I personally know people that condemns Christianity and God Jesus because of the eternal hell doctrine of unceasing torment. Like they are open to serving God who is love but also justice. But there's no justice in eternal torment for temporal sins. Like they won't even wish that for their enemies. This doctrine has made people's hearts grow angry at our God. It's all Satan's lies.

Thank you for your honest comment. That's actually why this study in the Bible is so important. Some people think that one way or the other they will continue living (in heaven, or in hell). But that is not true because only people who have Christ have life (1 John 5:11-13). Since the wicked will be forever separated from God, they will not be alive anymore at some point (2 Thessalonians 1:9). But you don't have to die forever my friend. Jesus gives you eternal life if you trust in Him and give yourself fully to Him. He loves you more than you know and wants to save you more than you want to save yourself. Put your faith in Him and let Him give you abundant life (John 10:10; 11:25).

God is gracious and willing to forgive. If we come to Him as we are, trusting in Christ's love and sacrifice for us, there is always hope. If we confess our sins to Him we receive forgiveness. Here's some Bible promises I really love: "7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:7-9 NKJV "He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy." Proverbs 28:13 NKJV "Who is a God like You, Pardoning iniquity And passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy." @crucified4me
@crucified4me 8 месяцев назад
Hi there, thank you so much for commenting. I know and have read those texts and parable many times. You can read all the texts where Jesus uses the expression "weeping and gnashing of teeth" and you won't find any reference saying that the weeping and gnashing of teeth is eternal. The text of Mark 9:48, where Jesus quotes an Old Testament passage, does not indicate eternal torment either. Here is the Old Testament reference: “And they shall go forth and look Upon the corpses of the men Who have transgressed against Me. For their worm does not die, And their fire is not quenched. They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.” Isaiah 66:24 NKJV Please notice it talks about corpses burning, not about people alive and burning. The fire destroys the corpses of dead people and the worms eat their dead flesh. Concerning the parable of the rich man and Lazarus it is “a parable” and the teaching intended by Jesus is very clear: A) Christ was showing that the common belief of that day and age that the rich are better than the poor in God's eyes was wrong (Matthew 19:23-25); B) Jesus was teaching that there is no second chance after death. It is in this life that we form characters for eternity. If we continually neglect to help people in need who are near to us we reveal that our hearts are growing more insensitive to the love of God (Luke 16:26; John 5:42; 1 John 4:8); C) Jesus was teaching that we need to put our faith in Scripture more than apparitions and miracles (Luke 16:27-29); D) Jesus was teaching that when hearts are closed and hardened against the biblical gospel, not even the miracle of resurrection can convince them, which happened when Jesus raised an actual man named Lazarus (clear connection there) from the dead (Luke 16:30, 31; John 11:45-53). The purpose of the parable seems clear, and I believe the Bible gives more evidence that it has nothing to do with the state of the dead in the book of Isaiah: “Abraham does not know us” (Isaiah 63:16 - NASB / ESV). If the parable is read literally, then: 1) Heaven and hell are close enough so that the people in heaven can hear and see the people in hell while these are suffering, and the people in hell can talk to father Abraham; 2) In the afterlife, before the resurrection, while their physical bodies are turning into dust, the people in hell have fingers, eyes, and a tongue, and they suffer physically feeling thirst; 3) Heaven is Abraham's bosom. That's simply not real according to the rest of Scripture. And when Jesus spoke about a real Lazarus that really died, He said that Lazarus was sleeping when referring to his death (John 11:11-14). Also, when the true Lazarus comes back to life, we have no record of him sharing anything about his experience in death. Scripture is silent there and I think that’s a good lesson. Jesus clearly taught that in hell both soul and body are destroyed (Matthew 10:28). I do believe the wicked will suffer in the lake of fire each according to his/her works, just as the Bible teaches. But eventually there will be no more death, pain, suffering, etc (Revelation 20:7-15; 21:4). Peace to you.

@@crucified4me Everlasting Punishment is an ongoing thing… not a one time event. Punishment is suffering, pain. Eternal is: having infinite duration : EVERLASTING eternal damnation. Hence: Eternal Punishment means Eternal (Ongoing, persistent, never ending) (lasting forever; always existing (opposed to temporal). And: Punishment means The act of punishing someone or a way of punishing someone. Everlasting Destruction is also ongoing and not a one-time event. Everlasting means it won’t stop. (Having infinite duration : EVERLASTING eternal damnation). Destruction means: 1: The state or fact of being destroyed : RUIN 2: The action or process of destroying something. That brings us to the conclusion that Eternal Punishment can only be seen in this context according to Scripture. 2 Thessalonians 1:9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
@crucified4me
@crucified4me Год назад
@@knw397 how can we agree here? We can't my brother. Destruction means destruction, not what I or you want it to mean. The everlasting punishment is everlasting because death will be everlasting, no one will rise from the lake of fire which is the second death. Death itself will be put there, meaning that it will end. Sodom and Gomorrah are not burning now, even though they were condemned to "eternal fire" (Jude 7). The fire is eternal in the fact that it burned those cities forever, and they will never be rebuilt. Their wicked inhabitants will be raise in the resurrection of condemnation to receive their reward in the lake of fire (John 5:28, 29; Revelation 20). Malachi 4:1, 3; Psalm 37:10, 20, 38; 68:2; 73:27; 92:9; Ezekiel 28:19; Matthew 10:28; John 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 1:9 teach the destruction of the wicked and even Satan at the end. 1 Timothy 6:16 teaches that only God has immortality, so you and I can only receive eternal/immortal life by faith in Christ (John 3:16). The doctrine of the natural immortality of the soul is a deception.

@@crucified4me Please consider this from Matt Slick on his analysis. Study to show yourself approved. God bless. Conclusion on Annihilationism by Matt Slick | Conditional immortality: Conclusion on annihilationism. After spending about 250 hours or more reading books, articles, participating in discussion forums, having conversations, and examining God’s word, I have concluded that annihilationism (conditional immortality) is not the correct biblical position. I say this for several reasons. First, I did numerous extensive word studies of those terms the annihilationists stated either necessitate or imply annihilation. I also looked at a lot of verses they said prove conditionalism. I discovered the only verses that clearly indicated something is destroyed in the sense of nonexistence was of objects, never of people. I thought this was important because if annihilationism is true, I would expect to see a specific declaration saying so regarding people. I did not find it. Second, in my opinion, I found that annihilationists seemed to read their perspective into scriptures and did not allow for alternative explanations, i.e., Isaiah 66:23; Luke 16:19-31. However, when those alternative explanations were occasionally addressed, they were not done so very convincingly, or sometimes unfairly. In fact, many of the explanations were dismissive and incomplete. So, I found that their approach to Scripture routinely committed the fallacy of begging the question, which is assuming the position is true that you’re trying to prove. In my opinion, far too many of them were looking only for that evidence in Scripture that supports their position and ignoring or dismissing counter-evidence. Third, I think the annihilationists have a point regarding the use of the word immortality in relation to Christians and not unbelievers. However, I believe that they stopped their analysis too soon after they found what they wanted. God often uses words differently than we do, and knowing this I sought to find what God means by various words and phrases. An example is in 1 Tim. 6:16, where annihilationists say that it proves God alone has immortality. But, when we examine the context, we find the text implies that God the Father is the subject, not Jesus - because Jesus was seen. Yet the text speaks of the One who dwells in unapproachable light whom no man has seen or can see. We’ve seen Jesus. So, it seems to be speaking of the Father. But how does the Father alone having immortality relate to Jesus? See the issue? Sometimes, the annihilationists seem to stop short of sufficient examination. See the article, 1 Tim. 6:16, Annihilationism, and God alone has immortality as an example of their insufficient exegesis. Furthermore, Jesus said angels never die (Luke 20:36) yet the word “immortality” is not used in reference to them. I find this truth to undermine the conditionalist’s position. Fourth, I thought the way they defined certain terms revealed a strong bias and not an objective examination of Scripture. For example, in some verses that mentioned the word ‘death,’ it was ofter forced fed the definition of either soul sleep or nonexistence. I found this to be a problem since many scriptures imply the contrary when speaking of someone being dead (Gen. 2:17; John 5:25; Luke 15:24; Rom. 6:13; 11:15; Eph. 2:1, 3, 5; Col. 2:13). Fifth, conditionalists equate God’s eternal punishment with a person’s nonexistence. But this is difficult to maintain logically. For more information on the article Conditionalism and the challenge of conflating eternal punishment with non-existence Sixth, verses like Isaiah 66:24 with Mark 9:48, Matthew 25:46, Revelation 14:11, and Revelation 20:10 were, in my opinion, more naturally interpreted to support eternal conscious torment. I thought how the annihilationists dealt with these verses was forced and incorrect. They seemed to take a passage of scripture meant to illustrate something, extract a technically accurate subpoint within it, and then interpret the whole passage in light of that subpoint. It was evident to me that they were looking for a means to justify their assumption rather than letting the texts speak for themselves. Seventh, I encountered conditionalists who appeared to be more dedicated to defending annihilationism than in defending Christ, his work, and the necessity to spread the gospel. To me, when someone spends an excessive amount of time mastering a dogma that is not essential to the Christian faith, and then works hard to promote that dogma, that’s a concern. This was not the case with all of those who hold to conditional immortality. In fact, I would say it was the minority. But, it was there. Of course, my observation has no bearing on the truth or falsity of annihilationism. In all, I was not convinced by their argumentation. If anything, my belief in eternal conscious torment was strengthened after examining their teachings, positions, and Scriptures.

