Part of the reason Etho's voice sounds so different is because of his internet back then. Remember when he'd only upload like 360 or 480 res videos because it took so long? I remember being excited that he was going to start uploading 720, lol.

Wow, not just is this old footage, but it's crazy how early on in Minecraft it was... excited about stacking chests and the glitchiness of multiplayer... and did you said your 22,000 subscriber video? The craziest thing about this is just how old Minecraft is. The old sounds are still there, stairs couldn't turn upside down, and logs couldn't even be on their sides yet. Crazy stuff man

Man, it's funny hearing the way you guys talk, about this server, like you have no clue who the people are, and as if it's a completely random server you are just trying out. I'm sure that's the way it was at the time, but in my memory, it's a big famous server filled with lots of personalities that I know well having watched for years. Kind of surreal.

Those were the days when food really was harder to find, and finding sheep was like winning the lottery, every old game of minecraft there was always like two - three nights where you just dug a hole and waited through the night. Don't get me wrong though, I'm glad they have sheep and pigs and chickens and cows everywhere now, it just makes it so much easier. Thanks for the nostalgia Doc!

This may sound very weird, but honestly, when I saw the original spawn village at 11:00 I started to get tears in my eyes. Since I first found Mindcrack back in 2011, I used to get home from school and spend hours watching all of the member’s uploads. Then I’d hop on the server with my friends and play until I had to go to bed. Seeing this server and hearing Etho’s voice has just reignited so many old memories and feelings, it’s taken me right back. I now go to work from 7 till 7 every day and my life is filled with so much stuff, sitting down and playing Minecraft just doesn’t have a place in my schedule. Thank you for this, I know Mindcrack will never be the same, and the servers I used to play on are long, long gone - but videos like this are absolute gems to any of the kids that grew up on Minecraft, like me.

This is the content that first brought me to watch doc and etho. Although they have both grown, their genuine enjoyment for playing video games is still seen on their channels. They are just a couple of guys who make videos for fun. Genuine content can be hard to find on RU-vid these days, so I'm glad there are creators like etho and doc.

Doc complaining how easy the game got back then warms my heart... Nowadays where distances of thousands of blocks can be traveled in a matter of minutes using elytras or ice boat tracks makes the world feel so small, they didn't know what was headed their way :'D

Back in the day, when everyone was using a texture pack, and if you weren't you were a total noob, but not everyone wanted to use the super cartoony or "realistic" looking ones, so folks like Doc would just go slightly higher res.

I remember watching ethos videos in back in 2012, and then in 2013 mabye i remember finding this crazy dude with a german accent digging out a giant hole for his witch farm... then i stopped playing and watching videos, but now i just watch yours and X's videos without playing, for the nostalgica, i guess.

Still can't believe how Guude f'ed Mindcrack with the decision to put merchandise in front of content. Etho left with the reasons he explained once and I agreed with his decision. Business-wise, it was the best one he could've made. Other than him, only Doc managed to survive the "downfall" of mindcrack after that, and I'm glad Xisuma hasn't made the same mistake. Content is the reason why merchandise gets sold, not the way around. Good times...

I was watching an old video of Guude's and it is so amazing. I can't describe it in any other way than just the ultimate pleb status by today's standards. Guude was walking around with nothing but a diamond chest plate, with just the tiniest sliver of durability. It really shows how far all of you have come with the art of Minecraft videos producing some truly stunning and breathtaking content. Good on you guys. I'm so happy to see how far you all have come.

Started watching you back in the day with monkeyfarm in your modded lets play. I don't remember how I found monleyfarm, but he I think the first youtuber I actually subbed to lol. When you swapped over to the modded mindcrack server and did thaumcraft I was just hooked. When stopped that series abruptly I was just heartbroken.
