Really enjoy your channel. You always make it interesting. I can see why the store is changing. The cost in time and money is no longer necessary. You can do so much on your own without it. Either way you always succeed. I totally support your decision. You made the a reasonable choice - to sell - you always have a good reason. Here’s to your happiness and continued success 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It’s your life Alexander! You can choose to change it any way you see fit and no one can comment negatively unless they are you because this life and these changes belong only to you and your family and no one else unless they live inside you!!!!!! Lol keep yo the good work!!!!!
Alex, My Hubby & I look forward to watching your videos & have been enjoying the house build. We are excited to see what your future holds. Enjoy these times with your family while you're able to. You can always do antiquing & various other things, but you never get a 2nd chance with your family. Hope you, Melissa & the kids enjoy the rest of your life. We'll still be tuning in to watch. 😊
I am so used to the intro that I didn't even notice Alex had edited it to remove the store until I saw it in other comments. So smoothly done that it really din't change the flow. I was really surprised by yesterday's announcement, but like so many others I wish him and his family well.
Such fun finds! Love the hot wheels and monster guys! That old suitcase, can totally see that in an old car! Love the sewing machine! That clock will look great in your garage!
That Chuck Wagon reminds me of when I was a little kid - back 100 years ago 😁 (early 70's) There were commercials for the dog food, Gravy Train that had a tiny Chuck wagon and tiny horses that would run around the floor when the dog was fed. It came right out of the bag!! We had a dog, Martha. When my parents feed her, I could never figure out why we didn't have the tiny horses like the commercial showed. My Mom would laugh when I asked and tell me it was special just for the commercials 😉
My sweet mother bought a Singer Sew Handy electric sewing machine for me when I was 8 years old. That was 60 years ago and I still have it. It's the most amazing Christmas gift from Santa that I ever got!
How ironic that you close this "collectible" portion of your life with the same item that started you out in this road - A top hat! Life can be so poetic sometimes. Looking forward to your new adventures.
Oh my gosh, that tv is awesome! That would look cool in your basement. The clock would look good in your garage. As a young child I wanted hot wheel cars, I was never allowed as they were boys toys. My friend had some and we always built roads and houses for the cars.
Alex...that is one I would repair and keep for your personal garage so you are always on time for family things while you are working on your current project in your new awesome home project garage..js
Have enjoyed your channel so much. Often wondered how busy, busy, busy you are and how you kept going!! Wishing you and Melissa and your children all good things as you move on to new adventures. Hope you will take Austin's gift of the beautiful stained glass window with you!
I like your clock too! The first thing is I'd want to protect the outer neon ring from damage, especially in a garage with power and air tools. Maybe a nice plexi domed frame would compliment it as well as protect it.
Nice shopping trip! I still have my Matchboxes in two cases that I received as birthday and Christmas presents up until perhaps 1972. I think the last one I received was a Hoovercraft. They are here with me. I will be 61 years old on Pearl Habor Day 2022.
I had all of the Johnny West figures, and most of the accessories, when I was a kid! Whenever you show them in your videos, they trigger a lot of memories. Thanks for always putting a smile on my face.
My husband and I enjoy your videos and are regular watchers. We'll be continuing to watch as you start the next step of your journey going forward. All the very best to you and your family.
Good to hear you enthusiastic about finds. The Federal republic of Germany started in 1949, The British zone had the Volkswagen factory and the British were not interested in it.
Good morning!!! Yesterday was a bummer.... Glad ur still with us...... Not sure if u realize,,, ur one of the BEST.....!!!! ur still dealing with nasty weather n I'm enjoying 70s n 80s.... Nashville GA.....
We are glad to see you spend more time with your family and change is hard but you made the right one. The last two years has been hard on every one even us, I lost my mom to covid last March 29th she was only 72 and it been hard for us. I still have my Old match box and hot wheels collection I will sell to you only .Just trying to plan how to do it, from Washington State to Edmonton . I have other old toys too. This could build your collection of hotwheels again. I'm selling of fmy toys to save for a small Rv to retire and see the country, my moms wishes for me. God Bless
I love your channel so much! Thank you! Was a little bummed today because you got a JANE WEST DOLL and didn't bring her out of the Box. I adored that doll and haven't seen her since I got mine in 70's. (Or whenever i stopped playing with her)Lol!! I miss her and all her cool stuff. 🤠 Who knows what happened to her! Be safe!
Hiya Alex! I have tò tell you that you lòoked a bit more relaxed in this video and l hope you continue on in that state of being! My little sister had Jihnny West and he rode a brown horse with a black mane. I had a Jane West doll that wore a turqouis colored blouse and pamts with a hat, vest and boots that matched the palamino horse l got with her. Pretty cool memories you gifted me with this morning Alex, thank you for that! Take care everyone! Peace...♥︎
I see you made the changes to the intro. I enjoy watching you, Alex. I am glad you are making good changes for you and your family. Taking care of yourself is so necessary for "full" health. Bless you and your family. Your unboxing of treasures was fun to watch.
I have a child’s sewing machine but mine is Casige with the British Zone on it. Mine has a clamp and also something that looks like an Allen key? Not sure what its used for. Thank you for the added info. Enjoying.
I started collecting metal toy sewing machines in the early 1970’s and own a number of Casige machines. The one you have has a beautiful decoration, different than any in my collection. Great find as is that neat old t.v. So many RU-vid videos are mid century decorators. Goes well with Pyrex. 🤣 I also loved all the cars. Lastly, I have too many clocks to count (not vintage) and that one you found is beautiful. Love to see the neon when it’s repaired as it would look spectacular in your new garage.
Alex, I enjoy watching your channel and being part of the group. Another RU-vid I enjoy watching is Salvage Hunters with Drew Pritchard. Not only is it exciting to see what he finds to buy or just admire, but a lot of the items need restoration which might be done in the same video. There are companion videos of just restoration. Anyway, you might enjoy doing something like he does.
I was aware of Johnny and Jane West because I had Jane and her horse and accessories, but I don't remember ever hearing about the other kits you found.
My brother and I had Jane and Johnny and their horses, Flame and Thunderbolt. I never knew there were any other figures but we had moved from the Los Angeles area to a small town on the Oregon coast where we had very limited television and few stores.
I would love to see the whole sailboat picture we got a peak of in the background. I think it looks like a painting we had hanging in the house when I was a kid. I always loved it and don't know what happened to it. I'm curious who painted it.
Hey Alex, I had one of those Leather suit cases its strange as the handle was broken when I received it as well. But just last year it didn’t seem to move on my site so I put it on Market Place & had a buyer in the same week. I’m not sure what price you would sell it for but the buyer came around to $60. Did I do ok on that ? Cool Hot Wheels I had a miniature collection of old vintage classics - model T, Daimler, Rolls Royce & Cadillac Sold for $125 I was pleased about that. I just wanted to get into buying old furniture & finally fixing up a really sweet table & chairs. But now just selling stuff from odd boxes from an old barn that sells Antiques & some stuff they added which was quite modern - BBQ tools Brand New. I expect they will move come summer.
Very cool, old TV. An antique mall near me, has a few that are similar, and they show "The Three Stooges" on them all day. I'm not sure how they hooked it all up to do that, but it's cool.