@@knw397 Thank you for taking the time of sharing with me something that you found useful and that you trust. I've read it twice to make sure I am not just dismissing some important evidence here that proves my position to be wrong. If the guy spent 250+ hours studying this he should have something solid to say. Unfortunately, I believe the author is accusing the opposite party of doing exactly what he is doing. Let's try to take his arguments one by one: 1 - He provides no verses, nor words. Kinda hard to answer to that one. So, I'll simply ask this: When the Bible says the wicked will burn and be turned to ashes in Malachi 4:1, 3, is it referring to objects, or people? When Paul says the wicked will be destroyed (2 Thessalonians 1:9), is he referring to objects, or people? When Jesus says that those who do not believe in Him will perish (John 3:16), is He referring to objects, or people? When the Bible says the wicked will melt like wax and perish in the presence of God (Psalm 68:2), is the psalmist talking about objects, or people? Sorry, but Matt Slick provides no evidence for his claims. Why is that? 2 - Okay, let's look at those two passages he quoted: Isaiah 66:23 -- Perhaps he made a mistake here and wanted to write Isaiah 66:24? Anyways, the context is the new earth, the saved worshiping God (v. 23), and the "corpses" of the wicked burning with fire that never ends (v. 24). Where do you see eternal suffering and immortality of the soul here? Please show me. Luke 16:19-31. Matt Slick accuses people like me of reading my position into the text. Okay, let's take it literally: A) Heaven and hell are close enough so that the people in heaven can hear and see the people in hell while these are suffering, and the people in hell can talk to father Abraham; B) In the afterlife, before the resurrection, while their physical bodies are turning into dust, the people in hell have fingers, eyes, and a tongue, and they suffer physically feeling thirst; C) Heaven is Abraham's bosom. If those are the main take aways of the parable for you, well, I can't force you to accept my convictions. For me, the main purpose of the "parable" is clear: A) Christ was showing that the common belief that the rich are better than the poor in God's eyes was wrong (Matthew 19:23-25); B) Jesus was teaching that there is no second chance after death (Luke 16:26); C) Jesus was teaching that we need to put our faith in Scripture more than apparitions and miracles (Luke 16:27-29); D) Jesus was teaching that when hearts are closed and hardened against the biblical gospel, not even the miracle of resurrection can convince them, which happened when Jesus raised a man named Lazarus (clear connection there) from the dead (Luke 16:30, 31; John 11:45-53). To me the purpose of the parable is clear, and it has nothing to do with the state of the dead. It's hard to believe that someone would argue that my position is unbiblical and dismissive of great evidence... But there are people that can say anything today. 3 - God alone has immortality and He gives immortality to His creatures (angels and humans). Where is the big argument here??? God is the fountain of life (Psalm 36:9), there's no life apart from God. In the beginning we were created immortal, but that immortality was conditional (Genesis 2:15-17). We needed to remain faithful to God in order to remain immortal (the Bible even gives a hint when talking about the tree of life -- Genesis 3:22). It's so clear, how can it be denied? Today, our immortality is also conditional, it rests on the condition of faith in Christ and His atoning work (John 3:16; 1 John 4:9). The creation of man is a good place to start studying this issue: Genesis 2:7 says that God formed man out of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being, or a living soul. The soul was not there before, it exists with the two components of dust and breath of life. But the soul, or life of a person, is mortal (Ezekiel 18:4), and not a separate entity from the body. That's just not biblical. I could go on here... 4 - Okay, let's look at those Scriptures which he says show that the word "death" means something else than "death": Genesis 2:17 - In that day a lamb did die as substitution for Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:21); pointing to the Lamb of God "slain from the foundation of the world" (Revelation 13:8; 1 Peter 1:20). I believe Adam and Eve started to die that day, and lost the glory of God (Romans 3:23), but they didn't really die that same day because an animal died in their place, pointing to the Son of God who had offered to take their place on the Cross. And that's the only reason why they had a time of probation given to them on this earth. John 5:25: PLEASE! Read the context. It's the resurrection day (John 5:28, 29); that Jesus says to be the "last day" (John 6:40). Matt Slick is doing exactly what he is accusing the opposite party of doing... SAD! Luke 15:24: Yes, death here doesn't really mean literal death, but spiritual death that occurs when we live in this world without God and hope... No issue here that proves any party wrong concerning the state of the dead. Romans 6:13; 11:15: Same as previous point ☝ Have you read all of these verses??? Ephesians 2:1, 3, 5; Colossians 2:13: Same ☝ Have you really thought this through before coping and sending it to me? I really love that verse you quoted: "Study to show yourself approved..." 5 - I don't know that article and by the weakness of what I'm reading I am sincerely not interested. 6 - Yes, some passages, if taken in an isolated way, and if you have been brought up believing, or taught to believe in eternal torment, seem to point to eternal suffering. But that's not how you study the Bible, is it?? We need to look seriously at the whole teaching of Scripture on a particular doctrine so we can, with the help of the Holy Spirit, understand what God is trying to show us. And the weight of evidence is not on eternal suffering, if you're honest. Furthermore, his accusation that we focus on a subpoint in those passages is false. Isaiah 66:24/Mark 9:48 - The word "corpses" is not a sub-point in the passage of Isaiah that Jesus quotes in Mark, since that's exactly what is burning. It's very different to have a corpse burning and an immaterial entity that still feels suffering. Matthew 25:46 - Everlasting punishment. I believe the Bible clearly shows this to be everlasting destruction (2 The 1:9). To what sub-point am I referring? Revelation 14:11 - "the smoke of their torment" is mentioned and not their torment. There's a clear allusion here to Isaiah 34:10. Read the chapter and context, it's taking about destruction. Still, connecting it with Revelation 20:10, you have your best case, when you are siding with everlasting torment. So lest's look at that: Revelation 20:10 - Again, this is clearly, in my opinion, the one verse in the Bible that can definitely be read as teaching everlasting torment. However, if you read it in its context, I believe it shows something different. Verse 9 says that fire from heaven "devoured" the wicked. That word meant to "eat up until it's finished." Search it up: "katesthió" Verses 13-15 also show that each will suffer according to his own works in the lake of fire, and that the lake of fire is the second death. 7 - My brother, I'm a Pastor. Today I was called to offer prayer for a lady who is in her last hours of life on earth. I did my best to point her and her family to Christ, to His mercy, forgiveness, Cross, soon coming, and to His salvation. I do that constantly. The only difference today was that this lady is not of my Church or denomination, nor is anyone in her family. They believe that when she dies, she will go straight to heaven. I believe that when she dies, if she is saved, her next conscientious thought will be the resurrection day, when she will see Jesus coming in the clouds of heaven, waking her up to a new, eternal life. I did not argue, or even mention the differences between our faith. Just read and spoke from Romans 8:31-39. If Matt Slick really spent 250+ hours studying this topic, he must have come across the work of another man, who is not of my denomination, and who is way better prepared to speak about this than he is. Take a look at one of his articles on the Journal of Evangelical Theological Society here 👉 www.etsjets.org/files/JETS-PDFs/27/27-3/27-3-pp325-334_JETS.pdf I have two books from him, one is huge but super in-depth: "The Fire That Consumes" amzn.to/3gBPgt7 and the last one a more condensed and updated version (super interesting and informative read): "Hell, A Final Word" by Edward Fudge amzn.to/3OG872z This last one you can buy for $5 used on Amazon. After the wicked suffer according to their works in the lake of fire, they eventually become nonexistent. To me that is the only reasonable explanation if we take into account everything the Bible says about the topic.

It is not true what this video says. The dead are conscious after death The wicked descend alive into Sheol Num. 16:30, “But if the Lord brings about an entirely new thing and the ground opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that is theirs, and they descend alive into Sheol, then you will understand that these men have spurned the Lord… 33 So they and all that belonged to them went down alive to Sheol, and the earth closed over them, and they perished from the midst of the assembly.” Cast to outer darkness with weeping and gnashing of teeth Matt. 8:12, “but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast out into the outer darkness; in that place, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Those cast into the fire suffer consciously Matt. 13:41-42, “The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire; in that place, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” See also, Matt. 13:50. Cast into a tormenting fire Rev. 14:9-11, “And another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or upon his hand, 10 he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 “And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” See also, Rev. 21:8. Thrown into the lake of Fire Rev. 20:10, “And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” Hell is a place of eternal fire and punishment Unquenchable Fire hell fire Matt. 3:12 “And His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Fiery Hell Matt. 5:22, “whoever shall say, ‘You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.” See also, Matt. 5:29, 30. Matt. 18:8-9, “And if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; it is better for you to enter life crippled or lame, than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the eternal fire. 9 “And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out, and throw it from you. It is better for you to enter life with one eye, than having two eyes, to be cast into the fiery hell.” Eternal Fire Matt. 25:41, “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels.” Eternal Punishment Matt. 25:46, “And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” The word “eternal” in both places is “aionios” which means 1) without beginning and end, that which always has been and always will be; 2) without beginning; 3) without end, never to cease, everlasting. The word “punishment” is the word “kolasis” and it means “to punish, with the implication of resulting severe suffering - ‘to punish, punishment.'”5 Eternal Fire Jude 7, “Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example, in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.” Thrown into the lake of Fire Rev. 20:10, “And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” Lake of Fire Rev. 20:15, “And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” Luke 16:19-31, Lazarus and the rich man In Luke 16:19-31 is the story of Lazarus and the rich man. Basically, Lazarus is a poor man who suffers during life. The rich man is, of course, rich. They both die. The rich man goes to Hades. Lazarus goes to Abraham’s bosom, another term for paradise. In Hades, the rich man lifts up his eyes and sees Lazarus far off. He cries out to Abraham and asks for mercy because he is in agony in flame. Abraham says no. Then the rich man asks if someone from the dead were to rise and go tell his brothers not to come to this terrible place. Abraham teaches him that that will not be done either. Some say that this is a parable. However, if it is, it is unique because no other parable actually names a person. It isn’t a story. It is history. It really happened. But many who believe in no consciousness after death will say it is still a parable. The question is then if it is a parable, what is it teaching? If hellfire is false and if self-awareness after death is also false, then Jesus is using false doctrines to teach the truth. Parables illustrate truth. If it is a parable, what does the consciousness after death symbolize? Also, what does the agony in flame symbolize? Are they not real? Of course, they are. Hell is a real place. It is not mere unconsciousness. It is not temporal. It is eternal torment. Perhaps that is why Jesus spoke more of hell than heaven and spent so much time warning people not to go there. After all, if people just stopped existing, why warn them? If it was temporal, they’d get out in a while. But if it were eternal and conscious, then the warning is strong. Jesus said, “And if your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out, and throw it from you; for it is better for you that one of the parts of your body perish, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off, and throw it from you; for it is better for you that one of the parts of your body perish, than for your whole body to go into hell,” (Matt. 5:29-30)..

