Beautiful! As a child, I'd play dress up in my grandmother's beautiful costume jewelry - she had so many grand earrings (most like those unmarked amber clip-ons that you show). I looooooved her jewelry. Years later, she said "I never wear it, so the neighbor kid repurposed it into 'art.'" They had pulled off all the backs and glued it onto fabric-covered cardboard into a tree shape. I was aghast and appalled! It looked so cheesy to me (though I've since seen many of those on eBay, so it must be a thing). I was determined that someday I'd inherit that jewelry 'tree art' and repair those earrings. But, alas, when Grandma died, the jewelry tree disappeared. All those beautiful pieces, gone forever. I try to find similar pieces from memory, but haven't had much luck. Your videos are so nice to watch and bring me happy nostalgia. 😍
Thank you for sharing that memory! Sad to hear her jewelry was lost. I’ve seen a lot of people making “art” from vintage pieces recently where things have been glued and damaged. I make a brooch tree every year for Christmas- but the brooches are simply hung from a small tree with thread and then safely but back into their jewelry box after. There are ways to display them without destroying them! ❤️❤️❤️ I hope you are able to find a few pieces that remind you of hers. Thank you for watching!!
Where do you live that you found such an awesome vintage store? Also, do you mind counting how many pairs of earrings you got for $40? I’m curious how much your cost ended up being per earring pair. What a fantastic haul for only $40. You were definitely in the right place at the right time. Can’t wait to see the broaches. I better get my sunglasses ready for all that bling.
Thanks for watching! I live in mid- Michigan- in a semi small town. I don't always find such great deals though! This one was special. I just counted and I came up with 96 pairs or earrings- that includes the 14k gold pair I shared in the last video. So that comes out to about 41 cents per pair- ish? ❤️❤️❤️
@@LittleBlueJewelryBox OMG!!! That is absolutely insane!! 37 cents per pair!!! What’s even more crazy is that all the earrings were high such quality stunning earrings!! There’s nothing else I can say except congratulations! Can’t wait to see the brooches. :)
