I'm sure some already asked this, but what if it's the ethernet AND wifi? I seem to be capped at 100. (supposed to get 500) is it the same method, or should I hook up my laptop to ethernet and fix it that way?..make sense?
i got a cat 8 bc i thought the reason was my cat 5 was capped at 100 but with the cat 8 i put it to 1gb full duplex it tells me my cable is unplugged and i try to plug it in and out and it dosent work but when i put it on auto it caps at 100 and its to post to be at 1gb and my cat 8 is still capped at 100mgbs any ideas why this isn't working?
to those who have this kind of issue and the settings is already at auto, change it to 100mbps and click ok. then change it again to auto and pls restart your pc. changes wont take effect if you dont restart pc so please restart it. trust me cheers!

Ive been getting over 900 mbps and recently it wont go over 80, Im not sure what my internets issue is but Im trying to find a solution, this tutorial didnt help at all do you have any other tips
didnt work for me, I upgraded to gigabit internet and my speed and duplex was already on auto. I've got a cat-5e cable and my router supports gigabit speeds. not sure what's up
WOW! I just stumbled by accident on your video and changed these settings and went from max 90 mb/s to 400 mb/s! Awesome! I was always wondering why I never could get pass that 100 mb/s limit. Thanks mate. 👍👍
I pay for a 110MB package and it get that on xbox when installing a game but since going to PC i’m only getting 14.1MB when installing games i don’t understand why

I’m doing this and it’s not working I turn it to auto and I tried the 1.0gb and it’s still stuck, I restarted my pc like 5 times and the internet is still capped at 100 no matter what settings I put
mine is the same but stuck at 500 and already had that setting, frankly not sure how to fix it,I got a new motherboard capable of 2,5gbs speeds but im only hitting a little under 500.
You saved me went from 100 to 1000mbps big bro💪much love man, I even tried switching my Cat 5 cable to Cat 5 E which said It gives you 1000mbps, now It didn’t work until I did this life saver.
I have been having a problem with my ethernet cable that once a day or more it goes from 1gig/1gig to 0/0 for a few seconds and comes back capped at 100/100 unplugging it and plugging it back in fixes it temporarily and turning it off/on does the same. I didn't have the problem happen for 3 weeks after watching a video about changing the power control and other settings in that menu you showed.

mine doesn't work, I try changing that and didn't work, I unplugged and plugged but still didn't work, it was 100mbps speed, it's not the cable cause I tried in a different computer and it was working, the internet speed was at 500mbps...I think it's my ethernet card idk
yo guys! I wanna ask.. is the speed you will get is limited to your internet speed? I mean, if your internet speed is 1Gbps, that means you will probably get up to that speed? and if your internet speed is only 100Mbps, then you won't get past 100. right? please enlighten me.. because I read the comments, some of you get 200, 500, 1000.. but none of them tell their internet speed provided by their ISP. thank you whoever reply and give me some explanation and enlightment. 😊

Guys help me. Im not tech guy so i dont understand. I moved to new house and there are ethernet plugs in wall. I have laptop so i plugged ethernet cable to notebook and wall. Internet speed is 5MB/s and ethernet is same fast as wifi. How to make ethernet as fast as he is showing?
doesnt work for me, auto negotiation and even if I will set it at 1.0 Gbps nothing is change. any thoughts on this? is this an issue of the ethernet adaptor in my pc? I dont have lan card only a buit-in lan port, it says Qualcomm Atheros AR8151 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30) so I am not sure what's going on. tried to call PLDT but they cannot fix the issue. I cant get past 100mbps but my plat should be at least 150mbps. PLDT says my speed is already aligned with my plan but that's not what I am getting.
This didn't work for me so I just reset the Ethernet jack to factory settings and restarted the computer and it worked after doing that. Try that if this doesn't work for you. Very frustrating
which ethernet cable is required for speed above 100mbps? currently using a Cat 5 cable and my Internet plan is 200mbps. still my PC stuck on 100mbps only
I don’t understand my mother board supports 2.5 gigs of speeds but I’m capped at 100mbps even though I have a cat 6 cable and it won’t change when I use auto or 1 gig or 2.5 but it will change when I use 10mbps, I’ve updated all my drivers and windows and restarted a ton of times and tries another Ethernet cable with adapter still doesn’t work?
Just built my pc and I’m having the same issues, I know it’s not my cable because it worked on my old pc and I tested it on my laptop and it’s 1GB+. Did you ever end up fixing it?
I was able to fix this issue yesterday by simply unplugging the Ethernet cord and plugging it back in. It reset back to 100/100 today and unplugging it isn’t working. I tried the method you show in the video but as soon as I hit ok to confirm the change to 1.0 gig on speed and duplex I get disconnected from the internet and then it comes back on still on 100/100. I pay for and usually get roughly 1000/1000. Any tips?
@@yungberen yes I just unplugged my Ethernet cord from my pc and the wall hole and plugged it back in again. I have to do it every time I boot my pc back up. Goes right back to my normal speeds. It’s the only fix that has worked for me so far. I think an issue like this is just a faulty/old Ethernet cord. When I get a new Ethernet cord I’ll comment again and say if it fixed the problem or not
I fixed my issue. So i have two routers connected via Cable. I accidentally put the second router on LAN port which caused some kind of disturbence in the network identification so both device was running on 10mbps. After plugging it back to WAN everything is fine now.

Just a heads up, this issue could also occur if there is something wrong with the hardware of your Ethernet cable, Ethernet socket, or input on your computer. If this and the reset did not fix the issue, please check your hardware and replace it if needed.

if that dont work delete and reinstall the ethernet port drivers and reinstall it only do it if you can access the internet on your pc through wifi as well otherwise your screwed
I think i'm the only one that was not able to fix the issue from my computer. i am using a 2nd router since the main router is in the main room. so when i plug my ethernet directly. i get 400+ mbps. but when i plug it to my 2nd router to my pc. i cap at 90+mbps. i'm trying to fix the settings on my 2nd router. so far when i use wifi on my router i get the full speed. only the ethernet port on my 2nd router i only got 90+ mbps.
