I'm sure that Trans-Magnetic Stimulation might work for some people. It's a much better alternative to Electro-Convulsive Treatment (ECT). It's only come into use in the past few years in my area of Australia. Sounds a lot less risky than ECT- which is pretty much a stab-in-the-dark type of treatment. In ECT they might aim the treatment at certain areas of the brain but they have no idea what is responding nor why. For me, ECT pushed me over the edge. I was almost a zombie for the next 8 months of my life. I've been left with a whole load of brain 'injury' type problems after it (about 5-6 years ago). My taste buds went haywire; memory is erased permanently for parts of my life; and I had problems with standing and walking (falling over a lot and falling out of bed) as well as lots of hand tremors. My doctor (psychiatrist) kept assuring me that each of these problems would be temporary. Five years later and all symptoms have only become worse. I'm a musician and was a school music teacher for 28 years before ECT. Now I can't function well, work or play any instruments. I'll keep looking for solutions online. There must be some way to strengthen the muscles near my hands to get some improvement.

I have essential tremor of the head. I have noticed my sense of smell is changing. Is this a symptom of essential tremor. I will notice odors that people with me do not.

I have both these tremmors, and so many other symptoms that keep coming as knew ones even after 8 years plus very random also

I have been taking Primidone for a while now.

I don’t mind the slight tremors on my hand but it’s a big turn off for women I try to date. I may be single for the rest of my life 😕