@@letstalkbiblewithshun.s I'm sorry that you think this video is a lie. Please be careful not to call a lie to the Word of God, even if it challenges popular belief. The parable of the rich man and Lazarus is “a parable” and the teaching intended by Jesus is very clear: A) Christ was showing that the common belief that the rich are better than the poor in God's eyes was wrong (Matthew 19:23-25); B) Jesus was teaching that there is no second chance after death (Luke 16:26); C) Jesus was teaching that we need to put our faith in Scripture more than apparitions and miracles (Luke 16:27-29); D) Jesus was teaching that when hearts are closed and hardened against the biblical gospel, not even the miracle of resurrection can convince them, which happened when Jesus raised an actual man named Lazarus (clear connection there) from the dead (Luke 16:30, 31; John 11:45-53). 5:29-30)..””

@@knw397 thank you for your comment. I'm sure you are sincere and trying to do what you believe is the best for people by warning them against false doctrine. I need to do the same. I cannot accept just some parts of the Bible and ignore others, in order to please the crowd. In Numbers 16:33, that you quoted, the word Sheol simply means grave, like it is translated in other instances. They were buried alive, that's what the text is saying, and it even says "they perished." Please, be honest here. Matthew 8:12; 13:41, 42, 50; where Jesus mentions weeping and gnashing of teeth, describes suffering. I have no doubt that the wicked people will suffer in hell. According to the Bible the suffering will be in proportion to their works and the light they had (Revelation 20:12, 13; Luke 12:47, 48). They will burn for days and nights (Revelation 20:10). But eventually they will become smoke and ashes (Psalm 37:10, 20; Malachi 4:1-3). Revelation 14:11 speaks about the smoke of their torment, not their torment. It is the consequence that is emphasized, not the torment itself. Revelation 20:10 would be the one verse in the Bible that would agree with your views, if we did not have the preceding verse (9) that says they will be devoured, and the following verses that describe the lake of fire as the second death, where even death will be thrown and have an end (Revelation 20:9-15). When you read it in context it agrees with the rest of Scripture. Matthew 3:12; 25:41: The fire is eternal in its consequences, not in its duration. Jude 7 is there to teach you just that. The Bible says that the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah is an example of the final destruction of the wicked. Those cities really did literally burn with fire and brimstone but they are not burning now. The fire ended, but the consequences of the that fire are forever. Those cities were never raised again, just like the wicked will never be raised again. The parable of the rich man and Lazarus is a parable and the teaching intended by Jesus is very clear: A) Christ was showing that the common belief that the rich are better than the poor in God's eyes was wrong (Matthew 19:23-25); B) Jesus was teaching that there is no second chance after death (Luke 16:26); C) Jesus was teaching that we need to put our faith in Scripture more than apparitions and miracles (Luke 16:27-29); D) Jesus was teaching that when hearts are closed and hardened against the biblical gospel, not even the miracle of resurrection can convince them, which happened when Jesus raised a man named Lazarus (clear connection there) from the dead (Luke 16:30, 31; John 11:45-53). The purpose of the parable is clear, and it has nothing to do with the state of the dead. Besides, the Bible is clear: “Abraham does not know us” (Isaiah 63:16 - NASB / ESV). Matthew 5:29-30: That you quote in the end of your comment is a very serious warning. That I can agree with you. Jesus wants to save people from hell at all cost. But do you believe that Jesus was telling us to literally cut off our hands and pluck out our eyes? May the Lord Jesus Christ guide you with His Holy Spirit as you consider this matter in prayer and without prejudice.

Thank you for quoting this verse. Without Jesus no one will see life. The wrath of God abideth on him that does not believe the Son of God. He or she will "perish" (John 3:16). "He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son hath not life." 1 John 5:12 How can you believe that people will be alive without Christ in hell? Your belief basically says that God will allow sin to exist eternally. Think about it, pray about it. It's easy to believe what everyone else believes...

How can a good loving and merciful god sent their people to hell when they do some mistakes due to their bad circumstances

I believe God is just, merciful and loving. I believe that people who will end up being destroyed in the lake of fire will be there because they chose to reject His grace and mercy, not because of an arbitrary decision on the part of God. Jesus made no mistakes, committed no sin, and He payed for all of our sins, suffering the punishment for everybody on the Cross. Why do people reject God's love, forgiveness and power for a new life?

God doesn’t send people to hell for “some mistakes due to their bad circumstances.” Everyone who knows they themselves exist know God exists and that they should seek Him and find out what they should be doing.

@@animecoaldragon565 To make an argument for the existence of God, we must start by asking the right questions. We begin with the most basic metaphysical question: “Why do we have something rather than nothing at all?” This is the basic question of existence-why are we here; why is the earth here; why is the universe here rather than nothing? Commenting on this point, one theologian has said, “In one sense man does not ask the question about God, his very existence raises the question about God.” In considering this question, there are four possible answers to why we have something rather than nothing at all: 1. Reality is an illusion. 2. Reality is/was self-created. 3. Reality is self-existent (eternal). 4. Reality was created by something that is self-existent. So, which is the most plausible solution? Let’s begin with reality being simply an illusion, which is what a number of Eastern religions believe. This option was ruled out centuries ago by the philosopher Rene Descartes who is famous for the statement, “I think, therefore I am.” Descartes, a mathematician, argued that if he is thinking, then he must “be.” In other words, “I think, therefore I am not an illusion.” Illusions require something experiencing the illusion, and moreover, you cannot doubt the existence of yourself without proving your existence; it is a self-defeating argument. So the possibility of reality being an illusion is eliminated. Next is the option of reality being self-created. When we study philosophy, we learn of “analytically false” statements, which means they are false by definition. The possibility of reality being self-created is one of those types of statements for the simple reason that something cannot be prior to itself. If you created yourself, then you must have existed prior to you creating yourself, but that simply cannot be. In evolution this is sometimes referred to as “spontaneous generation” -something coming from nothing-a position that few, if any, reasonable people hold to anymore simply because you cannot get something from nothing. Even the atheist David Hume said, “I never asserted so absurd a proposition as that anything might arise without a cause.” Since something cannot come from nothing, the alternative of reality being self-created is ruled out. Now we are left with only two choices-an eternal reality or reality being created by something that is eternal: an eternal universe or an eternal Creator. The 18th-century theologian Jonathan Edwards summed up this crossroads: • Something exists. • Nothing cannot create something. • Therefore, a necessary and eternal “something” exists. Notice that we must go back to an eternal “something.” The atheist who derides the believer in God for believing in an eternal Creator must turn around and embrace an eternal universe; it is the only other door he can choose. But the question now is, where does the evidence lead? Does the evidence point to matter before mind or mind before matter? To date, all key scientific and philosophical evidence points away from an eternal universe and toward an eternal Creator. From a scientific standpoint, honest scientists admit the universe had a beginning, and whatever has a beginning is not eternal. In other words, whatever has a beginning has a cause, and if the universe had a beginning, it had a cause. The fact that the universe had a beginning is underscored by evidence such as the second law of thermodynamics, the radiation echo of the big bang discovered in the early 1900s, the fact that the universe is expanding and can be traced back to a singular beginning, and Einstein’s theory of relativity. All prove the universe is not eternal. Further, the laws that surround causation speak against the universe being the ultimate cause of all we know for this simple fact: an effect must resemble its cause. This being true, no atheist can explain how an impersonal, purposeless, meaningless, and amoral universe accidentally created beings (us) who are full of personality and obsessed with purpose, meaning, and morals. Such a thing, from a causation standpoint, completely refutes the idea of a natural universe birthing everything that exists. So in the end, the concept of an eternal universe is eliminated. Philosopher J. S. Mill (not a Christian) summed up where we have now come to: “It is self-evident that only Mind can create mind.” The only rational and reasonable conclusion is that an eternal Creator is the one who is responsible for reality as we know it. Or to put it in a logical set of statements: • Something exists. • You do not get something from nothing. • Therefore a necessary and eternal “something” exists. • The only two options are an eternal universe and an eternal Creator. • Science and philosophy have disproven the concept of an eternal universe. • Therefore, an eternal Creator exists. Former atheist Lee Strobel, who arrived at this end result many years ago, has commented, “Essentially, I realized that to stay an atheist, I would have to believe that nothing produces everything; non-life produces life; randomness produces fine-tuning; chaos produces information; unconsciousness produces consciousness; and non-reason produces reason. Those leaps of faith were simply too big for me to take, especially in light of the affirmative case for God’s existence … In other words, in my assessment the Christian worldview accounted for the totality of the evidence much better than the atheistic worldview.” An argument for the existence of God - knowing the Creator But the next question we must tackle is this: if an eternal Creator exists (and we have shown that He does), what kind of Creator is He? Can we infer things about Him from what He created? In other words, can we understand the cause by its effects? The answer to this is yes, we can, with the following characteristics being surmised: • He must be supernatural in nature (as He created time and space). • He must be powerful (exceedingly). • He must be eternal (self-existent). • He must be omnipresent (He created space and is not limited by it). • He must be timeless and changeless (He created time). • He must be immaterial because He transcends space/physical. • He must be personal (the impersonal cannot create personality). • He must be infinite and singular as you cannot have two infinites. • He must be diverse yet have unity as unity and diversity exist in nature. • He must be intelligent (supremely). Only cognitive being can produce cognitive being. • He must be purposeful as He deliberately created everything. • He must be moral (no moral law can be had without a giver). • He must be caring (or no moral laws would have been given). These things being true, we now ask if any religion in the world describes such a Creator. The answer to this is yes: the God of the Bible fits this profile perfectly. He is supernatural (Genesis 1:1), powerful (Jeremiah 32:17), eternal (Psalm 90:2), omnipresent (Psalm 139:7), timeless/changeless (Malachi 3:6), immaterial (John 4:24), personal (Genesis 3:9), necessary (Colossians 1:17), infinite/singular (Jeremiah 23:24, Deuteronomy 6:4), diverse yet with unity (Matthew 28:19), intelligent (Psalm 147:4-5), purposeful (Jeremiah 29:11), moral (Daniel 9:14), and caring (1 Peter 5:6-7).

