This actually happened in Las Vegas. I witnessed a train of mobility scooters driving through the Venetian. A group of partiers were wearing bathrobes and blasting eye of a tiger from a boom box while driving in circles inside the casino 😂

There’s something inherently funny about mobility scooters. I work in a grocery store and the manager of the store told me someone stole one of the courtesy scooters. The store is near a bridge and I just have this vision of someone scooting up the hill over the bridge flipping my boss off and cursing for like 10 minutes.

just a thought from a 30yr old who has been disabled for years and cannot drive a car so fully relies on a mobility scooter to be independent at all (I can go to the grocery store and pharmacy by myself for example which is so freeing from depending on others for rides and help): PLEASE seriously consider how you can do this in a respectful way! I am constantly cracking myself up on my scooter because i know how silly and kind of absurd they look out in the wild. But for millions of people it is truly our only option as a mode of transportation so from my perspective this video gave a kinda general vibe of "HAHAHA omg these are so ridiculous and funny can you IMAGINE how much of a nightmare itd be to actually rely on one lololol" I love anything that normalizes disabilities and then of course mobility aids whether its canes or wheelchairs or scooters! So i truly hope that if you actually do this that you listen to the disabled creators and individuals who live this 365 days a year. Please be mindful of who and what is exactly being laughed at because disabilities are so complex and nuanced- and if you really do go though with this I saw another comment suggesting you then donate the scooters to the endless number of children adults and the eldery who desperately need them but cannot afford to buy one since they are thousands of dollars!

I think the idea is funny but idk how everyone would respond. It’s a problem in the disabled community that abled bodied people abuse amenities for them, it makes it harder for them to get access to things,, & people question wether or not they’re actually disabled.
