We took care of my father in-law who passed away from cancer. I'll never forget when he became unable to walk and purchased hinself a mobility scooter. The thing went 14 mph. He would just take off without telling us and we'd find him miles from home flying down the road 😂. Thank God he never hurt himself or anyone else.

You could put tape on two pieces of the floor and measure the distance as a certain amount (ex. One yard) and then record on slo mo the gatsby driving over it. You then count the number of frames it took for it to pass it and then convert it to seconds and you have yards/s. Covert that into miles by dividing yards by 1760 and then you have mi/s. Divide that number by a further 3600 to covert into mph.