Many verses in the Bible use the word "forever" in reference to things that eventually have an end (Exodus 21:6; Deuteronomy 15:17; 1 Samuel 1:22; 2 Chronicles 7:16). I do believe that Satan and his angels, along with the wicked, will suffer for long (days) according to their works (Revelation 20:13). Suffering will not be the same for everyone (Luke 12:47, 48), or God would not be fair. Eventually, all will perish and become ashes (Malachi 4:1, 3).

@@ballsack7692 Revelation 14:11 and 20:10 are definitely the best verses to support the idea of an eternal hell. I believe that those expressions in Revelation are there to show that the suffering will be real and terrible, in some cases lasting for days and nights until the sinner or demon is destroyed. That's the only way to reconcile so many passages that speak about the destruction of the wicked who will ultimate be turned into ashes (Malachi 4:1, 3; Psalm 37:10, 20; Psalms 2:9; Psalms 1:4; Psalms 68:2.......) I also believe that in Revelation 20:10-15 the context is clear in the sense that death itself will be destroyed in the lake of fire. Then why does it say the smoke of there torment shall go up forever and ever?
@crucified4me
@crucified4me 11 месяцев назад
Hi there, thank you for watching and for your important question. I believe you are referring to Revelation 14:11: "And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” This passage, along with Revelation 20:10, in my view, are the two passages in the whole Bible that apparently support more clearly the doctrine of eternal suffering in hell. However, a close study of these passages, their immediate context, and the overwhelming weight of Bible evidence on the topic of the final destination of the wicked, leave no doubts in my mind that the Bible does NOT teach eternal suffering in hell. Revelation 14:11 is a quotation from Isaiah 34, where the Bible speaks of the utter destruction of the enemies of God and of His people: "8 For it is the day of the Lord’s vengeance, The year of recompense for the cause of Zion. 9 Its streams shall be turned into pitch, And its dust into brimstone; Its land shall become burning pitch. 10 It shall not be quenched night or day; Its smoke shall ascend forever. From generation to generation it shall lie waste; No one shall pass through it forever and ever." Isaiah 34:8-10 NKJV The purpose of the language used is to signify eternal destruction, something that will not be raised up again. In Revelation the language seems to indicate continual suffering, and I do believe that the wicked will suffer according to their works (Revelation 20:12, 13), so it will be a punishment that will take time in proportion to the evil that they committed and the light they had (Luke 12:47, 48). But that suffering will have an end when the wicked eventually die. Many things in the Bible are said to be "forever," but in reality refer to the period while the person, or persons involved are alive (1 Samuel 1:22; Exodus 21:6; 2 Chronicles 7:16). In Revelation 20:10, even though the text says that the devil will be tormented forever and ever in the lake of fire, the previous verse says that the fire and brimstone that come from God "devoured" the wicked. So ultimately, they are destroyed. So that the reader does not have a wrong idea of the duration of the punishment as something immediate and too short, verse 10 gives us a picture of enduring suffering. However, the following verses in the Bible make it clear of what the end of the wicked is in the lake of fire, and even what the lake of fire really is: "13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:13-15 NKJV So the lake of fire "is the second death" and death is death, not some sort of disembodied life somewhere suffering forever. That would be a form of life, not death. The second death is final and no-one will ever be raised from it. Then in Revelation 21:4, we have a picture of the New Earth and New Heavens where no-one will ever be suffering again, so the wicked are gone, forever. Finally, in a more direct and succinct answer to your question, note that it is "the smoke of their torment" (meaning the consequence of their torment) and NOT their torment, that ascends forever and ever in Revelation 14:11. Concerning some of the passages that teach the final destruction of the wicked please consider Matthew 10:28; Psalms 37:10, 20; Malachi 4:1-3; Obadiah 16; Ezekiel 28:19. Blessings to you!

Paul wrote about the wicked in the end: "These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power" (2 Thessalonians 1:9). The Bible says that God is the source of life (Psalm 36:9), and even though sin separates us from Him (Isaiah 59:2), so we cannot see Him face to face while in this state of sin (Exodus 33:20), He is still the one sustaining the life of the wicked while they are alive (Daniel 5:23). So I believe that what Paul says in 2 Thessalonians 1:9 is very consistent with all of Scripture and he means just what he said, they will be separated from God and ultimately destroyed forever, since there can be no life without God. Revelation 22:15 contrasts the character of the people who are not allowed inside the New Jerusalem with those who can enter (verse 14). In my reading of Scripture it is clear that the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven after the millennium, the wicked are raised from the dead in the second resurrection (the righteous were already resurrected in the first resurrection at the second coming of Christ). The wicked are then deceived by Satan again and led to attack the New Jerusalem and the people of God. God interposes and destroys the wicked in the lake of fire giving to each one the just reward for their works (Revelation, chapters 20 and 21). Blessings!

Jesus said: 43 If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched- 44 where ‘Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched.’ Mark 9:43, 44 NKJV. He was quoting Isaiah, where the "corpses" of the wicked are being eaten by worms: 23 And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the Lord. 24 “And they shall go forth and look Upon the corpses of the men Who have transgressed against Me. For their worm does not die, And their fire is not quenched. They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.” Isaiah 66:23, 24 NKJV Traditionally, the "worms" are compared to the souls of the wicked being tormented and not dying. But the Bible and tradition are many times at odds. The Bible does not equate the "worms" to the disembodied human soul at all. Actually, Jesus said: "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28 NKJV. Thank you for your comment.

Hell as in Luke 16:19-31 is particularly described in Verse 23 as a place of eternal Torment /Punishment… as elsewhere in passages such as Isaiah 33:14 where punishment of the godless is described in terms of consuming fire and everlasting burning. This coincides with Matthew 3:12 of the Lord’s threshing floor where “the chaff” will be burned in unquenchable fire. Likewise in Isaiah 66:24 those who have transgressed against the Lord are going to be where the worm will not die and their fire will not be quenched. Matthew 5:22 Jesus calls this place of torment “fiery hell” or literally “Gehenna of fire”. Furthermore, in Verse 29, Jesus sternly warns of being thrown into hell. It’s a place as well as a condition. Such verses (and plenty more) all describe a very real destiny of eternal punishment reserved for the wicked and unrighteous, unredeemed sinner. Jesus doesn’t say anything to warn of going to an unconscious or unconcerned state of non-existence… Likewise, Jesus never once is warning sinners of their complete extermination. Annihilation therefore is just mere extinction, not punishment. It isn’t justice. Hell is Justice. It is the very just reality for those rejecting God’s loving and merciful presence. It is real, because without the grace and mercy of Christ’s sacrificial atonement for sins, there is not one redeeming value outside of this mercy - including the mercy of eternal extinction for the dead. Without the mercies of Heaven there is only the suffering of pitiful Hell. This is the reason Christ died for us and even preached to the spirits in prison who were once disobedient. Rev. 14:11 warns, hell is truly real and terrible: “And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night…” 20:10 “And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”.. 20:15 “And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”

Luke 16:23 is part of a parable, not a teaching on the state of the dead. Isaiah is clear that Abraham does not know us (Isaiah 63:16 NASB). The purpose of the parable is clear from the context and the conclusions: A) Christ was showing that the common belief that the rich are better than the poor in God's eyes was wrong (Matthew 19:23-25); B) Jesus was teaching that there is no second chance after death (Luke 16:26); C) Jesus was teaching that we need to put our faith in Scripture more than apparitions and miracles (Luke 16:27-29); D) Jesus was teaching that when hearts are closed and hardened against the biblical gospel, not even the miracle of resurrection can convince them, which happened when Jesus raised a man named Lazarus (clear connection there) from the dead (Luke 16:30, 31; John 11:45-53). Matthew 3:12 is well explained by Jude 7, the fire is "eternal" in its consequences, not in its duration. Isaiah 33:14 does not state that the everlasting burning and or consuming fire is punishing the wicked, it asks who among us can dwell with that fire, that is, in the presence of God. God is a consuming fire for the wicked and for sin. Consuming means that is consumes. Isaiah 66:24 speaks about the corpses of the wicked, please read it carefully. In Matthew 5:22, 29, Jesus does not state that hell is everlasting suffering. Gehenna of fire was the place where dead bodies were burned, among other things. Please read Matthew 10:28; Matthew 7:13; John 3:16. Jesus is clear about the wicked being destroyed. The justice revealed by God in the Bible is that each sinner will receive the suffering in proportion to his/her works (Matthew 16:27; Luke 12:47, 48; Revelation 20:12, 13). Not every sinner will suffer the same in the lake of fire, God is just. Revelation 14:11 and 20:10 are definitely the best verses to support your understanding of hell. But the Bible is clear in many other passages that the wicked will eventually perish and be no more. I believe that those expressions in Revelation are there to show that the suffering will be real and terrible, in some cases lasting for days and nights until the sinner or demon is destroyed. That's the only way to reconcile so many passages that speak about the destruction of the wicked who will ultimate be turned into ashes (Malachi 4:1, 3; Psalm 37:10, 20; Psalms 2:9; Psalms 1:4; Psalms 68:2.......) Thank you for your comment.

