I had a California Special... Acapulco Blue with a white vinyl top, turquoise interior. LOVED that car. Had to sell it to pay for the divorce. The car was more reliable and handsome than the man. 20 years later I still miss her.

OMG - I had a '68 Mustang when I was young. Just a plain old coupe, but I did love that car. Our neighbor had a '67 in that color. It's an original color, and any Mustang collector will love it, even if it has to "grow" on you. My heart is aflutter with nostalgia.

A little old local lady had a blue stripe on white Calfornia Special that all of us guys used to drool over and hope she'd sell. Another friend had an all original Shelby Mustang and it was a beautiful car!

My first car was a 1971 Ford Maverick…white with oxblood top. It had the largest V8 engine they could fit in it, and was a dream of a car to drive. I miss that car to this day, and will likely never find an equal for her.🖤🇨🇦

My home. I remember this car in Southern California. My cousins had one and made it beach ready...drag racing was or thing. Love it. Thank you for sharing this. Lotta good memories. The cousin who owned it committed suicide eventually so this is why I went nostalgic on this.

As a gal who was born the year of the Mustang ('64), I think your '68 is a beaut! The smile on your face, while driving it, says it all. It's a real life version of a hot wheel and you even got to touch it up like you do them :)

My cousin had a 1968 mustang convertible. She was about 10 years older than me. She was beautiful and kind. I remember one summer when she drove this car out to visit my family. We lived about 200 miles away. We lived in a very small town and she drove us to the dairy queen. I was so proud!!!

I love my Mustang convertible. I bought it new in 1999 and it's the 50th anniversary special. It has never spent a night outside, always been protected in my garage. It still looks like brand new and only has 145,000 miles on it. The mechanics at the oil change shop are always trying to buy it from me. Not to bad for a 23 year old car!

Janice, 12 years ago we bought our then 15 yo daughter a 1999 Mustang convertible. It had been owned by an adult and was in great shape with only around 85, 0000. She drove it for 5 years and passed it down to her brother. Both kids are now grown and have newer vehicles, but we kept the Mustang for our fun car. It’s still in great shape, all original, and only 133,000 miles. And like you, people offer to buy it, but I’m not ready to let it go yet!

Alexander, you were my anxiety relief this morning. I’m a mobile vendor at music Festivals and I woke up this morning just crippled with anxiety. So I pulled up my favorite RU-vid pages and what do I find but a video about my favorite car since I was a tiny girl. I love Mustangs. If I won the lottery I’d probably have five. Thank you for your fun video. And you have a wonderful day also!

I'm the author and expert of the 1968 GT/CS, and yes, Ford did send a handful of GT/CS Mustangs up to B.C. and Alberta (DSO B6, B7) when CA sales waned in May through July. 4118 total made, which includes 251 High Country Specials in CO. I owned one for 35 years and put 400K miles on it. I also did the histories of Little Red and Green Hornet; found here on YT as Barrett Jackson documentaries. The quarter windows are a bear to fix! LOL. Nice car! If it's a C code, it got plain hubcaps. GT caps for 302 J Code, 390 or 428CJ. Same pop off gas caps for all engine types. Thanks for posting this video!

He has the coolest High Country Special - a 428 car !You have great expertise thanks for sharing it on the forums and comments sections here 👍🏼😁 much appreciated 🤟🏻

When my uncle was in college he had a mustang that was a similar color of metallic green. He drove it for years until he hits deer when he was living in Virginia. He sold it to a guy that was going to restore it. As a kid I loved riding in it. It was a great little car.

That car would be a fabulous find in California, but originally sold and still in Canada is almost inconceivable. Considering that the C S was only built in San Jose for the California market, you may have a one of one! Congratulations, beautiful car in fantastic condition.

I was thinking you would forget to show us "under the hood". YOU DID NOT! Very cool. Nice 1968 Mustang!!! I guess the only, very slight, omission you could be accused of is to NOT have shown us the Porsche that was parked next to the Mustang. It's OK! I'm thinking you will do that when YOU are ready. Great video, nice job with the descriptions and have fun with the great car!!

It a fabulous car. Being brought up in the age of the muscle car has made me love ❤️ them all. But Carroll Shelby created such a coolness that couldn’t be done with the current Mustangs and others that can’t be duplicated. They were cars to get people to look. They weren’t sports cars, they were beefy and had a deep sexy sound when started. The damaged VW bus for that? You got the better end. People who watch your videos know how much restoration it was going to need.

Totally agree with what you said at the end about having classics that are nice enough to take to shows but not so nice that you take it on a trailer! When I had a classic car I loved to drive it, that’s the best part! As long as mine was good enough to be legal on the road, I was happy! Love the colour, by the way!

I had a 67 coupe in the 80's , not fancy but fun. Almost identical interior save the non safety 67 steering wheel, which looked better but was a spear i guess if you wrecked... Brings it back. 289, no air, no power steering, just mash and turn ! Wonderful car, you did very well selling the bus for a 4k production car with it's heritage.

Oh, Alex, what a beautiful trade! I graduated from high school in 1968 (ugh 54yrs ago!) This car brings back memories of the guys back then that would buy old cars and fix them up. My first car was a 1967 VW Beetle! How I loved here not flashy but practical. I even but flower stickers on her. I drove her for many years and a lot of memories! I began my senior year in September of 1967. I would love to go back in time with what I know now! Just love your videos and have been watching you since the Potter House! I am sooo happy that you and Melissa have your dream home and your children can enjoying it! Hugs and love from Northeast Pennsylvania

Nice!!!!!! I was mourning the loss of the Racoon Rolls, but your work and investment on that made you guys another step closer to your dream home. Now that you're in it, the RR isn't as big a loss as the house is a joy! Oh that garage!!! I can picture you out there working on cars in all sorts of weather - and if you run across another great bargain, I expect you'll swap one of your treasures to make that happen. You've really had some amazing vehicles; that little one that opened from the front was one of my faves. It's really fun to imagine them lovingly treasured by some lucky buyer. Since you drove it out, your driveway must be done, so Yay!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a really nice GT/CS, and that Seafoam Green is actually a great colour for one of these. Those little paint chips, if you have patience you can slowly build up the layers until the paint is slightly above the surface it should be, then wet send down just the small repair with 1500g, then 2000g, then a compound then polish, I have done that alot, just about can't see the repair, it's better than trying to match in a small area. But you need patience, about 3 days and just seand the repair so you need a small piece of sandpaper on an ear bud or something. Enjoy !
