You can only get to canada by being lost walking for three nights until you reach the great syrup lakes, then silently following the Great Golden Maple Moose until you arrive at a Tim's

There being a cow in present is very good give away! (if it is Africa). Cattle production in Africa is limited to certain areas because of drought, but also the Tsetse fly, which carries a dealy parasite that can infect cattle. Almos the entire top and middle area of Africa is not populated by cows because of this.

The England one was super easy, could tell just from the fencing as soon as the map opened on it lol Especially the square fenced off trees! Definitely more of a Northern village although I wouldn't have been able to guess exactly where!

24:40 -- Awww thanks for reminding me, Doc! Answered all my questions w.r.t nailing down distance from the Equator. Etho's question about apparent size of the Sun is all to do with how much light from the Sun the camera catches as glare. To get a precise size of the Sun for the camera's lens would require much filtering, as in viewing a solar eclipse. Further south than I thought!

You can try not limit yourself on steps but on time :) you can set 5 min timer so you have to finish in 25 minutes :) (or set less and even faster) :)

Del is a contraction of De and El, meaning "Of The". You can still use each individually, though.

Hey Doc, i am Turkish. But yavaş doesnt mean come up fast. In fact it means slow down. You had the exact opposite. Hehehe. It warns the driver to slow down because of those road sode restaurants and the petrol station because someone could come out on the road. Doesnt really matter tho. You are not Turkish.

@@nickthealien9963 It's so large, I knew there were river-y parts, wetlands, cities etc. ... and obviously most people live in cities, and most cities are coastal. I guess when I've encountered Australia in Geoguessr it's so far always been city, whereas when I see video of Australia it's always been outback. But the wetlands of Australia sound super interesting, from what little I've read, and I've also recently read about Brumbies which sound like they are in more temperate regions.

The funniest thing about this episode for me was that as soon as I saw that first picture of that particular location, I was yelling "England! It's England!" at my screen. Etho was right in pointing out "It's winter... but there's no snow" which is a pretty good clue, and then you found the phone box and so I thought I'd try using some local knowledge (the kind of village to take pride in maintaining an old phone box, use of red brick rather than local stone for at least one house etc.) to narrow it down and beat you and ended up... further away. GG, guys!

I will admit that I love listening to Doc playing GeoGuessr to hear his interpretation of other languages. I am Australian and his pronunciation of "Cobber Pedy" had me laughing. Coober Pedy is an interesting town, most of it is underground. Keep up the great work mate! :)

This game is so much fun, I just guessed New Zealand correctly, I was off by only 19,3 km. I live nowhere near New Zealand nor have i ever been there, it so funny how you still most of the time can guess where you could be. Thanks for playing this for us, love it!

The last one was actually in the arrow head of MN. Birch trees do grow there, and being I was born and raised in the state, I could tell that you were looking at a camp site. The northern part of the state is very lush with woods. It's mythological history has a tie in to Paul Bunyan. The wooden sign that looked like it was spray painted said resort. Also yellow dash lines are indicative to the US as well as Canada.

50:00 I actually recognized a place for once! I'm really bad at this. Kinda hard not to recognize the Willis tower if you're from the US; I've been there quite a few times, that took me way to long to recognize though. I would suggest a time limit instead of a step limit though, the steps allow for a lot of talking and analyzing but you don't get to see much.

I'm getting good at the Canada map, recognizing vegetation and such. Before I see the answer for that 5th one, I'm gonna guess somewhere in the middle of Prince Edward Island. It looks a lot like north-ish Ontario but PEI has messed with me more than once. Islands in general have just such a variety in such a small space it's really hard to get a general feel for them like "BC has big trees" or "Saskatchewan is flat"

Doc, on Geo guesser you can challenge friends. You could make it a head to head against each other and maybe set a time limit on how long you get (5mins per location). That would give ≈ 30min vid

In Spanish del is a conjunction of de and el. It has nothing to do with whether the following word starts with an L. Also the -hue ending is a good indicator of a Central or South American native word.