Hi there, thank you for your comment. Here's how I see it: true believers in Christ have eternal as a promise from God, who cannot lie (1 John 5:11-13; Titus 1:2). The idea that the human soul is naturally immortal is not biblical (Ezekiel 18:4), since the Bible teaches that only God has immortality (1 Timothy 6:16). We can have eternal life on the condition of believing in Christ (John 3:16). Physically and spiritually, eternal life is a gift of God. If your body is dead, then you are dead (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6). There's no eternal spiritual life for a human being without a body. That is why the hope of the gospel is presented as the resurrection of the dead at the second coming of Christ (John 5:28, 29; John 6:37-40), and not the transition of ours souls to heaven at the moment of one's death, as popular theology teaches. The parable of the rich man and Lazarus is, as indicated, a parable, not a teaching on the state of the dead. The thief on the Cross was not promised by Christ to go to heaven that same day, but he was promised that day that he would be in heaven eventually. Christ Himself did not go to heaven the day He died (John 20:17). Blessings!

And what is your conclusion then?
@johndalton1043
@johndalton1043 7 месяцев назад
@@crucified4me Good question. I believe there is prima facie support for all three views of Christian eschatology, depending on the lens with which we read scripture. For example, Rotherham and Young's Literal are both word for word translations where aion is never defined as eternal. For them aion is always defined as pertaining to an age. So when I read John 3:16 it is interesting because some Christians believe this passage is about eschatology. I do not. When I read John 3:16 it does not state everlasting life, but rather life age-during or life age-abiding. Viewed in this manner, it is the quality of life that is being emphasized. Those who believe will live a certain quality of life. Aion and its derivatives is also where we get the terms forever and ever or for ever more in the KJV. I feel like this is a really poor translation. For instance, forever defies pluralization in English. We cannot add "and more" or "and ever" to a word that means endless duration. A better translation is age, ages, age of ages, or ages of the ages. To make .matters more confusing the KJV defined aion as an age, but aionian (a derivative) as eternal. In other words, they gave the derivative more meaning than the noun from which it is derived. An example would be "hourly". Hourly is a derivative of the noun hour. We can expand the meaning if we said "hours", or "hour after hour after hour", but an hour is not a day, or a week, or a month, and certainly doesn't mean eternal. So I feel like aion is not defined accurately in many translations, and once it is, passages that appear to speak on eternity have more to do with here and now. In other words...aion is often defined as eternal and an age, (both) making the word its own antonym or opposite. If not defined properly, one could end up reading the exact opposite of what the author intended. When this happens, it is not the reading comprehension of the reader at risk. I mean...it's hard to read forever and ever and deduce anything other than eternal. Instead, it is highly doubtful aion ever means eternal, as we have yet to find even one example in antiquity where aion means eternal. That should be a massive red flag. Hope this helps and God bless!

@crucified4me
@crucified4me 11 месяцев назад
@@jatwangismyname900 Yes, you are correct. We do believe that Michael is a name for Jesus in the Bible. We do not make it a test of faith or anything like that. And we believe in the full divinity of Christ (John 10:30; John 1:1-3, 14; Romans 9:5; etc). But we see evidence in the Bible that Michael is one of the names for Jesus. Possibly His name when engaged with war with the devil... Here is why: Michael is called the Archangel (Arche-Angelos), meaning that He is the Commander of the Angels (Jude 9). One of the names of God in the Bible is "The Lord of Hosts" (Isaiah 6:3). God commands His angels, who are around His throne, ready to serve Him (Daniel 7:9, 10). In the Old Testament, when God appears to Moses, the Bible describes God at the burning bush both as: "The Angel of the Lord" and "God" at the same time (Exodus 3:2-4). When the "Commander of the Army of the Lord" appears to Joshua, He tells Joshua to take the sandals of his feet, just like God had told Moses in Exodus 3 (See: Joshua 5:13-15). I'm sure you know about Revelation 12, that describes Michael and His angels fighting against the devil and his rebellious angels (Revelation 12:7-9). Not even Gabriel could overcome the forces of darkness in Medo-Persia, but he needed Michael (Daniel 10). Meaning that Michael is the only one that can overcome Satan. When the Angel of the Lord appears to Manoah and his wife, again you see evidence that this was more than one of the regular angels of God, because this "Angel of the Lord" goes up to heaven in the flame of the sacrifice, an indication that He was the true sacrifice, the Lamb of God that one day would come to die for our sins (Judges 13:9-22; John 1:29). Jesus taught that His voice will raise up the dead at the last day, the day of the resurrection. It is Jesus Christ who raises the dead (John 5:28, 29; John 6:37-40; John 11:25). But the Bible shows that Moses was resurrected and that it was Michael, the Archangel, who contended with the devil for Moses' body (Jude 9). The Bible says that it is the voice of the Archangel that will raise the dead: "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first." 1 Thessalonians 4:16 NKJV So if it is the voice of Jesus that raises the dead, and the voice of the Archangel that raises the dead, Jesus and the Archangel are One and the same. In the book of Daniel, Michael is said to be the Great Prince, that stands for the people of God (Daniel 12:1). When He stands there is a time of trouble and guess what, resurrections happen... (Daniel 12:2). Michael comes from a Hebrew name meaning: "WHO IS LIKE GOD" After years of Bible study and prayer I believe the meaning of this name is at the heart of the great war between Christ and Satan. The devil wanted to usurp the place of Christ in heaven. Notice the words of Isaiah: 12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! 13 For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Isaiah 14:12-14 NKJV Did you notice that last sentence? Lucifer wanted to be "like God." Even though he is a created being, he wanted to ascend on high. Christ IS GOD, was sitting in the throne of God, but humbled Himself and become a Man to live the life we should have lived, and die for our sins (Philippians 2:5-11). Jesus is meek and humble in heart (Matthew 11:28-30). Satan is proud and sought to exalt himself. Jesus is the ONE who is like God, and truly God. Satan is a created being and very unlike God. When the devil tempted our first parents, he used the same allurement: "...you will be like God" (Genesis 3:5). Well, I could continue here... Preaching is my life 😄 Probably already gave you more than you wanted... I go into detail on the great war between Christ and Satan in the video below 👇if you're interested. Again, like I mentioned above (full disclosure), we believe in the full divinity of Christ and don't see Him or His position hindered in any way when we say that the Bible gives evidence that Michael is one of the biblical names for Jesus Christ. We were made to live, not die, so the idea of an immortal soul is something easy for humans to believe in, even though the Bible is clear that only God has immortality and we can have eternal life only through the grace of Christ (1 Timothy 6:16; John 3:16; 14:6). @@marcosazzi7788 No, I cannot say that. And just to clarify, I don't believe in eternal sleep, but eternal death for the wicked in the lake of fire, after they have each suffered according to his/her works (Revelation 20:7-15). There is a difference between sleep and death. When you sleep you may wake up. That is why Jesus and the apostles used the metaphor of sleep for the first death, because those who die in Christ will be raised back to life (John 11:11-14; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Those who die the second death in the lake of fire will never be raised back to life. Now more specifically to your comment, eternal death for the wicked after they have each suffered according to their works sounds way more just and way more according to the character of God who is both just and merciful, than eternal torment. Still, before you die, the perspective of loosing consciousness eternally and never exist again is something so dreadful that many (perhaps you included) easily prefer to believe in the natural immortality of the human soul, a concept nowhere taught in the Bible, and very much against the Bible. @crucified4me
@crucified4me 10 месяцев назад
Hi there, and thank you for your question. I don't believe people have actually died and gone to hell and then came back to tell us about it. Near death experiences are simply that, near death experiences and not real death experiences. Your brain will see what it believes to be true, just like we dream about things we dread or really love, or have strong emotions towards. I personally know an individual whose heart stop beating twice at different occasions for a considerable amount of time. On one of these occasions, one nurse asked him about what he had seen when he was "dead" since it took a while to revive him and she was a witness of the whole thing. He told her that he did not see anything. She asked him again, and he responded the same way. She got mad and told him that he was lying because he had died and for sure he had seen something and wouldn't tell. I know this guy well and have no reasons to believe that he is lying. So IMO if we base our belief on what people say we will be believing something different every time we speak to a different person. I prefer to trust what the Bibles says. When people die they know nothing (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6). The believers in Christ will be raised at the Second Coming, given new and immortal bodies, and go to heaven with Christ for 1,000 years (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15; John 5:28, 29). Sinners who reject the grace of God and end up in the lake of fire will go there after they are raised from the dead at the end of the Millennium and suffer according to their works for days and nights, a suffering that ultimately culminates in the second death (Revelation 20:7-15). The time will come when no one will be suffering anymore (Revelation 21:4). Blessings!

Hell is infinite in the sense that it will never end. Matthew 25:46, “And {the wicked} will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” The two words translated eternal above are from the same Greek word; aiōnion. It means “eternal” in both. By the way, if you say hell above is NOT eternal, do you also say eternal life above is NOT eternal? They are the same word in one verse. Revelation 14:9-11, “A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur…And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night..." By the way the word torment is translated from the Greek word "basanismou" and if you look in a Greek concordance it means torture, pain, torment. It does NOT mean annihilate.

