My worst rejection story, I was asked to hang out some time by a barista, and i came back to the coffee shop a few days later and said Yeah i would love to hang out, when would you want to? She said maybe later, and while i was still drinking my coffee in the shop the barista Texted her BOY FRIEND and he confronted me telling me to stay away from her and physically threatened me as i was walking away from the shop. She asked ME to hang out, then she calls her boyfriend to run me off?? I was so confused but also terrified as the guy was way bigger than me.

I ended up getting rejected in middle school by somebody I had a huge crush on for years. It was going to be for prom & she said she was already going with somebody else. However, whenever me and my friends got there, the dude that she was going to go with ended up not being there; so when the music got slow I asked her to dance with me & she said yes! It felt like all the crying (I cried when I got home) I did the day before was really embarrassing lol. Ah to be young n dumb. Looking back my favorite part was hearing my friends cheer me on & being there for me whenever I was down.

I once asked a girl i liked on 9th grade if she wanted to go out with me, we had spoken a lot before that and i thougth it was gonna go all well and i went, asked her and her friend were there and then she tells me that she likes girls i wanted just to die that day.

It was my last semester in high school. There was a girl I really liked and even though I wasn't sure if she felt the same, I thought it was worth taking a shot. Keep in mind, I expected her to say no. After I asked her out, she said yes. As you can imagine, I was super happy. Her only condition is that we should hang out next week since her uncle was in town. Two days after I asked her out, she started to ignore me at school. Yes, you read that right, she randomly ignored me. Not only IRL, but also on Whatsapp (we did text each other for a bit one day after I asked her out). I thought it was super weird from her. So within a span of one week, I tried talking to her. But everytime I said hi, she walked the other way. I felt terrible. I honestly thought that I did or said something wrong. After a few weeks, I've realized that she probably didn't know how to reject someone and we haven't spoken to each other since that day.

Ethan needs to start using Control and + to zoom in, or on mac I guess its CMD and +, the trackpad zooming is what is causing the issues.

Honestly I don’t have a rejection story yet because every person I’ve asked out I’ve dated, which might sound awesome until its put into perspective that would be like 4 people because I would only ever ask a girl out if we where practically already in a relationship, just not officially. It just sounds like asking random people out that you think might make for a good partner is not worth it which this video proves to me more so than ever. Personally ig I just prefer to get to know people first.

My first “boyfriend” was also in middle school and we liked eachother equally but it was the same kind of story as the boys, we only talked through text and he texted me one day that tomorrow we should hold hands and tell our friends and I panicked and broke up with him! I still feel bad cause I did really like the boy but I was so innocent. 😂 I know he had hurt feelings and I never explained why.

1. Hate when people sing to me, I literally want to die. 2. Worst rejection wasn’t romantic, but my undergrad thesis proposal where the dean of my department said that my theory was antiquated and that the professors who supported me should be ashamed and he questioned why they worked there (one a tenured professor of 40 years and written several books on the subject). If we had a lower GPA than required we still got the chance to plead our case and I was a 100th of a point off. Didn’t get to do a thesis at all and had to take a lower level course.

Firstly, this guidance councillor needs to not be a guidance counsellor anymore. They’re shit at their job. secondly, can we take a minute to appreciate the awkward and shitty position this girl was put in?? As brutal as it is for a kid to be rejected - I doubt it was much fun for her to have to shut him down. I’ve been in that position and it sucks. And thirdly - The “guidance councillor” was out of line when they pushed for her to say she’ll think about it. If she said no - then she said no. She shouldn’t have to be made to feel uncomfortable just to soften the blow for him. I hate everything about that clip.

i dont know who needs to hear this, but if you do ANY kind of public proposal (a dance, prom, marriage, whatever) to a person without checking with them first if theyd be comfortable with it, you HAVE to be prepared for a rejection. of course it'd be nice if the person said yes, but think about how fucking uncomfortable you make the other person by making them part of a public spectacle without their consent!! of course, if you get rejected, its "brutal" but its then literally your own fucking fault that it even got to be that brutal 💀
