Point shooting is honestly how it should be at most ranges the game’s encounters take place, shouldering and getting behind a sight when the target is less than 5 metres ( point blank ) is stupid irl. Granted, maybe you would with a handgun at 15 yards. I honestly dont mind it with Ethan moreso than I do with Chris.
@@pablojosediablo If you just need a center mass hit and have literally no reason to worry about what's beyond your target sure. With any form of formal training ADS becomes muscle memory, point shooting like Ethan does isn't even taught in reactivate training or C.A.R style shooting. It's literally a panic shot or something a newbie would do.
Gameplay mechanics, thought original the reason he couldn't look down the sights was do to missing fingers but once you get the sniper rifle or play as chris who aims the same was a bit disappointed as in RE7 Chris actually aimed normally.
@@Opana223He has right to be scared, his opponent is literally an immortal witch, Tall Blood sucking Lady, A freak fish man, Creep Ass Doll Genjutsu lady, and Wild West Magneto.
Its cool cause in the game they say that between RE7 and RE8 Ethan had received military training so its cool to see he now really knows his way around firearms now.
@@Khongphaihiuliu Nope, that was his brother, Robert. This is what I found on the wiki: "Joseph "Joe" Kendo is the brother of deceased Gun Shop owner Robert Kendo. He helped his brother customize special requested guns for his shop, and also served as a weapons instructor for the Special Tactics And Rescue Service. He is most known for finalizing the Beretta 92F S.T.A.R.S. Special, which he named the "Samurai Edge." Joe Kendo shop is located in San Francisco, the handgun that Leon starts with in RE4 is engraved "Kendo Custom Shop," similarly to the Samurai Edge. They are not easily seen in-game, but the engravings can be made out in the Bradygames walkthrough interior cover art and in the ARMS Magazine BioHazard 4 special. Joseph has also written the book "Gun Survivalist: A Heavy Firearms Manual for Field Combat Situations", seen in Ethan Winters' house."
@@ayelmao4258 And most of the hi-power weapons lie in bonus shelf. There's already powerful weapons in the form of the: "M1851 Wolfsbane, the GL40 Break action Grenade launcher, and the lategame weapons, like the shotgun and the machinepistol, but the G14 sniper does well and wonders if you upgrade well."
I like the idea of the reloads in RE8 looking more sophisticated and disciplined as opposed to the civilian style reloads in RE7. And the fact that they also had a believable reason for it being that way is "Military Training" is also nice and it even shows a little of Ethan's growth as a character since the events of RE7.
In RE7 Ethan had no Military training in RE8 Ethan had now Experience in weapons and the Tac Reload Ps: imagine Jonathan Ferguson from the Royal arms museum could react RE8
1:38 I'm not an expert but Ethan just put a shell into the firing chamber and after loading the other shells in he primed the gun again. So he just ejacted a live shell. So much for his military training.
@@kuronekogaming5126 the game is bloody cool, and if a few problems happen it wont bog down the game, probably bug some people but congrats to the developer eh
If you look at it realistically, In a situation, you may forget that you have loaded a live bullet whilst encountering enemies, so his instincts tell him to reload only to find out later that he has ejected it. I know it’s a crappy explanation but it works.
Just a thought from what I've observed here. When Ethan is fully empty he tosses the magazine into oblivion but when he reloads with a bullet left in the mag he does the tactical switch to save the remaining bullet. Throwing the mag into oblivion is videogame logic where its assumed that he's got an unlimited supply of empty mags on his person. In real life you would always want to do the tactical switch. You would never hurl an empty magazine onto the ground. Maybe if you were literally in the middle of a fire fight but that would still seam stupid. The way he palms the empty mag while inserting the fresh mag is how it should always be done no matter what.
This is most likely ethan different experience before and after using some gun Like re7,he so slowly to reload, thats verry annoying And in re8,he so good at shooting and reload a gun But chris most good at gun :v
The animations are cool and all but are we not going to mention that Ethan just loaded a shotgun shell into the chamber, reloaded the shotgun, then pumped it...dude basically ejected a live shell
It's just because they got lazy and always made the first reload in an empty shotgun the tac reload if they did it correctly he would only tac reload when an enemy is around or I'm his face so that's a game problem not an ethan problem.
@@inrainbowsfan94 it's not a complaint it was meant as a joke. And why do you people have to compare everything to COD? Who even plays cod anymore.........
i dunno, something about the re7 reloads feel better to me. maybe because the animation is slower/clunkier, as well as the way he's holding the guns. it feels a lot weightier.
I find it weird for him to chamber check the AK, especially since it doesn't have a bolt hold-open function. Still, I like how much they improved since the last game. Not the best, but pretty nice.
While military training has made Ethan to be more proficient at reloading, still can't ADS though it'd be less convenient than a dot at the center of the screen.
I can’t be the only one that hates how just janky the reload animations are in RE8 especially with the sounds it feels like the guns have no weight behind the metal or anything especially the pistols they suffer the worse from it RE7 has better sounds when you reload
In the beginning of the game he states that he went through military training, he also has a book in his house about tactical training so that explains his new found gun proficiency
Wish dat wolfbane magnum takes more time to reload to balance it out considering how high it's firepower. Also since animation looks rushed and skipped.
It bothers me that the one left in the chamber isn't preserved when you do a reload from a partial magazine (assuming it's a weapon with that feature).
His grip on that 1911 is atrocious though. So much so that it's painful to look at. Also, @1:52 he drops a round directly into the chamber when the handguard is forward when the bolt should be closed making that impossible? Then after loading the tube he runs the pump which would have ejected the round in the chamber even if he did magic it in there.
I will say, the two missing fingers bothers me. No one is that comfortable a few hours at most after losing two fingers, especially stuff that requires precise hand maneuvers like reloading. I don’t even fully get why they put so much emphasis on Ethan’s hands being damaged without also allowing him to do something to fix his fingers. A prosthetic, maybe some basically magic to create new fingers, maybe he replaces them with someone else’s fingers. It’s not like he doesn’t do something much similar later.
@@Alex-vp7lm Actually no. It doesn’t shoot anti-B.O.W rounds by default. It shoots normal pistol cartridges or R.A.M.R.O.D.S which are cartridges specialized to destroy the mold and avoid regeneration. It is still a super cool weapon and my favorite though.
Just wish some of pistol reloads were more diverse then the same animation every time for empty reloads tac reloads are cool other then that this is a neat comparison
Funny how in RE 8 when you have a pump action shotgun. Winters reload a round into the chamber. Reload all the rounds but somehow pump the shotgun again. There’s a shell in the chamber you don’t need to re chamber a round. That’s a waste of ammo
ethans probably one of the most controversial characters in a game but i love his one liners he asked a lot of dumb shit in re8 but he still had some great quotes if you actually payed attention to the script i also found it really cool how much detail they put into him reloading and everything i also feel like they made re7s weapon variety for ethan really small like handguns and that one pump and break action and grenade launcher because they were the easiest to use without training in this game ethan has a shit ton of training so he can have a lot more weapons
