It’s very inspiring to see how you change what motivates you to play Minecraft rather than slowly losing interest over time. I guess I have to learn to adapt to change and be more open to new experiences :D

Compilations of you collecting resources add so much to the videos! I know you don't like featuring things that you consider boring or mundane, but think of the number of Marvel movies that have compilations of people welding, creating, hitting things with hammers - then add to that the nostalgia of us being there when the farms were made. It adds so much and makes the world feel so alive as opposed to a series of disconnected projects that might as well be made in creative. More item collecting montages please!!

The Chocolate 🏝️ homage within the first 10 minutes of the episode is so nostalgic it goes from a slight longing feeling to a full on gut-wrenching sensation that hurts and feels good at the same time. Maybe like the feeling of the drop of a rollercoaster but instead of any buildup, you teleported us to the top of the rollercoaster without us knowing so the sudden drop was even more powerful than it would have been. Yep. You go from not knowing who Etho is or maybe vaguely heard his name but have no clue what he's known or why he's relevant to see him appear in a video collab with another hermit (or the Life series), and notice how people seem to have nothing but praise for Etho and revere him, even his fellow hermits who still seem to be in disbelief that they actually get to play on a server with him and treat him like a mini-celebrity to deciding to watch an episode of his to figure out why he's so universally well-loved and during the episode think, "I don't get it, why this guy? How does he inspire so much love and obsession and "legend-status" but you're slightly intrigued so you keep watching and within a few episodes he charms you from your head to your toes and you slowly learn why he's called "the father of redstone" and what he contributed to the technical community in its infant stages while being disappointed that he takes so long to update that you decide to watch an older SMP or LP, modded or vanilla, then you start watching his Team Canada super hostile and adventure maps, check out his OOGE series and see a much different more raw side of Bdubs, then maybe decide to watch Fly Boys seasons 1 and 2 from Etho's perspective because you've vaguely heard Bdubs say something about Fly Boys, then you decide to watch Etho's mindcrack seasons (2-4), learn about the split, see that Etho joined hermitcraft in season 3 and played mostly with Doc making their own theme park of mini-games, wonder what Dangland is referring to, then decide to watch Etho's UHC seasons and realize how cracked he was back then before the combat update... okay enough I'm getting tired lol but I could keep going for awhile. This was somewhat my journey. But no matter how you get there, everyone gets to the place where Etho is Love, Etho is LIfe and even though you don't play Minecraft anymore or even watch other MCYT, you will never stop watching Etho because there's just something special about him that you can't quite identify. Is it the way that he doesn't ask for likes or subs? Is it the way he remains humble despite endless frothing praise? Is it the way he downplays the hopper clock while everyone else always called it by its proper name "the Etho Hopper clock"? Is it the way he seems not to play the youtube game like everyone else yet succeeding with the algorithm regardless? Is it the way he has never asked for money and there's no way to donate to him? Who can say?

Oh man, looking at the thumbnail made me nostalgic of back then when i started watching Etho. I didnt watch any of Ethos recent videos anymore but after some random shorts by Bdubs I remember about Etho again. I havent watched Etho since the day he had stuff to do and couldnt have the time to record a video for over 3 months. And what did I do? I came back to his channel and to my surprise, he has a lot more content than before and I cant wait to binge them all. Love you Etho and thank you for an amazing time and childhood. You taught me a lot and to be kind as you do when you do your episodes

In one sense they way you described Minecraft and it’s addition of features is a good analogy for the appeal of your let’s play world. Whenever you make a new project it has the possibility to connect to other past projects thus creating additional value.

There's something comforting about knowing that I'm not alone in this kind of slow-burn approach to projects. I've been an artist for more than 15 years now, and whatever personal projects I'm working on/have worked on in the past always have a chance of staying around in my mind, taking a backseat for years and years, only to stir my interest again later. Just this last summer (in 2022), I got back into working on a couple of characters' stories that I initially came up with back in 2010... it felt so nice coming back to something so old with a fresh perspective :) Anyway, glad to see a little bit of 'behind the scenes' grind, too. Thanks, Etho!

Man, the mural brought back memories from those early episodes: the whole Spaz story arc, but also the EATS Road, the little firework things for people who donated, and so many other ones. Many people are in the same boat as I am, but it’s still crazy to think that I’ve been watching Etho since middle school, maybe 7th grade, and now I’m about to graduate college this semester. So much has changed, for good and bad. I’m glad this channel has been a constant through it all.

I've been watching your videos for years and can't even remember when I started. When I get home from work, it's just so relaxing to sit down and watch you work on your world. It's probably because I've seen you work on this world for years and you do it in such an entertaining way. This episode was a real nostalgic trip as you traveled your world collecting resources from all the farms you built. I've often wondered how much work it takes to get all the resources and keep all the farms running smoothly. The new mural is a great addition to the world and it's a very nice reminder of how far you and Minecraft have come over the years. Anyway, I just wanted to say I appreciate you Etho and all the entertaining videos you've made over the years.

I think that I speak for almost everyone when I say that we love the behind the scenes type of video. Don’t get dragged along in the megabuilds, the constant “pushing” for exceptional content or whatever pressure you might be feeling. To be honest, I think most people like watching your videos because of your personality. The little stories, the quirks in your Minecraft world, the stuff that doesn’t work instead of the stuff that does. In other words: if you have something cool to tell us, even something minor, just put it out there! The whole Etho community is just made of lovely people that appreciate all the little things you do. So thanks for making videos every so often, I always make time to watch them as soon as I can 😎

Phenomenal episode, I don't remember the last time I didn't enjoy an episode, but this one was just so delightful to watch! The nostalgia bomb that hits upon revealing the old Chocolate Island storage room was truly incredible. I've been watching since I was in my 3rd Year of Primary School (2012), and remember you designing, tweaking, burning, blowing up, and exploring the intricacies of Minecraft in that storage room. Now I have been away from home for university for over a year, yet Etho has remained this steadfast part of my life. While my personal playing of Minecraft is now limited to replaying old Vechs CTM maps, as I prefer the challenges and charm of the early days of the MC release, I always watch these episodes and will mourn the day Etho stops uploading or fails to make me smile. Keep doing what you're doing, I am sending all my love from Australia.