Hi there and thank you for your comment. I am aware of the texts you have quoted and I believe in the inspiration of the whole Bible. Those who reject Christ will be eternally dead at some point. But I do agree that they suffer for days and nights, each according to their works (Revelation 20:9-15). Eventually, they will become ashes and nobody will be suffering anymore (Malachi 4:3; Psalms 37:10, 20; Revelation 20:4). That's how I see it at this point. Revelation 14:11, that you quoted, is an allusion to Isaiah 34:8-12 that speaks about utter destruction, not eternal suffering. Please note that the "smoke of their torment" not their torment, rises forever and ever. Whatever your views on hell, I pray you have correct views on Christ and salvation, and that we may meet on the new earth. Blessings!

Well I can't help but think to myself ,if forever, from a particular starting point something will never end and something or someone being eternal means they or it never began and never ends. The hell could not have been created buy God its existence is like God it never began and will never ends, and eternal death means all the dead have always be dead which does not make sense. Wait a minute now that I follow that logic then the people of eternal life have always been that way as well so they never had a threat of hell .

For lack of better wording, we Christians use the word "eternal" to mean both the existence of God (truly eternal without no beginning and no end), and the existence of the saved that once had a beginning but will live "eternally" in the future (some use the expressions "eternity past" and "eternity future"). Biblically, a more correct way of addressing the notion of God's eternity would be "the eternal present" (in French, the name of God in the Old Testament is rendered "Eternal" / "Eternal").

One can make it seem one way or the other but until one has entered, one only speculates with one’s own understanding and teachings which should be carefully proved with many scriptures, believing that one is correct because one likes that way, satan will be released after the 1000 year reign of Yeshua ha Messiach but not the false prophet so does that teach that the false prophet does not exist or just not allowed to be released?
@crucified4me
@crucified4me 9 месяцев назад
Hi there, and thank you for your comment. I believe that Revelation 19 describes the second coming of Christ, before the millennium. The fact that the beast and the false prophet are thrown into the lake of fire means that those powers are destroyed at the second coming of Christ. Notice that the humans ("the kings of the earth and their armies") are killed and not put in the lake of fire at that time (Revelation 19:19-21), meaning that they will still be raised from the dead and have their final punishment in the lake of fire after the millennium (Revelation 20:5-15). Notice also that Satan is not put in the lake of fire during the millennium but he is bound with a great chain and thrown into the bottomless pit. The Bible explains what that means when it says he can no longer deceive the nations (Revelation 20:1-3). See all the wicked are dead at that point, Jesus took the righteous with Him into heaven (John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17), so there is no one left for the devil to deceive. At the end of the 1,000 years he is released from his prison, meaning that the wicked are raised back to life and he has people to deceive again. He tempts them to attack the New Jerusalem that came down from heaven and that is when God intervenes and Satan, his angels and the wicked receive their final punishment in the lake of fire, each according to their works (Revelation 20).

Actually, if people would continue living in hell they would somehow continue their existence. The thought of eternal death is pretty scary when you think of it (as much as we can fathom). We were created to live eternally, but eternal life is conditional (John 3:16). The Bible is clear that each will suffer according to their works (Luke 12:47, 48; Revelation 20:12-15). So if we teach Scripture correctly, people will know that according to the amount of evil they do, they will suffer, unless they repent and surrender to Christ. There's actually many people who, being uncertain of what hell really is, think they will party there forever... Very skewed and unbiblical ideas going around...

10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Is not a prophet a individual? and isn't a individual a human?, please answer the question
@crucified4me
@crucified4me 2 месяца назад
If you study the greek of Revelation 20:10 you will find that it is saying that the devil and was cast where the beast and the false prophet were cast as well, it doesn't imply that they are still there after the millennium. In Revelation the false prophet is a symbol of a power in the end times, not an individual human being. Please consider the link between Revelation 13, where you have 3 main powers, the dragon, the beast rising out of the sea, and the beast rising out of the earth (that deceives people with great signs and tells them to make an image to the beast, and leads the world to worship the first beast) and Revelation 16:13, 14, where you have these 3 powers again, but the second beast is called "false prophet." Even if you don't accept this reasoning, again, please consider that Revelation 20:10 does NOT imply that the beast and the false prophet are still in the lake of fire after 1,000 years. Some translations give you a hint of this: and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. ESV And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. NIV and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. RSV The Adversary who had deceived them was hurled into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet were; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. CJB The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet were. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever. MEV If you're careful to observe you will see that make translations have the word "are" in italics, basically indicating that the word is not in the original. Hey, thanks for your comment. Here's what I answered to someone with a similar question 👇 "Revelation 14:11 and 20:10 are definitely the best verses to support the idea of an eternal hell. But the Bible is clear in many other passages that the wicked will eventually perish and be no more. I believe that those expressions in Revelation are there to show that the suffering will be real and terrible, in some cases lasting for days and nights until the sinner or demon is destroyed. The next chapter has promises that speak about a time where all suffering and death will be done away with in the new earth (Revelation 21:1-4)." See Matthew 10:28 I am preparing a full study on hell and will upload it to my YT channel as soon as it's ready... It will be a long one but I answer most of the objections against annihilationnism reading what the Bible teaches on hell from Genesis to Revelation. Blessings!

@crucified4me 4 месяца назад
I don't see "blackmailing" in the message of the Bible. God gave us life and sustains that life at every moment by His grace, even though humanity has fallen away from Him. He gave His Son to die for our sins so that we could have the opportunity to come back to Him and have a new life. He offers us eternal life in Christ, if we choose to accept Him as our Savior. Jesus payed for all of our sins in full. If we reject His grace and His death for us, as moral beings we are liable for the evil we have committed and will pay for it suffering according to our works in the end. Doesn't sound like blackmailing to me. Concerning the Bible "allows all religions (even atheists) to coexist" that's true in the sense that God forces no-one to worship Him. However the message of the Bible is clear that only in Christ can people be saved (John 14:6). Those who have an opportunity to know Him and reject His gospel are walking away from the source of life, meaning, they are walking towards death. That's how I see it. Peace!

I agree that there is a resurrection of condemnation (John 5:28, 29; Revelation 20). But the lake of fire will not be burning forever as many say. Revelation 14:11 is a quote from Isaiah 34, speaking of destruction, not eternal suffering. The smoke that rises up forever and ever is a symbol that what was destroyed (Edom in Isaiah, the wicked in Revelation) will never be raised again after the second death (Revelation 20:14, 15). @@mikemaffucci8513 The parable of the rich man and Lazarus (found in the passage you are mentioning) is “a parable” and the teaching intended by Jesus is very clear: A) Christ was showing that the common belief of that day and age that the rich are better than the poor in God's eyes was wrong (Matthew 19:23-25); B) Jesus was teaching that there is no second chance after death (Luke 16:26); C) Jesus was teaching that we need to put our faith in Scripture more than apparitions and miracles (Luke 16:27-29); D) Jesus was teaching that when hearts are closed and hardened against the biblical gospel, not even the miracle of resurrection can convince them, which happened when Jesus raised an actual man named Lazarus (clear connection there) from the dead (Luke 16:30, 31; John 11:45-53).

Hi, thank you for your comment. The word for "believe" in John 3:16 also means "to be faithful" in the greek (pistis). Jesus was clear that many that profess to follow Him will be lost exactly because they were practicing lawlessness (Matthew 7:21-23). James also said that even the demons believe and tremble but that is not the kind of faith that is required for salvation, since true faith will reveal itself in works of love and obedience (James 2; Ephesians 2:9-10). This is only possible when through the grace of Christ we become a new creation and God gives us a new heart (2 Corinthians 5:17; Psalm 51:10). So I understand your frustration and I agree that there is a lot of hypocrisy, double standards and contradictions in the Church, but that is no excuse for you and me. The God of the Bible is ready to help us. What others are, say and do is between them and God. When Peter asked Jesus about John, Jesus answered: "...what is that to you? You follow Me.” John 21:22 God bless you and keep you close to Jesus, is my honest prayer.

About your question, I believe the Bible teaches that the wicked people (the ones who reject the grace of God and do evil) will go to hell to be destroyed there forever, after they suffer each according to his or her works. They suffer for a while, more or less depending on what each one did evil, and then they die the "second death" which is final and total destruction.

Remember that the epistle to the Hebrews was written to jews converted to Christianity, who were in danger of abandoning the Christian faith because of persecution, and going back to Judaism. That is why the author emphasizes (among other things) Jesus as better than Moses, the New Covenant as better than the Old Covenant, the blood of Christ as better than the blood of animal sacrifices, and the blessings we receive under the gospel dispensation better than the blessings received even by the heroes of faith that came before us. If you have received the witness of the Holy Spirit concerning Christ, you have seen His power and grace, you have tasted "the powers of the age to come," having such a strong experience with God in Christ (these believers had lived through the Pentecost and witnessed the power of the Holy Spirit in a dramatic way) and then reject Him, you hardening your heart against repentance. The jewish leaders did the same. They had such great witness of the Holy Spirit in the works and words of Christ, but they rejected the witness of the Holy Spirit about Jesus and attributed His works to the power of Satan, thus they sinned against the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:24-32). If after seeing such great evidence of the truth and power of the Christian faith these jewish believers would fall back into Judaism, they would be in danger of sinning against the Holy Spirit. That's how I see it, there's definitely much more that can be said :) Blessings!

Nothing is fact, the Bible has likely been altered 100s of times by evil men and then translated although in its current form, id say evil will likely be extinguished for good. Seems more humane on the surface but who are we to call eternal suffering a "horrible" punishment. We can't comprehend the workings of God's mind or even eternity. Remember to stay unbiased and to be as logical as you possibly can be before hitting send.

