I actually do think you look Turkish/Greek Cypriot. In fact, you remind me a lot of my Turkish friend from high school, the way you talk and everything!

I am Greek and Turkish. My family lives in Kyrenia, Cyprus. I live in San Francisco born and raised.

Im half egyptian, half bangladeshi, and my grandma is part turkish. But I was born in raised in the US. I would have guessed you might be from Lebanon, Morocco, or Syria.

turkish people have big respect for their flag. They dont put it on the floor or wear it as pants or something because its disrespectful so it might seem a bit rude to turkish people that you throw it away like that.

Turkish from the Netherlands. I couldnt speak Turkish for most of my youth and got embarrased a lot when i couldnt form the sentences right, so i decided to learn it myself and it has helped me a lot. I suggest you do the same if you want to speak it fluently before you become an adult.

Actually you dont look Cypriot , just your eyes and the nose , the rest like the colour the eyebrows and the scarp is totally turkish or another arabic country around turkey ! I lived in Cyprus and the UK and I have to say that your style is very different from Turkish Cypriot girls in Cyprus. Actually, I haven't seen any girl with the headscarf there(except Turkish girls maybe). But your look, makeup and headscarf looks VERY British-Pakistani have to say. So my guess is that most of your friends in high school were muslim and Pakistani British girls.

I'm turkish, born and grew up in The Netherlands. I do go to Turkey during the summer though. I can also speak it fluently because my parents taught me Turkish first because Dutch would come along with school and shit anyway. By the way the Turkish word for the dish you mentioned is sarma, dolma is something else :)

Hayredin Barbarossa was 100% Greek from father and mother and still served the Ottoman navy, was a fanatic islamist and wiped out innocent christians just like any other Turk. He was a Turk period. There does not eixst a thing such as "muslim Greek" or "turkish cypriot". Once you are a muslim you are not Greek. When you are a Turk you are a Turk, you have nothing to do with the Greek island of Cyprus or with any other Greek island. It always amazes me how Turks psychologically feel the urge to be connected with us Greeks and can't digest their own reality.
