am i the only one who is worried about $4000 per month income? I am from india freelancers don't make that much here, my income is between $2000 to $3500 per month.
Hi Aditya, I can see that many people would be concerned with that. I think the govt is just trying to ensure that people who come on the visa can support themselves while there with the local cost-of-living but maybe they will take other things into consideration in the application. Definitely still apply and see! You can also still go with just your Indian passport for up to 90 days (if you weren't approved for the visa).

If you are already an EU citizen in another country, what visa do you need then as a Digital Nomad if you want to move within EU to another country and work online? and you do Not want to pay taxes in your own country...

The proof of income $4000 for each month. Does it mean that we need earn a monthly 4000 or just show it one time when we arrive in Estonia? And is running your dropshipping store considered to be a freelancer?
Hi Adnan, running a dropshipping store would allow you to qualify for the visa as a self-employed online business owner. The income would be $4k gross per month (before expenses) and you would submit it during the application process so you would know before you got there if you were approved
I would pick Turkey instead. Excellent weather, low cost of living, well developed and its super easy to get a resident card for a year no income requirments or hurdeles. The location is just perfect and you can be in Europe in just 2-3 hours.
Hi there! US citizens who stay in Estonia for 183 days or more I believe will have to pay income taxes in both Estonia and the US, but you should be able to deduct what you pay in Estonia. The FEIE would only be applicable to US taxes, so anything paid to Estonia would be separate. Thank you for explanation, Idea of such kind of visa is great. But I believe it's more proof of concept right now (September 2020) rather working procedure. A few days ago I was told in Embassy in Minsk that they don't accept documents for this particular visa anymore.

@@TravelingwithKristin Looks like there is correlation between ability to travel bacause of covid and visa application. I.e. person will be able to apply for a visa as soon and enter restrictions be removed.
Eventually, I moved to Lithuania with EU Blue Card program in December and become tax resident of LT. I think since September (now is Jan) nothing has been changed with covid restrictions and nomad visa.
OK, so does this apply to now? Are you able to get this visa and travel to Estonia/ EU now while tourists visas are currently restricted for Americans?

If you have no Estonian Embassy in your place you will have to go to the nearest embassy to apply. I wanted to apply for this but unfortunately my minimum monthly income doesn't meet the eligibility requirement. I wish they had either or option - like savings proof for last two years.
If i am working in a company from India , i am eligible to apply for that visa or only freelancer can apply for this visa. 1. if i am started import/export company in India. i am eligible to apply for this visa.

Is it all about gross income or gross profit before tax? Also, do I need to apply for separate short stay visa even after getting the digital nomad visa for other EU countries or can I travel only with my passport but subject to 90/180 rule?
You're so welcome! The income requirement is gross - correct! Then you can use your passport with the 90/180 day rule to travel to other countries in the EU, Schengen, and UK. Pretty good deal!

Glad you liked the video Jonathan 😊 I think the easiest way to go is with the digital nomad visa, then maybe he can find a company to sponsor him for a work permit because the visa is only for remote workers. But that’s one way to stay for a year. Otherwise to apply for jobs with Estonian companies