John 3:16 is not translated properly in most popular English bibles because of how the translators dealt with the Greek word “aionios”. Aionios does not mean eternal it means age-abiding so believers in Christ will not perish into the age to come. They will die because in Adam all die but in the first resurrection to life, they will live again because in Christ, all are made alive. It is the wicked and unbelieving populations that will be perished into the coming age but this is not an eternal sentence. They rise in the resurrection to judgment but according to Isaiah 26:9, when God’s “judgments” are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. If anyone suffers the fate of an eternal death sentence then death is not swallowed up in victory. Death will be victorious for all eternity but we know that’s not true because Christ defeats death. In Revelation 21:8, sinners will have their part or PORTION in the lake of fire which is the second death. God doesn’t destroy people for all eternity, God refines, restores, and makes new. If God makes you new, the old version of you dies (the second death which is the death of Adam in all of us).

So you mean that dying is not really dying. Do you have any biblical basis for that? When you say that the believers in Christ will not perish in the age to come based on your reading of "aionios" do you mean that that age is not eternal? The Bible speaks about two great resurrections, one for life and the other for condemnation, not refinement or restoration (John 5:28, 29). God refines, restores and makes new those who choose to believe in Him and be faithful to Him. Nothing is more clearly taught in the Bible. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV "And the Spirit and the bride say, 'Come!' And let him who hears say, 'Come!' And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely." Revelation 22:17 NKJV "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16 NKJV "And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.'" Mark 16:15, 16 NKJV Your interpretation of Scripture, even though it sounds appealing for many, deprives human beings of the ability to choose, meaning, either we like it or not we "have" to spend eternity with God. I believe the Bible teaches something very different. God wants all to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4; 2 Peter 3:9), but He will not force them to be saved, that would be contrary to His character of love (1 John 4:8). He gives to all the opportunity to be saved but respects individual choice as the texts above and many others show. Peace to you!

@therealgospelofchrist6823 11 месяцев назад
@ied4me No, I mean that dying is not eternal. The resurrection is all the biblical basis that you need to prove that death isn’t the final end to humanity. If death was an eternal sentence then death would not be swallowed up in victory. Everyone perishes. To perish means to die. The same Greek word “appolymi” is used to describe being lost, destroyed, or perished. Even Jesus perished but God raised Him from the dead. Jesus will then raise the righteous to aionios life which is another age of life that the rest of the world doesn’t experience because they are still dead in the grave awaiting the resurrection to “JUDGMENT” not condemnation. The Greek word “krisis” means judgment but the KJV translates this word as judgment, condemnation, damnation, and accusation. These words have some similarities but they do not mean the same thing and there was no reason for the KJV translators to deviate from the actual meaning of “krisis” by adding other words to describe its meaning. Out of the 48 times “krisis” is found in the New Testament Greek, it is translated 41 times as the word “judgment”. The age to come for believers is not eternal. Ages have beginnings and ends so an eternal age would be a contradiction. You cannot add “eternity” to a degree of measurement be it time, distance, weight, speed, etc. An everlasting “year” would be a year that never ends but that wouldn’t make sense because we know what a year is. The age to come is symbolized in the book of Revelation as the 1,000 year reign with Christ in the kingdom of God. 1,000 years is a long time but it is not eternal. When that age concludes, the next age will begin which is the age of judgment. Believers remain alive because they were made IMMORTAL in the resurrection to life and this is further proven by the fact that the saints will “judge” the world during the age of judgment (1 Corinthians 6:2). The Bible does speak of two resurrection events and Christ does reference these events in John 5:28-29 as you have quoted. These events are also recorded in Daniel 12:2 but again, much of Christian beliefs are grounded in some very bad scholarship. The Hebrew word “olam” which is translated as “everlasting” in Daniel 12:2 does not mean everlasting. Psalm 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, Or You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. What does “from everlasting to everlasting” mean? How many everlastings are there? Clearly it should read by the context of the verse, from generation to generation, You are God. In Leviticus 16:34, it talks about an “everlasting covenant” to make atonement for the children of Israel, for all their sins, once a year but that was most certainly not an everlasting covenant because Christ has made the final atonement for the worlds sins. So the “olam” life and the “olam” contempt in Daniel 12:2 is not everlasting, it is age-during or lasting for the age. This is further proven by the fact that “many” will be TURNED to righteousness as described in the very next verse in Daniel 12:3; Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and THOSE WHO TURN MANY TO RIGHTEOUSNESS like the stars forever and ever (for the age and beyond). This is further backed by the proclamation of the prophet Isaiah; Isaiah 26:9 With my soul I have desired You in the night, Yes, by my spirit within me I will seek You early; For WHEN YOUR JUDGMENTS ARE IN THE EARTH, THE INHABITANTS OF THE WORLD WILL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS. Christians have a very carnal and negative view of judgment especially when it comes to the judgment of God but God’s judgment is righteous. When we read words like “condemnation” to describe “judgment”, that influences how we interpret scripture but these two words are not synonyms. Even God’s people go through judgment (1 Peter 4:17) but are God’s people tormented then sentenced to an eternal death? No, God refines them and God will do the same for the wicked and unbelieving populations in the resurrection to judgment. Jesus Himself said that EVERYONE shall be salted with fire (not just the unrighteous) and this is the same fire illustrated for us by Paul in 1 Corinthians 3:13-15. It is a common Christian belief that sinners must “choose” Christ but this is a fallacy which is NOT taught in the Bible at all. It is taught within Christian circles but it is not a biblical doctrine. The idea that God needs humans to choose Him is a product of human arrogance. That’s not how it works. Do children get to choose their parents? Does anything created get to choose its creator or how it is created? And by comparison since all die in Adam, did anyone have to choose Adam to die? 1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. Christians believe that in order to be made alive “in Christ”, one must choose Christ but “in Christ” is contrasted to “in Adam”. Who had to choose to die in Adam? Nobody had to choose anything to die in Adam but his curse was passed down to all of humanity. Is Adam greater than Christ? Will the work of Christ undo the work of Adam? Romans 5:18 So then, as through one offense the result was condemnation to all mankind, so also through one act of righteousness the result was justification of life to those who choose to believe in Him and be faithful to Him…. is that what the scripture says? No, here is what the scripture says; Romans 5:18 So then, as through one offense the result was condemnation to all mankind, so also through one act of righteousness the result was justification of life to ALL MANKIND.

@@crucified4me There are many scriptures that prove that people do not choose Christ. I’m going to compare what Christianity teaches to what the scriptures actually say; Christianity - John 6:44 Anyone can come to me if they choose to and I will raise him up at the last day. Scripture - John 6:44 NO ONE CAN COME TO ME UNLESS THE FATHER WHO SENT ME DRAWS HIM; and I will raise him up at the last day. Christianity - Philippians 2:13 for it is man who chooses to will and to do for God’s good pleasure. Scripture - Philippians 2:13 for it is GOD WHO WORKS IN YOU BOTH TO WILL AND TO DO for His good pleasure. Christianity - John 15:16 You chose Me, I didn’t chose you… Scripture - John 15:16 YOU DID NOT CHOOSE ME but I chose you… Faith is a GIFT from God not a choice of man. God is the Master Potter and He makes vessels of honor and vessels of dishonor. To some He shows mercy and to others, He hardens (Romans 9:18-21). If God makes a vessel of dishonor the vessel cannot choose to be a vessel of honor. If God hardens you, you cannot choose mercy. None of the scriptures you quoted indicate that man can and must choose God without God’s intervention. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Does this scripture eliminate the possibility of everyone being in Christ by the time Christ delivers the kingdom up to the Father (1 Corinthians 15:24)? Let’s consider the fact that Christ puts down all rule, power, and authority and He puts ALL enemies under His feet. This is a picture of subjection and in 1 Corinthians 15:28, it says, “when ALL are made subject to Him” so ALL will at some point be made subject to Christ. The “ALL” is the same all that die in Adam and the same all that are made alive “in Christ” and if anyone is “in Christ”, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." According to 1 Corinthians 15:28, this all results in God being “ALL IN ALL”! "And the Spirit and the bride say, 'Come!' And let him who hears say, 'Come!' And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely." Revelation 22:17 - This scripture is an invitation to “Come” but who is being addressed here? The bride is the Church so Christians or believers are not the people being addressed. This is an invitation to the nations. The leaves of the tree (of life) were for the HEALING OF THE NATION (Revelation 22:2) and not for their extermination. You say there is no refinement or restoration but the scriptures speak differently. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16 - Like I stated earlier, everyone perishes. That is a fact. Everyone is going to die but this scripture is referencing the coming age by implication. Whoever believes in Him should not be perishing (into the coming age) but have aionios (age-abiding) life. The question here is, how does a person “believe” in Him? What does it mean to believe in Him? Would believing in His name qualify? Would believing in what He was sent to be by the Father qualify? According to John 4:42, Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of the world but how many people believe that Jesus will actually save the world? If a person claims to believe in Him, shouldn’t they believe that He will accomplish what His name represents? Many people believe in Christianity but Christianity is not the savior of the world. "And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.'" Mark 16:15-16 - I could easily argue that the “real gospel” is hardly being preached anywhere in the world but once again, there is more to believing than just accepting and agreeing with Christianity’s version of God’s salvation. Believers are saved into the age to come but the condemnation of the death penalty will still apply to those who don’t believe into the age to come. This however is not an eternal sentence because they will rise again in the resurrection to judgment. My interpretation of scripture comes from scripture and a message that is described as “good news” should be appealing. The doctrine of annihilation while far better than ECT, it is still heresy and it robs God of all the glory. You give too much power to humanity. Does the human will to choose override God’s sovereignty? We did not create God, God created us for His purposes. There are many things that human beings don’t get to choose. We don’t get to choose to be born. We don’t get to choose where to be born. We don’t get to choose our name. We don’t get to choose our parents or siblings. We don’t get to choose our skin color or what kind of body we will have. We don’t get to choose what abilities or gifts we might have either. Children usually have to spend the first 18 years of their life with their parents whether they like it or not but that’s a good thing because children have to be cared for and trained. Do you really think that God is incapable of causing all of humanity to fall in love with Him? The all-powerful, all-knowing Creator doesn’t have the power or knowledge to convince His own creation to choose to be with Him? Christians have a weird way of thinking. There are MANY things that we do not know about God but in the ages to come, the knowledge of God will be in the earth as the waters cover the seas. God for the most part is hidden and mysterious so how do people experience God? The closest experience to “God” is religion but religion has polluted and distorted the image of God so badly that most people reject church and religion altogether. Doctrines such an eternal hell and annihilation paint God as a sadistic terrorist or a genocidal maniac instead of the loving Father that He is. The Bible teaches what it teaches but your interpretation of what the Bible teaches is where the issue is. God does want all to be saved but it is asinine to think that God can’t get what He wants. 1 Timothy 2:4 says that God DESIRES all people to be saved but God also proclaims this in Isaiah 46:10; At the beginning I declare the outcome; from of old, things not yet done. I say that my plan shall stand, I ACCOMPLISH MY EVERY DESIRE. And, Isaiah 55:11 So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, WITHOUT ACCOMPLISHING WHAT I DESIRE, and without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it. In 2 Peter 3:9, God declares that He is not WILLING that any should perish (without a resurrection) but that all to come to repentance. The irony here is that Christians pray, “God’s will be done” but they clearly do not really believe that God’s “will”, will be done. If God wants all to come to repentance, all will come to repentance because God knows exactly what judgments to assign and how much mercy to apply to bring everyone to their knees (Philippians 2:10). Does God force every knee to bow? Does He force every tongue to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord? 1 Corinthians 12:3 says no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit so that alone suggests that the Holy Spirit will be motivating every tongue that will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. I’m not sure why you assume that God can only accomplish His plan by force. Do you believe that it is possible for God to motivate through love? I’m a parent and my children love me. I didn’t have to force them to love me because they learned love from me. Love comes from love and my children love me because I loved them first. We all will learn to love God when we know and understand everything that there is to know about God and what He has done for us without the devil’s deception and without Christianity’s dogmas. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:22-23, that in Christ, all are made alive but each man in his own order. Salvation first comes to God’s elect, then the elect will judge and save the world (Obadiah 1:21). God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34) so to say that God respects individual choice is just a tradition you’ve learned from Christianity. There is nothing man can do that God doesn’t allow because GOD RULES IN THE KINGDOM OF MEN (Daniel 4:32).

