The Eternals fly into the source of the emergence. Once they arrive, they confront Ikaris and begin fighting him. Meanwhile, Kro, the deviant, attacks them and nearly kills Makkari, but Phastos knocks him into a cave.
Then, Thena follows the deviant into the cave. Kro impersonates Gilgamesh and attempts to take over Thena's mind, but she resists him and kills the deviant.
