Very good tutorial. People forgot how important the basics can be. Pilots like myself that have been flying a while can even benefit from this video. Great work guys 👍
Loved how detailed you guys got just about the process of a roll and just how many variations there are. Looking forward to the next episode in the trick series.
I searched this vid up this morning. Been following you guys but just started FPV. Wanted to revisit this vid to see what I'm doing different. I do a blip method but I coordinate yaw to hold the roll flatter in view. Going to practice a little more today... thanks for the great videos
Everything we do revolves around the basic flip and roll... makes perfect sense to practice the hell out of them... personally I set my rates using flips and rolls LOS and that way I don’t have to catch anything as it’s all just natural muscle memory.. good stuff guys ! 👍
Hi this Video is perfect . First Video ever where we can see the quad while Mr.Steel flys fpv. At the time i practice a lot and these are great tips to practice. Very good. Best regards from Germany
Nothing but practice my friend. When I first started practicing on the simulator I couldn’t even get the quad to fly more than 20 seconds lol but 8 months later I have a Nazgûl 5” hd 26 packs & im awesome at freestyle 🥳🥳
Thanks for the tips I just bought my first fpv last week. I definitely need to practice. It’s the best rc hobby I have done so far. Glad I found your channel, you got a new subscriber. Keep it up 👍. Guys are skilled pilots.
The Eachine wizard. I have a 4s battery for it and have to upgrade the camera. What do you recommend that’s a good value. I don’t wanna spend extra for something that Isn’t necessary, especially since this is my first one like that.
I haven't even bought a proper radio yet (got a $200AUD GPS drone off ebay about 3 months ago to start learning and having fun with, already smashed it up pretty good, noob mistakes lol) but you best believe I'm gonna be watching this whole series, because it's always fascinating to watch masters at work. If I'm lucky, some of this knowledge will be absorbed and I'll be well prepared when I get my first whoop. Thanks from a newbie subscriber, cheers from Oz!
That was a great video, thanks guys! Wth is up with the thumbs down? I don't get it. These guys work hard filming and editing to HELP pilots.. Meh, I guess to each their own but w/e I still don't get the negativity.
Probably worth mentioning the trick to doing a smooth finish to a roll is not trying to do a full rate roll all the way round. Steele backs off the stick about 3/4 through the roll so the last 60 degrees or so is done at a rate where it’s easier to spot the end of the move. Clearly he’s very good at it and doesn’t back off much, but it’s enough to spot the finish.
I just received my first drone A tiny hawk 2 . I literally flew a target brand drone for a week and loved it. I started the drone with goggles on and crashed for 4 min straight lol.
@@Travazoid I got my TH 2 a few weeks ago too and also got the TH 2 Freestyle. I got the freestyle first but was like "ok.. I wanna fly indoors too" so I got the TH 2 one week later. Lol. Now I got my hands on a Eachine Trashcan just two weeks after those drones. Now I want to get either the Savagebee or the Babytooth. It never ends! I fell in love with the hobby. P.S make sure to flash 48khz with JSEC or with the BLHeli/ Jazz Maverick firmware and enable bidirectional dshot when you can. It extended my TH 2 & Trashcan's flight time to 4 - 6 mins from 2 - 3 mins and also makes the flying hella smooth!
@@blackwater7183 I have been flying my TH indoors. I have pretty decent at LoS , but still cannot manage when using the goggles. I don’t know anything about what flashing JSEC is lol I lol have to do some research.
That's what I'm doin wrong, I don't look like Steele when I'm done flyin! More Hello Kitty and hair (and flight experience) Nice video guys! Looking forward to many more.
Thanks Sir for this fine content. Very clearly presented and demonstrated. Not a deal breaker, but I appreciate not having to edit your edit when I share this with the STEM youth. I am amazed by what is possible, sharp and precise smooth and relaxed dance of flight. Keep it up Sir!
Great series, can't wait to see more! Mr Steele's control is uncanny! If it tried that, as close to the ground as he is, I'm sure I'd be in the market for props, arms, cameras.... LOL
I'm not sure if this helps but a cheap way to practice the timing of doing flips and rolls is to use the Boldclash Bwhoop (w/o alt. hold) and a multiprotocol module. It works the same way but stabilised.
This was refreshing .... though ive been flying for a year now off and on, im only flying a couple batteries a week.... and This is something I needed to know to practice to help with timing ! Great stuff, Thanks Guys. Just an idea..... Can yall do an episode of using Lines when flying..... Im having a difficult time understanding that concept, and think many of us, could benefit from it if explained like this was explained. Keep em coming !
Thanks for the video guys. Steele is a hard person to watch stick cam on cause his stick throw is so short. Really good information though. I will try some of these out next time out.
Yeah why not. Basic stuff is always great, there's new people coming in all the time and even for veterans... sometimes one is so set in their ways that it can help to take a 'basics' approach again. I really hope you guys will cover coordinated turns in the future. I seem to still struggle somehow...
pretty fly for a wifi okay, sorry you made that experience then. nah it's not trolling, I also sometimes vent my frustration by shouting my opinion into the internet. Isn't this what it's there for anyway... ,P
Back to the basics! With all the racing I've been doing I've lowered me rates a lot to a happy medium for race and freestyle. But I'm going to be doing separate race and freestyle rates now.
The force was strong with internet jargon while troubleshooting an arming issue with my wizard 😆 This was very helpful and thanks ! Rock on down to my channel and see how my first flip ended in pain 👍🏻
Thanks for this. Eric, in the vid description, put the before the ethixltd.com and it should allow us to click thru on it to the site. As it is now, we can't click it. Thanks again! Really enjoy this format and seeing places in SD that I am very familiar with. :D
Cali looks so OZ sometimes with the dry land and the eucalytpus. Y'all should come over and visit sometime - y'all'd feel right at home with weather and trees and shit, Free bed at mine if you do.
I love it, back to the basics! My biggest thing with fpv is trying to gauge how low i am or how close something is to me. Think my fpv camera is 140 fov runcam mini, is there a better camera that will help me judge my distance to something?
