im a huge fan of Elon and Spacex and I have been waiting for this for a along time and bought one with the Estes launch that is in the link on the page. Thanks for showing
It’s a cool rocket, but for the price i feel like it should a kit that you could build or detail. You could build it where the legs open and close. If I got this I would probably just put it up for looks. Cool rocket tho. I have the tandem x too
Thanks for watching! Cool to know you also have this F9 Model Rocket. I keep it in my office mounted vertically on the display stand that comes with it. Still considering flying it some time but don't want to lose it in a tree after launch.
Cool looking Rocket but I'm not spending $150.00 on a ready to fly rocket. Maybe if it was about 3' tall and I could assemble it myself. Love spaceX though.
The landers not being retractable and and the separation of stages not being possible (aside from the Dragon capsule) it's kinda of a let down. It could definitely be better. But it's still cool.
This is ridiculous! $149.00 for a beginners model Rocket, and a paltry 1/100 scale? It seems that EVERYONE seems to wish to push the little guy right out of life, and happiness. I MAY consider a 1/50 scale for that price.
What an over priced piece of Chinese plastic!!!! Really Estes, Has it come to this??? Sell it at that price for a 3in four foot tall builders kit!! Spend more time on the rocket and less time on the box please!!! Thanks for the review!! So glad I did not spend my money on this.
there are going to be some hefty Bernoulli losses having the motor that far up inside... I cant see that fincan lasting many flights... I would have liked to have seen how the motor fits in there. Maybe it doesnt sit as high as I imagine it does.
you could buy one of these and use a chewing gum style pi with neural network, connected to mipi multi camera and gyro w fin controllers which you would need to mod i guess.. i dunno 1% chance i even remember i suggested this.
What a scam. I started playing with model rockets at age 12, back in 1972. All my rockets, engines, and parts came from Estes Industries. I flew most of the kits from back in the day, then moved on to designing and building my own rockets and launch equipment. I still use Estes engines and a few other parts. It's sad that the company founded by Vern and Gleda Estes in 1961 would pull something like this. Even the 1:200 scale Saturn V is half that price.
