@@bananskal1921 I’ll elaborate if you gimme a bit about your political views lol. I don’t have the energy today to debate if you have the same views as him 😂 I’m also just not very political at all.. at least not the traditional “democrat” and “republican” sense. I’d fully characterize myself as independent.. to give you an idea.
In the Western part of the US it’s common to take small trips to the grocery store often rather than buying a lot of groceries at once. So the fresh produce often gets used the same day you buy it.
As a fellow Swede, I'm also a bit confused with everyone's reaction to onions. I thought it was quite common to have a lot of onions since it's quite a versatile ingredient used in a lot of dishes. Maybe it's because it's warmer in California and onion might not be used as often in "fresher" dishes like salads or like bowls? Otherwise I'd imagine you'd want some onions hanging around even when you make burgers or something.
I can't speak on all of America lol, but for me and the people I'm around... Onions don't usually come in big bags/bulk. You pick like two or three out of a crate, put it in a bag and that's it.
@@hellyoung2091 im british. we buy them in bulk but we put onions in a cupboard where we throw like all our kitchen stuff lmao. they live with washing up powder and potatoes. peeled ones and half cut ones go in the fridge tho. we can buy them singularly. the singular ones are usually the big ones and then the smaller ones are in bags. like yeah onions get put into everything in my house lol.
Why are they so surprised about the onions? It's normal to buy onions in a bulk as they are used a lot. Most cooking needs an onion. Or is this just a European thing?
I think people underestimate just how funny Ian is, he doesn't talk much but when he DOES have something to say...it's amazing hahaha. The impression of AB saying "you guys want any Labne?" was hilarious.
i love rewatching this video but what struck me this time is how much love's confidence and charisma has grown since being on the show!! i hope he's proud of himself!
Labne is a more concentrated version of Laban, where they drain Laban of its moisture content making Labne- so it's creamier and more of a dip that you combine with olive oil, mint, and eat with pita bread eaten usually during a big breakfast. It's literally just a sour yogurt. Saying it's like cheese is nowhere near accurate lol. There's also Laban ayran which is the drink you were talking about at the end. Usually served at middle eastern restaurants and is similar to Lassi found at Indian restaurants. It's yummy.
I could tell who the first fridge was straight away because Dan said “I guess” twice trying to make it sound like he doesn’t know and then he said “almond milk I think” lol he knew what it was but still said “I think”? Trying to play it cool So obvious
Im American too and i was extremely confused by them asking why he has a bag of onions. Like I’ve only ever bought bags of onions my whole life? Maybe its an LA thing Im from the northeast
It’s widely available is Sweden too and I kinda eat it with everything Edit: ooh saw where this comment came from lol. But I’m gonna leave it here anyway
After seeing all these refrigerators filled with so much processed food, I have new found appreciation for my typical indian household refrigerator with all its fresh veggies, dairy and home made bread (roti).
Yeah it’s crazy how much anericans eat from packages and tins. No wonder so many are sick and overweight with sugar addictions and eating disorders. Your fridge sounds amazing
Great observation. Your perspective and group response rests upon an h3 segment. On RU-vid. Every culture has a variety of eating habits. Healthy or not. Smh
@@lynvingme not just on the h3 segment, I've read numerous articles about how Americans have started to grow their own food and turned to foods that don't have preservatives and don't come in packets. The KEYWORD being . My motive isn't to point out the things wrong with your culture, every culture has it quirks, we're all evolving and bettering ourselves.
For some reason.. I kept feeling anxious about the fridges being open and kept getting the urge to close them 🤣 am I the only weirdo that felt that way during this video?? It’s so weird! Lmao
I still drink milk lol guess I’m the only one. Might have to do with me living in the Midwest though. My fridge is a lot different lol lots of boxes from restaurants 😂 I take hours to cook a meal that’s supposed to take 30-45 minutes.
Why does Dan have no items in the bottom drawer and also puts the heaviest items in the door? Lots of strain on those seals and hinges Its almost like he spends soooo much time organizing this show that he doesn't have time to organize his own life
@@Thatsokayiwaswrong wouldnt that spoil your milk faster if its the most exposed part of your fridge? Seems like Milk goes on the the bottom shelf towards the back to keep it as cold as possible without freezing
I’m so confused, is it not how you buy onions in America? It’s super normal in European countries but everyone’s reaction is quite strange to the onion bag