Hell exists, demons are real. That the pains of hell are eternal it's of course part of the faith. Jesus makes that quite clear in numerous places. Hi and thank you for your comment. The Bible does speak about the lake of fire as the place where the wicked will be tormented and eventually perish (Revelation 20; Malachi 4). Demons are real, no doubt, the Bible reveals that in many passages and shows where they come from (Revelation 12). I disagree that the suffering in hell is eternal. Jesus clearly taught that people are destroyed in hell (Matthew 10:28). The title "Mother of God" is misleading. Mary was the mother of Jesus, and yes, Jesus was and is God, the Bible is very clear on that. But saying "Mother of God" is using a title that we do not find in the Bible and gives the idea that Mary preceded God. That would be blasphemy. I hope you consider these things.

Don't take my word for it however... Read it for yourselves! If there is still all those things outside the gates at therefore it wasn't the world (as a whole) that those things were removed from. The Bible was fulfilled in completion by 70ad just as Yashua said it would... Look at his language where he says things are "soon" and "at hand" etc. Test all things! Great video by the way! I do not believe in hell nor do I ever think there was a place called hell. It's definitely not in the Bible anyway. God bless you all!

Hell is in the Bible hundreds of times are you on crack
@americandodo
@americandodo 10 месяцев назад
@@ryanmozert No it's actually not. There are the words Sheol (grave, pit), Hades (grave), Gehenna (the valley of Hinnom), and Tartarus (only mentioned once and where God put the fallen angels and referred to a pit of darkness). NONE of those words mean a place of eternal torment and they surely aren't "hell". Hell is actually of Egyptian roots but used most commonly from Norse mythology (Hel). The word hell simply doesn't exist in the Bible and I challenge you to look carefully at the words Sheol, Hades, Gehenna or Tartarus and try to find them to be a place of eternal torment. In fact there is no such place in scripture. What is the gift we receive from Christ? We receive eternal life! If we aren't in Christ we don't have eternal life... If you don't have eternal life you cannot burn forever and ever somewhere. We as humans do not have an eternal spirit unless we are with Christ and he gives us one. In fact go look at old testament Scripture about the dead. It will tell you they know nothing, they do not speak, they do not understand they do not do anything... It's a fascinating study to say the least. But we find MANY scriptures that tell us that we do not live forever unless we have Christ and in fact we find out that we do die without Christ... And I mean dead dead where you exist no more. John 3:16 is a great example... For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son and that whomever believed in him would not burn in eternal torment for ever and ever... Wait...I mean would not PERISH, but have everlasting life! There is no hell... Only words that have been translated incorrectly in English. Hell did not exist until the Catholic Church and Dante's Inferno. It's really a great study. Just for fun go check out Jeremiah 7:30-32. There you will find the valley of Hinnom (Gehenna) and it was the sacrifice of children and babies to Molach or Baal and God says something very peculiar to the Judean people... "they burn their son's and daughters in the fire which I did not command... NOR DID IT EVER ENTER MY MIND"! So God has never thought about burning people alive before and it's detestable to him... So why would he create Hell if it was all about torture and burning people alive? Did this give him a great idea? Did they inspire God to kick it up a notch and have people burn forever and ever just because they didn't believe in him and ate pork chops? No God didn't like this concept at all and a loving kind God would NEVER torture and burn people forever and ever. Christ was using analogies when he talked about the grave and the worm not dying etc. Just something to think about and don't take the words of men to heart... Many people will lead us astray but God and his word will not. So study it with your own mind and be a Berean. Don't take anyone's word for it. Sorry if I came off sarcastic in places or rude in others. I don't mean to be but it's been a very intense study I've been doing for years and no one wants to see what Scripture says... They only want to believe what they are told to think the Bible says. Anyway God bless you and again sorry if I came off strong as that's not my intent. Have a wonderful day!

@@ryanmozert No way brother! I'm JUST a Bible believing Christian. Jehovah witnesses think Christ is Michael the arch angel and do not think he is God. I know Christ is God from scripture. Seriously though is your argument going to be mocking rather than reading what Scripture says? I can't tell you how much Christians love hell and love the devil... It's really insane. What's even worse is how many think God is a heartless monster and then we even try to justify it....I was there, it wasn't but a few years ago I believed in hell and defended it tooth and nail. Anyway you're free to believe what you want... But scripture doesn't point to a place of fire and brimstone where people are tortured day and night forever and ever... By the way the word tortured in Scripture is the word for tested and forever and ever is actually in the age of ages. Take care of yourself and might want to pick up your Bible and a good Lexicon because too few Christians know what the Scripture actually says in the languages it was actually written in. God bless!

In Mark 9, Jesus quotes Isaiah 66:24, that talks about the "corpses" of the wicked burning, not the wicked alive suffering. Matthew 13:50 speaks about suffering. @@rj72x28 I believe the Bible is clear that the wicked will suffer in the lake of fire according to their works (Revelation 20:12-15). The suffering will be proportional to their wickedness and the light they had and rejected, so not everyone in the lake of fire will suffer the same (Luke 12:47, 48). But eventually, after their suffered for their deeds for the time and with the intensity that is fair according to God's justice, the wicked people, Satan and his angels will be completely destroyed and turned to ashes (Malachi 4:1-3). The lake of fire "the second death" (Revelation 20:14). Death is death, not life or some sort of life. People that die the second death will be truly dead, gone, non-existent, annihilated, disappearing from existence forever and ever, never to be resurrected or reborn, never to regain conscience or be aware of anything ever again. @@phillipmccain7601 brother, watch that video that I sent you and then let's talk. It's not even by someone of my own denomination, just someone who studied this more than many and who was brave enough to go against the conventional understanding just because he wanted to be faithful to God's Word. I don't want to convince you of anything. I want to follow the Bible and what it says. God knows your heart and mine, He is the the judge. The worm that does not die is eating the corpses of the wicked. Jesus was quoting Isaiah 66:24, check it out. everlasting punishment (Matthew 25:46) is everlasting destruction, even though each will suffer according to his/her works (2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:13). Outer darkness does not mean eternal torment. The parable of the rich man and Lazarus is a parable. If you read it literally than you have to accept a lot of things that don't make much sense: A) Heaven and hell are close enough so that the people in heaven can hear and see the people in hell while these are suffering, and the people in hell can talk to father Abraham; B) In the afterlife, before the resurrection, while their physical bodies are turning into dust, the people in hell have fingers, eyes, and a tongue, and they suffer physically feeling thirst; C) Heaven is Abraham's bosom. If you want to believe that ☝feel free. The passage you are quoting about the fallen angels in everlasting chains is in Jude, and it's very important to understand the whole thing: 6 And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; 7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Jude 1:6, 7 The fallen angels are in chains waiting for the "judgment of that great day" when they will be made to suffer the same as Sodom and Gomorrah, eternal fire. That fire is not burning today, but its consequences are eternal. That's what's going to happen to the wicked and to Satan and his angels. Pray about this and study it for yourself in the Bible. Let the Holy Spirit teach you with God's Word. The majority is not always right.
