www.queencityguitars.com . Navigate to the workshops page if you are interested in individual instruction in guitar building. Last, I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider making a small contribution towards the production of future videos. I enjoy making and sharing these, but it does take a lot of work. If you find them useful, a small contribution can help ensure I am able to make more in the future. paypal.me/QueenCityGuitars . Thanks for watching (and reading this far)!
